    I have an Enum for Days of week (with Everyday, weekend and weekdays) as follows where each entry has an int value. public enum DaysOfWeek { Everyday(127), Weekend(65), Weekdays(62), Monday(2), Tuesday(4), Wednesday(8), Thursday(16), Friday(32), Saturday(64), Sunday(1); private int bitValue; private DaysOfWeek(int n){ this.bitValue = n; } public int getBitValue(){ return this.bitValue; } } Given a TOTAL of any combination of the entries, what would be the simplest way to calculate all individual values and make an arraylist from it. For example given the number 56 (i.e. Wed+Thur+Fri), how to calculate the list of individual values.

  • jQuery Week Calendar overlapping problem

    Hi, I'm developing an application with uses this calendar for resource reservation, but I have a problem when creating a new event. I don't want events to overlap, so I set allow allowCalEventOverlap to false. However, it still overlaps in a transparent way. But the biggest problem is that I can't drag an event if there's another on the same day, even if their start and end dates don't overlap.   • Is there a Silverlight week picker control?

    We have a report that compares data between weeks, and it seems like this is the exception and not the rule in the reporting world. I'm looking for an elegant way of selecting "a week" in a Silverlight control. I'd prefer not to spend the time building it ourselves, so it would be nice if I could buy a well polished control that does this. Sure, I could use a drop down list, but I would like a way to easily navigate through potentially years worth of weeks. Any existing controls out there? Any clever ways of using basic controls to achieve our goal? Thank you!

    If I have a date, how do I calculate the week number for that date within that year? For example, in 2008, January 1st to January 6th are in week 1 and January 7th to the 13th are in week 2, so if my date was January 10th 2008, my week number would be 2. We have the function: string FindAddr(const list<Employee> l, string name) { for( list<Employee>::const_iterator i = l.begin(); i != l.end(); i++) { if( *i == name ) // here will be compilation error { return (*i).addr; } } return ""; } I added dummy Employee class to that: class Employee { string n; public: string addr; Employee(string name) : n(name) {} Employee() {} string name() const { return n; } operator string() { return n; } }; And got compilation error: error: no match for ‘operator==’ in ‘i.std::_List_iterator<_Tp>::operator* [with _Tp = Employee]() == name’ It works only if add operator== to Employee. But, Herb Sutter wrote that: The Employee class isn't shown, but for this to work it must either have a conversion to string or a conversion ctor taking a string. But Employee has a conversion function and conversion constructor as well. GCC version 4.4.3. Compiled normally, g++ file.cpp without any flags. There should be implicit conversion and it should work, why it doesn't?

    I'm trying to get the count of the number of times a player played each week like this: player.game_objects.extra(select={'week': 'WEEK(`games_game`.`date`)'}).aggregate(count=Count('week')) But Django complains that FieldError: Cannot resolve keyword 'week' into field. Choices are: <lists model fields> I can do it in raw SQL like this SELECT WEEK(date) as week, COUNT(WEEK(date)) as count FROM games_game WHERE player_id = 3 GROUP BY week Is there a good way to do this without executing raw SQL in Django?

  • MDX: How To Aggregate Hierarchy Level Members With Same Name

    Greetings, I am new to MDX, and am having trouble understanding how to perform an aggregation on a hierarchy level with members that have the same names. This query is particular to Microsoft Analysis Services 2000 cubes. I have a given hierarchy dimension with levels defined as follows: [Segment].[Flow].[Segment Week] Within the [Segment Week] level, I have the following members: [Week- 1] [Week- 2] [Week- 3] ... [Week- 1] [Week- 2] [Week- 3] The members have the same names, but are aligned with a different [Flow] in the parent level. So, the first occurrence of the [Week- 1] member aligns with [Flow].[A] while the second occurrence of [Week- 1] aligns with [Flow].[B]. What I am trying to do is aggregate all the members within the [Segment Week] level that have the same name. In SQL terms, I want to GROUP BY the member names within the [Segment Week] level. I am unsure how to do this. Thank you. Dave

  • How does .NET determine the week in a TimeZoneInfo.TransitionTime ?

    Greetings I'm trying to do some DateTime math for various time zones and I wanted to take daylight savings into account. Lets say I have a TimeZoneInfo and i've determined the appropriate AdjustmentRule for a given DateTime. Lets also say the particular TimeZoneInfo i'm dealing with is specified as rule.DaylightTransitionStart.IsFixedDateRule == false, so I need to figure out if the given DateTime falls within the start/end TransitionTime.Week values. This is where I'm getting confused, what is .NET considering as a "week"? My first thought was it probably used something like DayOfWeek thisMarksWeekBoundaries = Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture.DateTimeFormat.FirstDayOfWeek; and went through the calendar assigning days to week, incrementing week every time it crossed a boundary. But, if I do this for May 2010 there are 6 week boundary buckets, and the max valid value for TransitionTime.Week is 5 so this can't be right. Whats the right way to slice up May 2010?

  • Whew.... what a week!

    Last week was a busy week for the UPK and Tutor teams at Oracle. It started with the the Collaborate Conference in Las Vegas and ended with our first UPK and Tutor Customer Advisory Board (CAB) meeting at Oracle HQ. The Collaborate Conference is a yearly event sponsored by three of the largest Oracle User Groups. • Oracle Applications User Group (OAUG) • Independent Oracle User Group (IOUG) • Quest - International User Group The User Groups are completely user run organizations with Oracle participation. If you've never attended a conference, time to start planning for the 2011 event in Orlando! If that's out of your reach, there are many regional and industry user groups that meet on a regular basis. They offer a great way to get involved, network with other users, and increase your knowledge around the Oracle applications. For a list of groups near you, check out the Oracle User Group Center. I'll add that the biggest meeting of Oracle users is at the Oracle Open World Conference in San Francisco in September, where we will have many UPK & Tutor focused development and customer sessions. More information on Oracle Open World will be forthcoming over the next few months. We hope to see many of you there! The CAB was a first for the UPK and Tutor team. Although we speak with customers regularly, this gave us an opportunity to meet in a more formal setting to discuss industry trends, business issues, and the direction of the products. Members serve a 2 year term and are required to attend 2 meetings per year, one in person, one via phone. We have some tweaking to do to our meeting format (most members wanted it to be longer!), but the overwhelming consensus was that it was a great success. There were many experiences and ideas shared and the wheels of the UPK and Tutor Development teams have been turning ever since. I'm sure you will see some of these discussions result in new product features over time. What a great week!

    I've plotted some nice graphs with jquery flot. On the x-as the weeknumber is displayed. I would like to display the weeknumbers of the winter season (oct-apr) but that is not possible 'cos flot likes a straight set (0,1,2,3,4 etc) and not (49, 50, 51, 52, 1, 2 etc).
