    - by artaxerxe

  • django inner redirects

Hello I have one project that in my own development computer (uses mod_wsgi to serve the project) caused no problems. In live server (uses mod_fastcgi) it generates 500 though. my url conf is like this: # -*- coding: utf-8 -*- from django.conf.urls.defaults import * # Uncomment the next two lines to enable the admin: from django.contrib import admin admin.autodiscover() urlpatterns = patterns('', url(r'^admin/', include(admin.site.urls)), url(r'^', include('jalka.game.urls')), ) and # -*- coding: utf-8 -*- from django.conf.urls.defaults import * from django.contrib.auth import views as auth_views urlpatterns = patterns('jalka.game.views', url(r'^$', view = 'front', name = 'front',), url(r'^ennusta/(?P<game_id>\d+)/$', view = 'ennusta', name = 'ennusta',), url(r'^login/$', auth_views.login, {'template_name': 'game/login.html'}, name='auth_login'), url(r'^logout/$', auth_views.logout, {'template_name': 'game/logout.html'}, name='auth_logout'), url(r'^arvuta/$', view = 'arvuta', name = 'arvuta',), ) and .htaccess is like that: Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteOptions MaxRedirects=10 # RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} . • How do I process multipart http responses in Ruby Net:HTTP?

    - by seal-7
    There is so much information out there on how to generate multipart responses or do multipart file uploads. I can't seem to find any information on how to process a multipart http response. Here is some IRB output from a multipart http response I am working with. >> response.http.content_type => "multipart/related" >> response.http.body[0..2048] => "\r\n------=_Part_3_806633756.1271797659309\r\nContent-Type: text/xml; charset=UTF-8\r\nContent-Transfer-Encoding: binary\r\nContent-Id: <A0FCC4333C6D0FCA346B97FAB6B61818>\r\n\r\n<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"><soapenv:Body><ns1:runReportResponse soapenv:encodingStyle="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-encoding" xmlns:ns1="http://192.168.1.200:8080/jasperserver/services/repository"><ns2:result xmlns:ns2="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-rpc">runReportReturn</ns2:result><runReportReturn xsi:type="xsd:string">&lt;?xml version=&quot;1.0&quot; encoding=&quot;UTF-8&quot;?&gt;\n&lt;operationResult version=&quot;2.0.1&quot;&gt;\n\t&lt;returnCode&gt;&lt;![CDATA[0]]&gt;&lt;/returnCode&gt;\n&lt;/operationResult&gt;\n</runReportReturn></ns1:runReportResponse></soapenv:Body></soapenv:Envelope>\r\n------=_Part_3_806633756.1271797659309\r\nContent-Type: application/pdf\r\nContent-Transfer-Encoding: binary\r\nContent-Id: <report>\r\n\r\n%PDF-1.4\n%\342\343\317\323\n3 0 obj

  • Visual Studio 2008 project file does not load because of an unexpected encoding change.

    - by Xenan
In our team we have a database project in visual Studio 2008 which is under source control by Team Foundation Server. Every two weeks or so, after one co-worker checks in, the project file won't load on the other developers machines. The error message is: The project file could not be loaded. Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1. When I look at the project file in Notepad++, the file looks like this: ??<NUL?NULxNULmNULlNUL NULvNULeNULrNULsNULiNULoNULnNUL ... and so on (you can see <?xml version in this) whereas an normal project file looks like: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?> ... So probably something is wrong with the encoding of the file. This is a problem for us because it turns out to be impossible to get the file encoding correct again. The 'solution' is to throw away the project file an get the last know working version from source control. According to the file, the encoding should be UTF-16. According to Notepad++, the corrupted file is actually UTF-8. My questions are: Why is Visual Studio messing up the encoding of the project file, apparently at random times and at random machines? What should we do to prevent this? When it has happened, is there a possibility to restore the current file in the correct encoding instead of pulling an older version from source control? As a last note: the problem is with one single project file, all other project files don't expose this problem.

