    I need a regular expression with the following needs: the string is alphanumeric and have exactly 6 characters in the first half followed by hyphen(optional) followed by optional 4 characters:(cannot have more than 4 characters in the second half) so any of the following is valid 11111A 111111-1 111111-yy yyyyy-989 yyyyyy-9090 i thought this expression /[a-zA-Z0-9]([-])?[a-zA-Z0-9]{5,10}$/; should work but i m unable to get it working correctly. Any help will be appreciated,

  • Typedef in C# across several source files

    I am writing a C wrapper an would like to use a typedef aquivalent to define some types which should be valid in quite a lot of source files. Those "types" are just different aliases to [u]int16/32/64_t, but are useful to distinguish function parameters. One could use using MyId=System.Int32;, but this needs to be redeclared in every file as far as I see... Is there a better way?

  • Iterating through struct fieldnames in MATLAB.

    My question is easily summarized as: "Why does the following not work?" teststruct = struct('a',3,'b',5,'c',9) fields = fieldnames(teststruct) for i=1:numel(fns) fns(i) teststruct.(fns(i)) end output: ans = 'a' ??? Argument to dynamic structure reference must evaluate to a valid field name. Especially since teststruct.('a') does work. And fns(i) prints out ans = 'a'. I can't get my head around it.

    Our system uses a lot of large Bitmaps (System.Drawing.Bitmap) and sometimes we run out of memory and gets a "Parameter is not valid" error. This makes sense, since it can be difficult to allocate large continuous chunk of memory. So the question is... If we upgraded the system to 64bit, would this problem go away?

  • Android AudioRecorder object wont read from microphone.

    I'm trying to build a voip application on a new android device, i use AudioRecorder to read the microphone but I'm getting no valid results, just white noise. This happen only on this new device(other work well) and this is probably because this device has PTT ability. The problem I have is that whenever I re-compile my application it changes the folder to which the application is installed. Is there any way I can specify which folder it should build to, so that any path information stored during it's last run will still be valid?

If I comment out a line of code that sets the images for the context menu entries then it stops throwing the exception. Any ideas?

    Im saving an object model out to XML but when i load it back in I get exceptions when trying to use PropertyInfo.SetValue() because the property doesn't have a setter just a getter. My byte sequence is a valid UTF-8 character in Korean, why would it be producing two very different results?
