• Disk drive disappear in Windows Explorer

  OS: WinXP SP3 When pressing win+E or open Windows Explorer, under My Computer, usually there are several disk drives. But somehow they just disappeared. If I type c:\ in address bar, then the disk will re-appear in the tree though. How to get them back? Thanks.

Now it's possible that if I left it overnight it would finally figure out how to progress, but are there any other programs with similar functionality I could use instead?

  Is it possible to have an erroneous URL remain in the address bar while redirecting the user to a URL within my domain? I want www.domain.com/forum to be the actual site being served in all 404 circumstances but I don't want the referring URL to be rewritten (other than the domain portion, which is being done on the registrar level).   I have a few extensions next to my URL bar in chrome on windows 7. When I press any of them, or even the bookmark star, the text box that pops up is clear. I am using the following extensions: ablock plus, googleTranslate, firebugLite, ghostery, avastWebRep, Ultimate UserAgent switcher, Web developer toolbar, desprotetor de links, DNT plus, and WOT. I am set to block popups but not javascript in chrome and have a blackout theme installed. any ideas?

  In Outlook 2007, when in Calendar view, there's a category (group) of calendars on the left hand bar titled "People's Calendars". We're migrating from a system where all employees have access to read and write to all other employees' calendars (via a 3rd party Web Calendar). Is it possible, from an admin level, to auto-populate this People's Calendars category in everyone's Outlook with all the employees in the company, and grant everyone read / write access to everyone else's calendars?   Does anyone know how to tell windows 7 to bar a wireless network? It keeps logging into a random open one with no bandwidth my neighbors have instead of the good one we have here. I keep unchecking "automatically log in if available" and it keeps re-checking itself. I want it to NEVER log into this network no matter what without manual intervention. I do not want to disable auto connecting, just tell it "do not ever connect to this one without my express permission".

• Windows explorer doesn't open My Documents, Music or anything when clicking the library?

  I recently installed Windows 7, and for some reason my Libraries don't open to My Documents, Music and so on.. I can access my files by typing into the explorers address bar, but clicking anything doesn't do anything, it just stays on the same screen. What's wrong? Since this is occurring on a relatively new install, I currently have 259GB free out of 297GB on my HD. The My Documents folder only has about 500 mb of Data.

  In my address bar, on the left of the star, there is an option Snapback: [Empty] for every site. I haven't seen this before and I don't have the Snapback plugin. Doesn't anyone know where it may have come from and what it does? I recently upgraded to 3.5.6 on Ubuntu, and may have had some plugins upgraded, but not sure which. I have a ridiculous number of plugins on this comp otherwise I could just try disabling them one at a time.

• Permanently hide network disconnected icon from system tray

  On Windows XP, I have a disconnected Wireless connection which shows up in the System Tray. I have gone into Network Connections dialog box and elected not to show an icon when it is disconnected, yet it remains visible. I have gone into the Task bar properties and elected to always hide this icon, but that doesn't remove it from the system tray. How do I remove it? Thanks

Now, we would like to host bar.foo.com at some other provider B - they have the domain set up with them, so I figure that I can do this by somehow adding the nameserver at provider B to the DNS configuration at provider A. • Screen is greyed out after power failure shutdown: Mac OSX

  When the battery power is down and the unit not plugged in the computer is forced into a sleep mode requiring pushing the start button when power is re-connected. The initial desktop screen appears to be greyed out and is unresponsive with a timer bar which, when the timing sequence is complete restores an active desktop. I can't find any reference to this phenomenon in the OSX literature I have. Any pointers to where I can get more information? Perhaps I am using the wrong search criteria?

  So I'm a dual-booter. I'm looking for an easy way to keep up-to-date symlinks in my Linux home folder pointing to every file and folder in the root of Windows personal directory. So, say I have foo.txt and bar.txt in C:\Windows\Documents and Settings\Nathaniel. I want symlinks of those files to automatically be made in /home/nathaniel/ (while I'm running Linux, of course).

This is the correct display (command running from root: kdesudo ksysguard): This is the incorrect display (command: ksysguard): Here in the incorrect display, the menu bar is missing, and the tab "Process Table" is unclickable. I have already tried to remove the directory ~/.kde/share/apps/ksysguard/ but to no avail. My question: How do I restore KSysGuard back to factory defaults/normal functionality?
