    Hello! In MS Exam 70-536 .Net Foundation, Chapter 3 "Searching, Modifying, and Encoding Text" in Case Scenario 1 related to regex there is a question: How can you constrain the input before you write any code? I thought it's maybe a in-mind design of regex pattern but it will not really constrain the input, will it? I am not so good in psychokinesis yet! Or maybe the is some other way?   • why IEEE floating point number calculate exponent using a biased form?

    let's say, for the float type in c, according to the IEEE floating point specification, there are 8-bit used for the fraction filed, and it is calculated as first taken these 8-bit and translated it into an unsigned number, and then minus the BIASE, which is 2^7 - 1 = 127, and the result is an exponent ranges from -127 to 128, inclusive. But why can't we just treat these 8-bit pattern as a signed number, since the resulting range is [-128,127], which is almost the same as the previous one.

    Hello, I have a problem and I want to implement the MVC pattern to my QT application, that's why I need for example to inherite in my QTableWidget about another class like myClass { myMethod(); } but our QTableWidget is contained by our Mainwidows that is designed by the QT designer and generate an ui_MainWindow class ! Do you know how to do that ? Is that a method inside the Qt Designer to do that ? or another method ? Thank you for your answer !

    I'd like to decorate a function, using a pattern like this: def deco(func): def wrap(*a,**kw): print "do something" return func(*a,**kw) return wrap The problem is that if the function decorated has a prototype like that: def function(a,b,c): return When decorated, the prototype is destroyed by the varargs, for example, calling function(1,2,3,4) wouldn't result in an exception. Is that a way to avoid that? How can define the wrap function with the same prototype as the decorated (func) one? There's something conceptually wrong?

    I am using this pattern and matching a string. String s = "//name:value /name:value"; if (s.matches("(//?\\s*\\w+:\\w+\\s*)+")) { // it fits } This works properly. But if I want to have a string like "/name-or-address:value/name-or-address:value" which has this '-' in second part, it doesn't work. I am using \w to match A-Za-z_, but how can I include - in that?

At this point I'm mostly curious about how the files should be arranged into directories so that development of the website can be manageable.     Is there any way to write a using statement without instantiating the IDisposable immediately? For example, if I needed to do something like: using (MyThing thing) { if (_config == null) { thing = new MyThing(); } else { thing = new MyThing(_config); } // do some stuff } // end of 'using' Is there an accepted pattern for cases like this? Or am I back to handling the IDisposable explicitly again?
