Essentially, I have to get the GID, of table 1 using info1, GID of table to , by mapping info2 and GID of table 1. And then get the GID of table 3 using info 3. And combine these to GIDs to get the value in table 4. What is the most optimal way of constructing an sql query for this one?

  Right now I have a window with horizontal ad vertical scrollbars. I use these parameters to initialize it. //Set OGL Frame scroll bar SCROLLINFO inf; inf.cbSize = sizeof(SCROLLINFO); inf.fMask = SIF_PAGE | SIF_POS; inf.nPage = 20; inf.nPos = 30; It creates them in the center and I like their size, but when I scroll I multiply by 50 which creates chopiness. How could I add more resolution to the bars and still keep the same thumb size. Is there a way I can calculate the size and position of the bar based on the above parameters? Thanks

  I am working on a factorisation problem and for small numbers it is working well. I've been able to calculate the factors (getting the answers from Wolfram Alpha) for small numbers, like the one on the Wikipedia page (5959). Along with the Wikipedia page I have been following this guide. Once again, as my Math knowledge is pretty poor I cannot follow what I need to do next. EDIT: It finally works! I'll post the working code up here once I've got it fully working so that others in my predicament can learn from it.

I also have a Workflow object. Page and Region objects both have a relationship to Workflow and it's this double association that I'm having trouble with. The PageMap has HasMany(Function(x) x.Regions).Cascade.All() And the RegionMap has: References(Function(x) x.Page) And this all seems to work. But how do I define the relationship between Workflow and these two objects?

  Using VB6, I need to load a bitmap image and subsequently manipulate some of its data - specifically, I want to rotate a section within the image, and in the end keep the image intact with the rotated section. How do I (1) find out where an image gets loaded into memory (a physical address), and (2) in what format is it stored, a 1-D array, 2-D array, or what? This all works as expected, nothing complicated. However, we want to disable the checkboxes as soon as one is checked to prevent a double submit i.e. check box checked, all checkboxes are disabled via client side javascript, form submitted.   Im using OSX and having trouble getting a cron job to run. I type the following: $ sudo -i $ crontab -e I then enter: * * * * * root ifconfig en0 down > /dev/null 0 19 * * * root ifconfig en0 down > /dev/null 0 7 * * * root ifconfig en0 up > /dev/null and no success, the first line is for testing. I want it to shut off my internet. The next two lines I plan to leave in, once I get this working. If I type this in to the terminal the internet goes off ifconfig en0 down Why is my cron job not shutting down the internet? FYI: This is a follow up question from http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3027362/how-can-i-write-a-cron-job-that-will-block-my-internet-from-7pm-to-7am-so-i-can most of the comments there are people making fun of me.   I once read an article on how to properly write event handlers for multi-threading in Java, but I can't for the life of me find it anymore. It described the pitfalls and potentials for deadlocks that can occur when firing events (not Swing events mind you, but general events like model update notifications). To clarify, the situation would be as such: // let's say this is code from an MVC model somewhere public void setSomeProperty(String myProperty){ if(!this.myProperty.equals(myProperty)){ this.myProperty = myProperty; fireMyPropertyChangedEvent(...); } } The article described how passing control to arbitrary external listener code was a potential cause for deadlock. I now find myself in a situation where I need to fire such events in a multithreaded environment and I would very much like to read the article again to see what it has to say before I continue. Does anyone know the article I'm referring to? I believe it came as a (fairly short) PDF. It started off with an initial naive implementation and incrementally pointed out flaws and improved upon it. It ended with a sort of final proper-way-to-fire-multithreaded-events. I've searched endlessly in my browse history and on google, but all I could find were endless amounts topics on Swing event dispatch threads. Thank you.

• WP7 help with menu effects

  Kinda new to Silverlight and have some experience with WPF but I'm doing a project with a group for a class making a game for WP7. I am currently in charge of the menu system for the game and I had a few ideas for "flashy" menu transitions. I got some going for the main menu but I wanted to do something cool for the options submenu. Anyway my idea is to either fashion an expander or to have sort of a variation of a dialog box. But the way I envisioned it would be in either case the menu items blur but are still visible while the expanded menu is displayed or while the dialog is active. If I'm being confusing sorry :) but think of Windows 7 glass effect on the menu while other options are available. What I'm getting at is I want to give this a shot but I have no idea how I would go about doing something like this. Could anyone point me in the right direction or outline some key steps for me to build off? I tried finding something like this on Google but no such luck.