  • production vs dev server content-disposition filename encoding

    - by rgripper
I am using asp.net mvc3, download file in the same browser (Chrome 22). Here is the controller code: [HttpPost] public ActionResult Uploadfile(HttpPostedFileBase file)//HttpPostedFileBase file, string excelSumInfoId) { ... return File( result.Output, "application/vnd.ms-excel", String.Format("{0}_{1:yyyy.MM.dd-HH.mm.ss}.xls", "????????????", DateTime. Now)); } On my dev machine I download a programmatically created file with the correct name "????????????_2012.10.18-13.36.06.xls". Response: Content-Disposition:attachment; filename*=UTF-8''%D0%A1%D1%83%D0%BC%D0%BC%D0%B8%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%B2%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%B5_2012.10.18-13.36.06.xls Content-Length:203776 Content-Type:application/vnd.ms-excel Date:Thu, 18 Oct 2012 09:36:06 GMT Server:ASP.NET Development Server/10.0.0.0 X-AspNet-Version:4.0.30319 X-AspNetMvc-Version:3.0 And from production server I download a file with the name of the controller's action + correct extension "Uploadfile.xls", which is wrong. Response: Content-Disposition:attachment; filename="=?utf-8?B?0KHRg9C80LzQuNGA0L7QstCw0L3QuNC1XzIwMTIuMTAuMTgtMTMuMzYu?=%0d%0a =?utf-8?B?NTUueGxz?=" Content-Length:203776 Content-Type:application/vnd.ms-excel Date:Thu, 18 Oct 2012 09:36:55 GMT Server:Microsoft-IIS/7.5 X-AspNet-Version:4.0.30319 X-AspNetMvc-Version:3.0 X-Powered-By:ASP.NET Web.config files are the same on both machines. Why does filename gets encoded differently for the same browser? Are there any kinds of default settings in web.config that are different on machines that I am missing?

  • Issue encondig java->xls

    - by Xerg
This is not a pure java question and can also be related to HTML I've written a java servlet that queries a database table and shows the result as a html table. The user can also ask to receive the result as an Excel sheet. Im creating the Excel sheet by printing the same html table, but with the content-type of "application/vnd.ms-excel". The Excel file is created fine. The problem is that the tables may contain non-english data so I want to use a UTF-8 encoding. PrintWriter out = response.getWriter(); response.setContentType("application/vnd.ms-excel:ISO-8859-1"); //response.setContentType("application/vnd.ms-excel:UTF-8"); response.setHeader("cache-control", "no-cache"); response.setHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=file.xls"); out.print(src); out.flush(); The non-english characters appear as garbage (áéíóú) Also I tried converting to bytes from String byte[] arrByte = src.getBytes("ISO-8859-1"); String result = new String(arrByte, "UTF-8"); But I Still getting garbage, What can I do?. Thanks

  • Space-saving character encoding for japanese?

    - by Constantin
In my opinion a common problem: character encoding in combination with a bitmap-font. Most multi-language encodings have an huge space between different character types and even a lot of unused code points there. So if I want to use them I waste a lot of memory (not only for saving multi-byte text - i mean specially for spaces in my bitmap-font) - and VRAM is mostly really valuable... So the only reasonable thing seems to be: Using an custom mapping on my texture for i.e. UTF-8 characters (so that no space is waste). BUT: This effort seems to be same with use an own proprietary character encoding (so also own order of characters in my texture). In my specially case I got texture space for 4096 different characters and need characters to display latin languages as well as japanese (its a mess with utf-8 that only support generall cjk codepages). Had somebody ever a similiar problem (I really wonder, if not)? If theres already any approach? Edit: The same Problem is described here http://www.tonypottier.info/Unicode_And_Japanese_Kanji/ but it doesnt provide an real solution how to save these bitmapfont mappings to utf-8 space efficent. So any further help is welcome!

  • IIS6 compressing static files, but not JSON requests

    - by user500038
    I have IIS6 compression setup, and static content is being compressed correctly as per Coding Horror. Example of a static file: Response Headers Content-Length 55513 Content-Type application/x-javascript Content-Encoding gzip Last-Modified Mon, 20 Dec 2010 15:31:58 GMT Accept-Ranges bytes Vary Accept-Encoding Server Microsoft-IIS/6.0 X-Powered-By ASP.NET Date Wed, 29 Dec 2010 16:37:23 GMT Request Headers Accept */* Accept-Language en-us,en;q=0.5 Accept-Encoding gzip,deflate Accept-Charset ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7 Keep-Alive 115 Connection keep-alive As you can see, the response is correctly compressed. However with a JSON call you'll see the request with the gzip parameter correctly set: Accept application/json, text/javascript, */*; q=0.01 Accept-Language en-us,en;q=0.5 Accept-Encoding gzip,deflate Accept-Charset ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7 Keep-Alive 115 Connection keep-alive X-Requested-With XMLHttpRequest Then for the response: Cache-Control private Content-Length 6811 Content-Type application/json; charset=utf-8 Server Microsoft-IIS/6.0 X-Powered-By ASP.NET X-AspNet-Version 2.0.50727 X-AspNetMvc-Version 2.0 No gzip! I found this article by Rick Stahl, which outlines how to compress in your code, but I'd like IIS to handle this. Is this possible with IIS6?

