  Hi everyone, even though it is possible to write generic code in C using void pointer(generic pointer), I find that it is quite difficult to debug the code since void pointer can take any pointer type without warning from compiler. (e.g function foo() take void pointer which is supposed to be pointer to struct, but compiler won't complain if char array is passed.) What kind of approach/strategy do you all use when using void pointer in C?

  What are my best options for creating a financial open-high-low-close (OHLC) chart in a high level language like Ruby or Python? While there seem to be a lot of options for graphing, I haven't seen any gems or eggs with this kind of chart. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open-high-low-close_chart (but I don't need the moving average or Bollinger bands) JFreeChart can do this in Java, but I'd like to make my codebase as small and simple as possible. And then I use UIImageJPEGRepresentation(image,0.0) to get the NSData of that image. Still its a little bit high in size around 100kb. when I send it over the network. Can I reduce it further. I managed to get it to build to the device by removing a few .asm files and test.cpp but two issues: 1) the simulator gets build errors relating to: {standard input}:13583:suffix or operands invalid for `call' 2) there are hundreds of warnings (kind of annoying) Has anyone gotten crypto++ to work on iphone and found a way to resolve these issues?

  I'm using objcopy on bash (ubuntu linux) and im trying to copy 2 sections from an ELF file using the folowing commend: objcopy -j .section1 -j .section2 The problem is the objcopy is adding some padding between the sections. Is there a way (a flag?) that can stop objcopy from padding the sections? the sections are placed one after the other in the file so there is no need for any kind of padding....
