    Hello, I am using Castle.Windsor as an IOC. So I am trying to resolve a service type in the constructor of an HTTPHandler. I keep receiving this error, "Constructor on type: "Namespace.type" not found." My configuration has the following entries for service type: IDocumentDirectory <component id="restricted.content.directory" service="org.healthwise.foundations.services.content.IDocumentDirectory, org.healthwise.foundations.services" type="org.healthwise.foundations.services.content.RestrictedLocalizationDocumentDirectory, org.healthwise.foundations.services"> <parameters> <contentDirectory>${content.directory}</contentDirectory> <localizations> <array> <item>en-us</item> <item>es-us</item> </array> </localizations> </parameters> </component> <component id="content.directory" service="org.healthwise.foundations.services.content.IDocumentDirectory, org.healthwise.foundations.services" type="org.healthwise.foundations.services.web.client.WebServiceDocumentDirectory, org.healthwise.foundations.services.web.client"> <parameters> <webServiceURL>#{contentDirectoryWebsiteUrl}</webServiceURL> </parameters> </component> In my new handler the constructor looks like this: public HeartBeatHttpHandler(IDocumentDirectory contentDirectory) { _contentDirectory = contentDirectory; } I have never recieved this error using Castle.Windsor.   • Vista seems to prevent .net from reading/updating file attributes.

    Hello everyone! The following function copies a file from Source & Path to Dest & Path, normally setting file attributes to normal before copying. Yet, a user of my app has reported it to fail when copying readonly files, returning a permissions-related error. The user is however running the code as administrator, and the error happens - quite strangely - on the SetLastWriteTimeUtc line. Although the code reports that the file attributes are set to normal, windows explorer shows that they are set to read only.   • How do I fix a corrupted harddrive after failed upgrade?

    The problem originated when I was trying to fix this problem. Things went horribly, horribly wrong and I ended up with a new problem altogether. The last thing I did was run sudo apt-get install and that caused my system to freeze. I restarted my computer and it would not boot from the harddrive. I ran a copy of Ubuntu 12.10 from a flashdrive that I had and ran gparted to see if my partitions were all there. It returned this message: Invalid partition table on /dev/sda -- wrong signature 5208. The drive appeared as a 2TiB unallocated drive with an error. The drive had 4 partitions before (plus random unallocated space). There was a fat32 partition, an ext4 partition which contained ubuntu 13.04/13.10 (I don't even know which one at this point), an extended partition which contained a swap partition for my ubuntu partition (I was meaning to move that ubuntu partition into the extended partition, never got around to it), and another partition (I don't remember how I formatted it). I should also mention this is a 1TB harddrive. So in short, I have a corrupted partition table on my primary harddrive from which I boot from, how can I fix this?     How do I get this code to work? When I run the whole program I think it just exits because it never returns true.     I've recently learned how to let ack support more filetypes (adding the following to .ackrc): --type-add latte=.latte Unfortunately, that produces an info line on every ack search I use, even ones with 0 results. $ ack --latte dump ack: --type-add: Type "latte" does not exist, creating with ".latte" ... Is there a way to make this a more permanent addition? (i.e. get rid of this info line) This looks to me like it's adding this new type on every ack call. Is it a problem with my installation of ack? I'm on Mac OS X 10.5.8 with ack 1.92 (Running under Perl 5.10.1)

    I need a solution to store images (1 billion) which users will upload to a website via PHP or Javascript upload (website will have 1 billion page views a month using Linux Debian distros) assuming 20 photos per user maximum (10 thumbnails of size 90px by 90px and 10 large, script resized images of having maximum width 500px or maximum height 500px depending on shape of image, meaning square, rectangle, horizontal, vertical etc). Assume this to be a LEMP-stack (Linux Nginx MySQL PHP) social-media or social-matchmaking type application whose content will be text and images. Since everyone knows storing tons of images (website users uploaded images in this case) are bad inside a single directory or NFS etc, please explain all the details about the architecture and configuration of the entire setup of storage solution, to store 1 billion images on any method you recommend (no third-party cloud storage like S3 etc. It has to be within the private data center using our own hardware and resources.). The solution has to include both the storage solution and organizing the images uploaded by users. How will we organize the users images if a single user will not have more than 20 images (10 thumbs and 10 large of having either width or height 500px)? Please consider that this has to be organized in a structural way so we can fetch a single user's images via PHP/Javascript or API programmatically through some type of user's unique identifier(s).

    I want to encrypt an INI file using a Delphi program on a Windows PC. Then I need to decrypt & access it in C on an embedded system with little RAM. I will do that once & fetch all info; I will not be consutinuously accessing the INI file whenever my program needs data from the file. Any advice as to which encryption to use? Nothing too heavyweight, just good enough for "Security through obscurity" and FOSS for both Delphi & C. And how can I decrypt, get all the info from the INI file - using as little RAM as possible, and then free any allocated RAM? I hope that someone can help. [Update] I am currently using an Atmel UC3, although I am not sure if that will be the final case. It has 512kB falsh & 128kB RAM. For an INI file, I am talking of max 8 sections, with a total of max 256 entries, each max 8 chars. I chose INI (but am not married to it), because i have had major problems in the past when the format of a data fiel changes, no matter whether binary, or text. For tex, I prefer the free format of INI (on PC), but suppose I could switch to line_1=data_1, line_2=data_2 and accept that if I add new fields in future software erleases they must come at the end, even if it is not pretty when read directly by humans. I suppose if I choose a fixed format text file then I never need get more than one line into RAM at a time ...