  • Strange javascript decoding behavior in IE

    - by Yoni
I run the following html snippet in IE8 and IE7 with non-English characters (we tried both Hebrew and Chinese), and the second link never works properly. The displayed text in the alert box is mangled. This occurs in IE8 and IE7, but not in firefox. It is not dependent on Windows's regional settings. Here is the html snippet (html header and footer omitted for brevity, the content-type is "text/html; charset=utf-8", and so is the response header): <p> <a href="javascript:alert('ab????ab')">link with English and Hebrew text</a> <a href="javascript:alert('ab%D7%A9%D7%9C%D7%95%D7%9Dab')">same text, url encoded</a> </p> Here is the alert box that pops up when clicking the second link: I know that the string for "????" is encoded as 8 bytes in utf-8, thus there are 8 %NN items, and there are also 8 weird characters in the alert box. The problem is, how can I make IE recognize that this is utf-8 encoding text, like firefox does?

  • Windows cmd encoding change causes Python crash.

    - by Alex
First I chage Windows CMD encoding to utf-8 and run Python interpreter: chcp 65001 python Then I try to print a unicode sting inside it and when i do this Python crashes in a peculiar way (I just get a cmd prompt in the same window). >>> import sys >>> print u'ëèæîð'.encode(sys.stdin.encoding) Any ideas why it happens and how to make it work? UPD: sys.stdin.encoding returns 'cp65001' UPD2: It just came to me that the issue might be connected with the fact that utf-8 uses multi-byte character set (kcwu made a good point on that). I tried running the whole example with 'windows-1250' and got 'ëeaî?'. Windows-1250 uses single-character set so it worked for those characters it understands. However I still have no idea how to make 'utf-8' work here. UPD3: Oh, I found out it is a known Python bug. I guess what happens is that Python copies the cmd encoding as 'cp65001 to sys.stdin.encoding and tries to apply it to all the input. Since it fails to understand 'cp65001' it crushes on any input that contains non-ascii characters.

  • PHP webservice for c# application

    - by user293995
Hi, I want to create a php webservice server to be used from a C# application. I want to have a library who autogenerate wsdl file for easy management (That's the reason why I choosed NuSoap). I tried to use nusoap on PHP5. I have some problems with charset and Content-Type. Visual Studio gives this error : The HTML document does not contain Web service discovery information. Metadata contains a reference that cannot be resolved: 'https://www.xxx.yy'. There is a problem with the XML that was received from the network. See inner exception for more details. The encoding in the declaration 'ISO-8859-1' does not match the encoding of the document 'utf-8'. If the service is defined in the current solution, try building the solution and adding the service reference again. $soap= new soap_server(); $soap-xml_encoding = 'utf-8'; $soap-configureWSDL('Bonjour', 'https://www.xxx.yy'); $soap-wsdl-schemaTargetNamespace = 'http://soapinterop.org/xsd/'; $soap-register('bonjour', array('prenom' = 'xsd:string')); $HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA = file_get_contents("php://input"); $soap-service($HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA); header('Content-Type: application/soap+xml; charset=utf-8'); function bonjour($prenom) { return "Bonjour ".$prenom; } ? Does someone knows how to change that to make it compliant and working ? Thanks

  • OS X: Terminal output of javac is garbled.

    - by Don Werve
I've got my computer set up in Japanese (hey, it's good language practice), and everything is all fine and dandy... except javac. It displays localized error messages out to the console, but they're in Shift-JIS, not UTF8: $ javac this-file-doesnt-exist.java javac: ?t?@?C??????????????: this-file-doesnt-exist.java ?g????: javac <options> <source files> ?g?p?\??I?v?V?????~??X?g?????A-help ???g?p???? If I pipe the output through nkf -w, it's readable, but that's not really much of a solution: $ javac this-file-doesnt-exist.java 2>&1 | nkf -w javac: ????????????: this-file-doesnt-exist.java ???: javac <options> <source files> ????????????????????-help ?????? Everything else works fine (with UTF8) from the command-line; I can type filenames in Japanese, tab-completion works fine, vi can edit UTF-8 files, etc. Although java itself spits out all its messages in English (which is fine). Here's the relevant bits of my environment: LC_CTYPE=UTF-8 LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8 From what it looks like, javac isn't picking up the encoding properly, and java isn't picking up the language at all. I've tried -Dfile.encoding=utf8 as well, but that does nada, and documentation on the localization of the JVM toolchain is pretty nonexistent, at least from Google.

