    Hi all! I have a problem selecting a checked radio button with jquery. The radio buttons are generated by a function from a MVC that i'd rather not change and its name is like id[number]. Simply put, I have to check if any of these buttons are checked: <input type="radio" name="id[1]" value="1"/ <input type="radio" name="id[1]" value="2"/ The problem is that jQuery('input:radio[name=id[1]]:checked').val() will select some function from the jQuery library. Any help will be much appreciated.

  • C# "Could not find a part of the path" - Creating Local File

    I am trying to write to a folder that is located on my C:\ drive. I keep getting the error of : Could not find a part of the path .. etc My filepath looks basically like this : C:\WebRoot\ManagedFiles\folder\thumbs\5c27a312-343e-4bdf-b294-0d599330c42d\Image\lighthouse.jpg And I am writing to it like so : using (MemoryStream memoryStream = new MemoryStream()) { thumbImage.Save(memoryStream, ImageFormat.Jpeg); using (FileStream diskCacheStream = new FileStream(cachePath, FileMode.CreateNew)) { memoryStream.WriteTo(diskCacheStream); } memoryStream.WriteTo(context.Response.OutputStream); } Don't worry too much about the memory stream. It is just outputting it (After I save it). Since I am creating a file, I am a bit perplexed as to why it cannot find the file (Shouldn't it just write to where I tell it to, regardless?). The strange thing is, It has no issue when I'm testing it above using File.Exists. Obviously that is returning false, But it means that atleast my Filepath is semi legit. Any help is much appreciated.

    Hey Guys, I'm new to jQuery and have an annoying problem. I have some login fields that are filled with default text when the field is empty and then removed when clicked.     So, I can create an input button with an image using <INPUT type="image" src="/images/Btn.PNG" value=""> But, I can't get the same behavior using CSS. for instance, i've tried <INPUT type="image" class="myButton" value=""> where "myButton" is defined in the css file as .myButton{ background:url(/images/Btn.PNG) no-repeat; cursor:pointer; width: 200px; height: 100px; border: none; } If that's all I wanted to do, I could use the original style, but I want to change the button's appearance on hover (using a myButton:hover class). I know the links are good because I've been able to load them for a background image for other parts of the page (just as a check). I found examples on the web of how to do it using javascript, but I'm looking for a css solution. I'm using Firefox 3.0.3 if that makes a difference. Thanks

    Im trying to do a simple game where I continually need input from players. This needs to happen during a certain time period only. Everything that is sent after that will be discarded. After the time period a new game starts. So: Start game Wait for input from all players during 10 seconds 10 secs no more input Calculate the winner and do some stuff Goto 1. I was thinking using a timer and timertask to keep track of time and maybe use a boolean variable that changes from "open" to "closed" after 10 seconds? Please give me some advise on this.

    I'm creating a custom DataSet and I'm under some constrains: I want the user to specify the type of the data which they want to store. I want to reduce type-casting because I think it will be VERY expensive. I will use the data VERY frequently in my application. I don't know what type of data will be stored in the DataSet, so my initial idea was to make it a List of objects, but I suspect that the frequent use of the data and the need to type-cast will be very expensive. I want to eliminate type-casting as much as possible, since I can't afford to cast from 'object' to whatever data type is needed on every read. I've seen applications that allow the user to pick the specific data type for each item in the csv file, so I'm trying to make a similar solution where a different type can be specified for each column. I want to create a generic solution so I don't have to return a List<object> but a List<DateTime> (if it's a DateTime column) or List<double> (if it's a column of doubles). Is there any way that this can be achieved? Perhaps my approach is wrong, is there a better approach to this problem?

  • No such file but the file is there!

    I'm trying to compile a C++ file with some includes. My main file (well I didn't make it hdf5_getters includes a file which includes the file hdf5.h, also not my design but it's a downloaded library. Every time I try to compile it I get the error message that the file hdf5.h does not exist while it clearly does. I started reading on the internet and people say it can happen because it's a 32bit binary running on a 64bit architecture. But I'm running a 32bit Ubuntu so that can't be it...   • move carat to the end of a text input field AND make the end visible

    I'm going insane. I have an autosuggest box where users choose a suggestion. On the next suggestion selection the value of the text input box exceeds its size. I can move the carat to the end of the input field crossbrowser, no problem. But on Chrome and Safari I cannot SEE the carat at the end. The end of the text is not visible.     After running chkdsk C: /F /R and finding out that my hard disk has 24 KB in bad sectors (log is posted below), I decided to run Windows 7's System File Checker utility (sfc /scannow). SFC showed the ff. message after I ran it: "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log." Since the CBS.log file is too large, I ran findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt" (as per Microsoft's KB 928228 article) to only get the log text pertaining to the corrupt files.     Hi I'm trying to create an object Of a specific type. I've got the following code, but it fails because it can't cast the new table object to the one that is already defined. I need table to start of an IEnumerable type so I can't declare is an object. Public sub getTable(ByVal t as Type) Dim table As Table(Of Object) Dim tableType As Type = GetType(Table(Of )).MakeGenericType(t) table = FormatterServices.GetUninitializedObject(tableType) End sub So in short - is there a way of changing a variable type at runtime?     I am getting still over and over again this error, the column age has the type integer, I am saving into this column integer-value, I also tried to don't save nothing into this column, but still getting this error... Could anyone help me, how to fix that?     I want to create a specific generic method in Scala. It takes two parameters. The first is of the type of a generic Java Interface (it's from the JPA criteria query). It currently looks like this: def genericFind(attribute:SingularAttribute[Person, _], value:Object) { ... } // The Java Interface which is the type of the first parameter in my find-method: public interface SingularAttribute<X, T> extends Attribute<X, T>, Bindable<T> Now i want to achieve the following: value is currently of type java.lang.Object. But I want to make it more specific. Value has to be the of the same type as the placeholder "_" from the first parameter (and so represents the "T" in the Java interface). Is that somehow possible, and how? BTW Sorry for the stupid question title (any suggestions?)

  • Display custom file format's metadata in Windows Explorer

    When viewing a jpg or mp3 in Windows Explorer, the bottom pane shows metadata from the media file. Furthermore, for video and picture, the icon is shown as a preview of the media. Is there a way to add this kind of functionality to windows for custom file types that aren't supported by default in windows? Is there a certain sort of plugin or extension that must be written? If so, how is it implemented? Thank you.
