• webview.loadUrl() problem in android?

  Hi guys, I am loading a URL whose datatype is String in a WebView. Using something like: webview.loadUrl(string_variable); but it is automatically redirected to the browser.   I'm retrieving values from database to table in jsp.(to a column) I want to insert that value into another table in database. To do that i'm using another jsp table to insert that value in db and i call that jsp page in my previous jsp's page form action tab. I use request.getParameter() method to get the values in my first jsp page to new jsp page.but i couldnt get that values using request.getParameter(). How can i solve this

• Show PDF in iPad using CGPDF APIs

  I have learned Apple has release CGPDF APIs in SDK 3.2 for drawing PDF context. What I understand from these APIs is that you can draw a PDF to a data object or a PDF file. You can then export it, may be, to your sandbox's directory OR add as an attachment in the mail. But I am not sure if we can use these APIs to read a PDF from application bundle and show it to the user page-by-page on the screen. What I want to do is open a PDF of a magazine in a magazine reader app. I was also wondering if we can identify the links in a PDF file and open them in the app. Let me know if have done OR doing anything like this. I create simple C++ CDT project with main.cpp file: cout << "OK" << endl; and build it.   Following a MSDN web page, I am trying to manually run mstest within my tfsbuild.proj and put the results into the pass/fail logic so the build will fail if this particular test fails. It's kind of like running a FxCop or something else from CMD and capturing a "0" or "1" and force-fail the build.   So I would like to move my Storyboards into a ResourceDictionary file and I am having trouble doing that. I have looked everywhere and it involves making the "Resource" sharable but how do I do that in silverlight when there is no x:Shared attribute.   Any suggestions would be great. I've inherited a system and have been requested to add a context menu item to allow the ability to add a new item. I've set up the context menu with the new option and the newform.aspx to accept and pull parameters from the url for populating some fields.   I am building an iPhone app that plays videos on demand from a web service. The videos play in an MPMoviePlayerController, and everything works fine on the iPhone device. However, when one loads up the iPhone application on an iPad, the videos play Portrait mode (with letterboxing on the top and bottom), instead of Landscape Left like they do on the iPhone. At first the videos were not appearing at all, however I fixed this by adding the MPMoviePlayerControllers view to the view that is creating it, as a subview, and then set it to play fullscreen. -- Edit To Original: I now have it playing on the iPad in all rotations. Is there any way to stop it rotating, and just have it play LandscapeLeft? Thanks, Dwaine

The best solution so far seems to be NPOI, this can create excel files without installing excel on the server, and has a nice API simillar to the excel interop. However i can't find a way to dump an entire datatable in excel similar to CopyFromRecordset Any tips on how to do that , or a better solution than NPOI ?

  Is there any way to Linkify a specific TextView that is contained within a ListView? I tried using android:autoLink="all" but that didn't work. I was getting an out of context error. Important also to note: the ListView is my second view in the ViewFlipper. I have also tried: TextView infoText = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.rowText2); Linkify.addLinks(infoText, Linkify.ALL); Right after the adapter was bound to the ListView and the View was switched. No luck. Any Ideas? Thanks in advance!!!

I have a service that provides me all my DropDownLists, either from Cache or from the DomainService. They are presented as IEnumerable, and are requested from the a repository with GetLookup(LookupId). I have created a custom attribute that I have decorated my MetaDataClass that looks something like this: [Lookup(Lookup.Products)] public Guid ProductId I have created a custom Data Form that is set to AutoGenerateFields and I am intercepting the autogenerate fields. I am checking for my CustomAttribute and that works. • How Do I make my own keyboard for an app in android

  I am currently working on an app, that requires a keyboard in a different language (Specifically Hebrew), the problem is, that I don't know where to begin. I don't want the user to have to go onto an app store, and install a separate app that has more languages in it just to use my app, and, I only want the keyboard to be available in my app, ie, it shouldn't effect anything outside my specific app. the way I am doing it right now, is to create it as part of the main layout, and just make it visible whenever the user clicks on the Edit Text. the problem with this, is I can't get the size of it to readjust. I had originally tried using 2 different layouts (one in the res/layout folder, and one in the res/layout-lnd folder), but this caused different problems in my app, making it slower. so I am wondering 2 things, either of which should work. one: how would I create the layout for the keyboard to readjust. or Two: how would I make a keyboard correctly. here is the xml code that I am useing • Use android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1 with a light theme

  I have learned that when using android:entries with a ListView, it uses android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1 as the layout for a list item and android.R.id.text1 as the ID of the TextView inside that layout. Please, correct me if I'm wrong. Knowing this, I wanted to create my own adapter but use the same layout resources, in order to provide UI consistency with the platform. Thus, I tried the following: mAdapter = new SimpleCursorAdapter( getApplicationContext(), android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1, mSites, new String[] { SitesDatabase.KEY_SITE }, new int[] { android.R.id.text1 } ); Unfortunately, because I am using a light theme (I have android:theme="@android:style/Theme.Light" in my <application>), the list items appear with white text, making them unreadable. However, when using android:entries to specify a static list of items, the items appear correctly, with black text color. What am I doing wrong? How can I make my dynamic adapter use the standard layout but work with a light theme?