  • Why do I get empty request from the Jakarta Commons HttpClient?

    - by polyurethan
I have a problem with the Jakarta Commons HttpClient. Before my self-written HttpServer gets the real request there is one request which is completely empty. That's the first problem. The second problem is, sometimes the request data ends after the third or fourth line of the http request: POST / HTTP/1.1 User-Agent: Jakarta Commons-HttpClient/3.1 Host: 127.0.0.1:4232 For debugging I am using the Axis TCPMonitor. There every things is fine but the empty request. How I process the stream: StringBuffer requestBuffer = new StringBuffer(); InputStreamReader is = new InputStreamReader(socket.getInputStream(), "UTF-8"); int byteIn = -1; do { byteIn = is.read(); if (byteIn > 0) { requestBuffer.append((char) byteIn); } } while (byteIn != -1 && is.ready()); String requestData = requestBuffer.toString(); How I send the request: client.getParams().setSoTimeout(30000); method = new PostMethod(url.getPath()); method.getParams().setContentCharset("utf-8"); method.setRequestHeader("Content-Type", "application/xml; charset=utf-8"); method.addRequestHeader("Connection", "close"); method.setFollowRedirects(false); byte[] requestXml = getRequestXml(); method.setRequestEntity(new InputStreamRequestEntity(new ByteArrayInputStream(requestXml))); client.executeMethod(method); int statusCode = method.getStatusCode(); Have anyone of you an idea how to solve these problems? • Accessing jQuery objects in the module pattern

    - by Stewart
Hello, Really getting in to javascript and looking around at some patterns. One I have come accross is the module pattern. Its seems like a nice way to think of chucks of functionality so I went ahead and tried to implement it with jQuery. I ran in to a snag though. Consider the following code <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> <title>index</title> <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.4/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"> $(document).ready(function(){ var TestClass2 = (function(){ var someDiv; return { thisTest: function () { someDiv = document.createElement("div"); $(someDiv).append("#index"); $(someDiv).html("hello"); $(someDiv).addClass("test_class"); } } })(); TestClass2.thisTest(); }); </script> </head> <body id="index" onload=""> <div id="name"> this is content </div> </body> </html> The above code alerts the html content of the div and then adds a class. These both use jQuery methods. The problem is that the .html() method works fine however i can not add the class. No errors result and the class does not get added. What is happening here? Why is the class not getting added to the div?

  • convert jruby 1.8 string to windows encoding?

    - by Arne
Hey, I want to export some data from my jruby on rails webapp to excel, so I create a csv string and send it as a download to the client using send_data(text, :filename => "file.csv", :type => "text/csv; charset=CP1252", :encoding => "CP1252") The file seems to be in UTF-8 which Excel cannot read correctly. I googled the problem and found that iconv can convert encodings. I try to do that with: ic = Iconv.new('CP1252', 'UTF-8') text = ic.iconv(text) but when I send the converted text it does not make any difference. It is still UTF-8 and Excel cannot read the special characters. there are several solutions using iconv, so this seems to work for others. When I convert the file on the linux shell manually with iconv it works. What am I doing wrong? Is there a better way? Im using: - jruby 1.3.1 (ruby 1.8.6p287) (2009-06-15 2fd6c3d) (Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.6.0_19) [i386-java] - Debian Lenny - Glassfish app server - Iceweasel 3.0.6

  • Oracle 10.1 and 11.2 produce different XML using the same statement

    - by MindFyer
I am migrating a database from Oracle 10.1 to 11.2 and I have the following problem. The statement SELECT '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>' || (Xml).getClobVal() AS XmlClob FROM ( SELECT XmlElement( "Element1", ( SELECT XmlAgg(tpx.Xml) FROM ( SELECT XmlElement("Element3",XmlForest('content' as Element4)) AS Xml FROM dual ) tpx ) AS "Element2" ) AS Xml FROM dual ) On the original 10.1 database produces XML like this... <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <Element1> <Element2> <Element3> <ELEMENT4>content</ELEMENT4> </Element3> </Element2> </Element1> On the new 11.2 system it looks like this... <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <Element1> <Element3> <ELEMENT4>content</ELEMENT4> </Element3> </Element1> Is there some environmental variable I am missing that tells Oracle how to format its XML. There are hundreds of thousands of lines of PL/SQL in the database; it would be a mammoth task to rewrite if it turned out they had changed they way Oracle formats XML between versions. Hopefully someone has come accross this before. Thanks

