• mod_mono 'Service Temporarily Unavailable' issue

  I've deployed an ASP.NET web application on a Linux (Debian) server running Apache 2.2 and mod_mono 1.9 It's working well, however Mono occasionally segfaults and uses the entire CPU which causes the website to stop working and display 'Service Temporarily Unavailable' Killing mono fixes it, but obviously this isn't a good solution. • Foremost custom file type not accepted by -t argument

  I'm trying to recover a deleted file on an ext3 file system using the foremost utility. The file I want to recover is a hpp C++ source code file. However, foremost does not automatically support the hpp file extension, so I have to add it to the config file. So, following the instructions on the man page, I add the following line to the config file: hpp n 50000 include include ASCII Then I run foremost as follows: $foremost -v -T -t hpp -i /dev/md0 -o /home/recover/ Instead of doing anything, it just displays the help message. If I change the hpp to htm or jpg, it works. So apparently foremost isn't accepting the custom file type I added into the config file. But I've looked over this dozens of times now, and I can't see what I'm doing wrong. I'm following the instructions exactly. Why doesn't foremost recognize the new file type I added to the config file?

• Loading any MVC page fails with the error "An item with the same key has already been added."

  I am having an intermittent issue that is appearing on one server only, and is causing all MVC pages to fail to load with the error "An item with the same key has already been added." • C# Gui setting control.Enabled to false fires OnClick event???

  For some really weird reason when i set the .Enabled property to false on a simple text box on a small GUI, it fires a radio buttons OnClick event and its causing lots of problems. • Reading bmp file for encrypting and decrypting txt file into it

  I am trying to read a bmp file in C++(Turbo). But i m not able to print binary stream. I want to encode txt file into it and decrypt it. How can i do this. I read that bmp file header is of 54 byte. But how and where should i append txt file in bmp file. ?   I need a solution to store images (1 billion) which users will upload to a website via PHP or Javascript upload (website will have 1 billion page views a month using Linux Debian distros) assuming 20 photos per user maximum (10 thumbnails of size 90px by 90px and 10 large, script resized images of having maximum width 500px or maximum height 500px depending on shape of image, meaning square, rectangle, horizontal, vertical etc). Assume this to be a LEMP-stack (Linux Nginx MySQL PHP) social-media or social-matchmaking type application whose content will be text and images. Since everyone knows storing tons of images (website users uploaded images in this case) are bad inside a single directory or NFS etc, please explain all the details about the architecture and configuration of the entire setup of storage solution, to store 1 billion images on any method you recommend (no third-party cloud storage like S3 etc. It has to be within the private data center using our own hardware and resources.). The solution has to include both the storage solution and organizing the images uploaded by users. How will we organize the users images if a single user will not have more than 20 images (10 thumbs and 10 large of having either width or height 500px)? Please consider that this has to be organized in a structural way so we can fetch a single user's images via PHP/Javascript or API programmatically through some type of user's unique identifier(s).

  Question for which I'm having trouble finding an answer on Google or Technet... Does granting the SYSTEM user permissions to DFS-shared files and folders have any effect on DFS replication? (And while we're at it, is there any good reason not to let SYSTEM have permissions to DFS-shared files?) It comes up because I have a collection of DFS namespaces and folders that I'm not able to make someone else's problem, and while troubleshooting a problem where one DFS replica just wasn't replicating with another for no discernible reason, I observed that the SYSTEM didn't have any permissions granted to any of the files or folders in the folder in question. So I set SYSTEM to have full control and propagated it down, and our DFS health diagnostic reports went from showing a backlog of ~80 files to a backlog of ~100,000... and things started replicating, including a number of files that had been missing on one server or the other (so more than just the permissions changes started replicating). Naturally, this made me curious as to whether or not DFS needs the SYSTEM account to have permissions to do its work, or if perhaps it was just any change to folder tree in question that prompted DFS to jump into action. If it matters, our DFS namespaces were set up under 2000/2003, and I have just recently finished upgrading all the servers to 2008 R2 or 2012 (with UAC enabled, blech), but have not yet gotten around to raising the DFS namespace functional levels to Server 2008. (And bonus points if anyone has an official Microsoft article on NTFS file permissions and the SYSTEM account as it pertains to DFS or network files.)

• Storing lots of large strings with frequent "appends" and few reads

  In my current project, I need to store a very long ASCII string to each instance of a given object. This string will receive an 2 appends per minute and will not be retrieved so frequently. The worst case scenario is a 5-10MB string. I'll have thousands of instances of my object and I'm worried that storing all those strings in the filesystem would not be optimal, but I can't think of a better solution. Can anyone suggest an alternative? Maybe a key-value store? In this case, which one? Any other thoughts?

Now I've cleaned all the viruses using Kaspersky but I believe the changes it did to the registry/policies are still there. I'm not able to have write access on the entire file system.   I have a HP laptop. I upgraded to windows 7 ultimate from home basic. Now I'm trying to upgrade to Windows 8 but when I do I get a message saying not enough system partition. So I opened the disk manager and increased the size of system reserved partition and it was of no use I still got the same error. Then I unfortunately deleted the 100MB system reserved partition by right clicking it and clicking format in the disk manager! Now I am not able to boot any CD's from the startup including OS and recovery CD. Whenever I press esc it always goes to the login screen and it doesn't say anything about the boot from CD option. Now I could not even use my recovery CD. I have 3 questions: Is it necesseary to create a system reserved partition if so how to create it? How to use my recovery cd How to install win 8