I need to write one that copies a file to a new folder and renames it At the moment, my batch file consists of only this command: COPY ABC.PDF \\Documents As you can see, it only copies the file ABC.pdf to the network folder 'Documents'. However i need to change this so it renames the file ABCxxx.pdf, where xxx is a text variable that i would like to set somewhere in the batch file. For example, if xxx = "_Draft", then file would be renamed ABC_Draft.pdf after it is copied. Thanks

    Hi, I'm attempting to do info validation against user text input in the process of keydown event. The reason that I am trying to validate in the keydown event is because I do not want to display the characters those that are considered to be illegal in the input box at the beginning. The validation I am writing is like this, function validateUserInput(){ var code = this.event.keyCode; if ((code<48||code>57) // numerical &&code!==46 //delete &&code!==8 //back space &&code!==37 // <- arrow &&code!==39) // -> arrow { this.event.preventDefault(); } } I can keep going like this, however I am seeing drawbacks on this implmentation. Those are, for example, Conditional statement become longer and longer when I put more conditions to be examined. keyCodes can be different by browsers. I have to not only check what is not legal but also have to check what are exceptionals. In above examples, delete,backspace, and arrow keys are exceptionals. But the feature that I don't want to lose is having not to display the input in the textarea unless it passes the validation. (In case the user try to put illegal characters in the textarea, nothing should appear at all) That is why I am not doing validation upon keyup event. So my question is, Are there better ways to validate input in keydown event than checking keyCode by keyCode? Are there other ways to capture the user inputs other than keydown event before browser displays it? And a way to put the validation on it? Thanks for the help in advance.

    I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 onto my HP Pavilion, in an attempt to make the desktop able to dual-boot Windows 7 and Ubuntu. I managed to get down to the last step, and finished the installation process. After it prompted me to remove what I used to install Ubuntu, I did so, removing my SanDisk 8GB flash drive, and allowed the system to reboot. Like usual, the desktop booted with the HP image, with the options at the bottom(Boot Menu, System Recovery, etc). However, when it should have started up with Ubuntu(like I'm certain it should have done), I received the following error: Input signal out of range Change settings to 1600 x 900 From the time I installed the operating system, back in late August, till now, I've been trying to figure out how I would go about fixing this issue. My mom is also starting to get frustrated with my not having resolved the issue, as its the only desktop that has a printer installed. Is there any possible way to resolve this? To summarize the problem: -Successful boot -Screen brings up error -Screen goes to standby -Nothing else possible until desktop is rebooted, which will initiate the above three steps A few notes: -I did not back up my computer before I installed Ubuntu. I didn't have anything to write to, and basically just forgot to. : -I don't have a Recovery Disk. -I don't have the Windows 7 disk that is supposed to come with the computer. -It has been narrowed down by a friend on Skype that the problem lies with the display, and that the vga= boot command does have something to do with fixing the problem Thank you in advance for resolving this problem.   • best practices question: How to save a collection of images and a java object in a single file? File

    Hi all, I am making a java program that has a collection of flash-card like objects. I store the objects in a jtree composed of defaultmutabletreenodes. Each node has a user object attached to it with has a few string/native data type parameters. However, i also want each of these objects to have an image (typical formats, jpg, png etc). I would like to be able to store all of this information, including the images and the tree data to the disk in a single file so the file can be transferred between users and the entire tree, including the images and parameters for each object, can be reconstructed. I had not approached a problem like this before so I was not sure what the best practices were. I found XLMEncoder (http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/beans/XMLEncoder.html) to be a very effective way of storing my tree and the native data type information. However I couldn't figure out how to save the image data itself inside of the XML file, and I'm not sure it is possible since the data is binary (so restricted characters would be invalid). My next thought was to associate a hash string instead of an image within each user object, and then gzip together all of the images, with the hash strings as the names and the XMLencoded tree in the same compmressed file. That seemed really contrived though. Does anyone know a good approach for this type of issue? THanks! Thanks!

Date picker (OMG, I can't stand picking date with it. Too many clicks required) 3 Dropdown lists. Day, Month, Year.   • Pygame program that can get keyboard input with caps

    I have a Pygame program that needs text input. The way it does this is to get keyboard input and when a key is pressed it renders that key so it is added to the screen. Essentially it acts like a text field. The problem is, when you hold shift it doesn't do anything. I relize this is because the program ignores shift input and instead writes the text if it's number is under 128. I have thought of setting a variable when shift is pressed then capitalizing if it was true, but string capitalization only woks on letters, not things like numbers or semicolons. Is there maybe a number I can add to the ascii number typed to modify it if shift is pressed, or something else?