Volume Serial Number is 8C33-61BF Directory of D:\temp\1 02.02.2010 09:31 <DIR> . 02.02.2010 09:31 <DIR> .. 02.02.2010 09:32 508 1.txt 02.02.2010 09:28 12 delete.bat 02.02.2010 09:20 95 delete.cmd 02.02.2010 09:13 <DIR> Rún 02.02.2010 09:13 <DIR> ????? ??????? 3 File(s) 615 bytes 4 Dir(s) 11 576 438 784 bytes free D:\temp\1>rmdir Rún D:\temp\1>dir Volume in drive D has no label. Volume Serial Number is 8C33-61BF Directory of D:\temp\1 02.02.2010 09:56 <DIR> . 02.02.2010 09:56 <DIR> .. 02.02.2010 09:32 508 1.txt 02.02.2010 09:28 12 delete.bat 02.02.2010 09:20 95 delete.cmd 02.02.2010 09:13 <DIR> ????? ??????? 3 File(s) 615 bytes 3 Dir(s) 11 576 438 784 bytes free Then I put the same rmdir commands in batch script and save it in UTF-8 encoding. But when I run nothing happens, literally nothing: not even echo works from batch script in this case. Even saving script in OEM encoding does not help. So it seems that when I change codepage to UTF-8 in console, scripts just stop working. Does somebody know how to fix that?

  • submiting forms values xml flash php

    - by Menew
    I want to dynamically submit form values into this xml file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <globals soundFXvolume="5" fadeInTime="0.25" glowKnockout="false" glowInner="false" glowQuality="1" glowStrength="1" glowBlurRadius="2" glowAlpha="1"/> however, i was trying to change the original xml file to this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <globals> <soundFXvolume>5</soundFXvolume> <fadeInTime>0.25</fadeInTime> <glowKnockout>false</glowKnockout> <glowInner>false</glowInner> <glowQuality>1</glowQuality> <glowStrength>1</glowStrength> <glowBlurRadius>2</glowBlurRadius> <glowAlpha>1</glowAlpha> </globals> then from there, i will use php to submit the form values. is there a way to submit my form values to the original xml below: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <globals soundFXvolume="want this to be form values" fadeInTime="0.25" glowKnockout="false" glowInner="false" glowQuality="1" glowStrength="1" glowBlurRadius="want this to be form values" glowAlpha="1"/> thanks

  • How can I embed a XML document inside a XHTML document?

    - by Oriol
    For example, how can I embed <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <root> <node><![CDATA[Text]]></node> </root> in my XHTML? I know I can put it in a CDATA section... <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <title>My title</title> </head> <body> <p>I am a XHTML paragraph!</p> <div> <![CDATA[ <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <root> <node>Text</node> </root> ]]> </div> </body> </html> ... but then I have to remove XML file's CDATA sections and the XML is parsed as text instead of XML. Then, I get this... ... but I want something like this:

  • '??' Not a valid unicode character, but in the unicode character set?

    - by Steve Cotner
Short story: I can't get an entity like '𠂉' to store in a MySQL database, either by using a text field in a Ruby on Rails app (with default UTF-8 encoding) or by inputting it directly with a MySQL GUI app. As far as I can tell, all Chinese characters and radicals can be entered into the database without problem, but not these rarely typed 'character components.' The character mentioned above is unicode U+20089 and html entity &#131209; I can get it to display on the page by entering <html>&#131209;</html> and removing html escaping, but I would like to store it simply as the unicode character and keep the html escaping in place. There are many other Chinese 'components' (parts of full characters, generally consisting of 2 or 3 strokes) that cause the same problem. According to this page, the character mentioned is in the UTF-8 charset: http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/20089/charset_support.htm But on the neighboring '...20089/index.htm' page, there's an alert saying it's not a valid unicode character. For reference, that entity can be found in Mac OS X by searching through the character palette (international menu, "Show Character Palette"), searching by radical, and looking under the '?' radical. Apologies if this is too open-ended... can a character like this be stored in a UTF-8-based database? How is this character both supported and unsupported, both present in the character set and not valid?
