    I want to check whether the endpoint is defined in the configuration before I'll try to create it System.ServiceModel.ClientBase<T> sourceClient = new System.ServiceModel.ClientBase<T>(EndpointName, new EndpointAddress(discoveryUri)); To check it I need get a configuration but how can I define whether I need to use WebConfigurationManager or ConfigurationManager. Is there any way to define where a WCF service is hosted?

  • Displaying fancy routes in cloudmade based service

    I look for a way to display a route in a fancy way using the Cloudmade service. Currently, I can see computed routes like on this tutorial http://developers.cloudmade.com/projects/web-maps-lite/examples/routing, but I look for a fancier way to do it -- without A and B tags, and with colors, etc. Is this possible ?     When you create and use a Web Service proxy class in the ASP.Net framework, the class ultimately inherits from Component, which implements IDisposable. I have never seen one example online where people dispose of a web proxy class, but was wondering if it really needs to be done. When I call only one method, I normally wrap it in a using statement, but if I have a need to call it several times throughout the page, I might end up using the same instance, and just wondered what the ramifications are of not disposing it.

  • Rolling back a transaction in a Grails Service

    I have been updating all my services to be transactional by using Grail's ability to rollback when a RuntimeException is thrown in the service. I have, in most cases, doing this: def domain = new Domain(field: field) if (!domain.save()) { throw new RuntimeException() } Anyways, I wanted to verify that this indeed will rollback the transaction... it got me thinking as to whether at this point it's already been committed.. Also, if not, would setting flush:true change that? I am not very familiar with how Spring/Hibernate does all of this :)

  • Getting 404 when attempting to POST file to Google Cloud Storage from service account

    I'm wondering if anyone can tell me the proper syntax & formatting for a service account to send a POST Object to bucket request? I'm attempting it programmatically using the HttpComponents library. I manage to get a token from my GoogleCredential, but every time I construct the POST request, I get: HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?><Error><Code>AccessDenied</Code><Message>Access denied.</Message><Detailsbucket-name</Details></Error The Google documentation that describes the request methods, mentions posting using html forms, but I'm hoping that wasn't suggesting the ONLY way to get the job done. I know that HttpComponents has a way to explicitly create form data by using UrlEncodedFormEntity, but it doesn't support multipart data. Which is why I went with using the MultipartEntity class. My code is below: MultipartEntity entity = new MultipartEntity( HttpMultipartMode.BROWSER_COMPATIBLE ); String token = credential.getAccessToken(); entity.addPart("Authorization", new StringBody("OAuth " + token)); String date = formatDate(new Date()); entity.addPart("Date", new StringBody(date)); entity.addPart("Content-Encoding", new StringBody("UTF-8")); entity.addPart("Content-Type", new StringBody("multipart/form-data")); entity.addPart("bucket", new StringBody(bucket)); entity.addPart("key", new StringBody("fileName")); entity.addPart("success_action_redirect", new StringBody("/storage")); File uploadFile = new File("pathToFile"); FileBody fileBody = new FileBody(uploadFile, "text/xml"); entity.addPart("file", fileBody); httppost.setEntity(entity); System.out.println("Posting URI = "+httppost.toString()); HttpResponse response = client.execute(httppost); HttpEntity resp_entity = response.getEntity(); As I mentioned, I am able to get an actual token, so I'm pretty sure the problem is in how I've formed the request as opposed to not being properly authenticated.     i am writing a program to test WCF service performance in high concurrency circumstance. On client side, i start many threads to call a WCF service function which returns a long list of data object. On server side, in that function called by my client, i need to know the number of clients calling the function. For doing that, i set a counter variable. In the beginning of the function, i add the counter by 1, but how can i decrease it after the funtion has returned the result? int clientCount=0; public DataObject[] GetData() { Interlocked.Increment(ref clientCount); List<DataObject> result = MockDb.GetData(); return result.ToArray(); Interlocked.Decrement(ref clientCount); //can't run to here... } i have seen a way in c++. Create a new class named counter. In the constructor of the counter class, increase the variable. And decrease it in the destructor. In the function, make a counter object so that its constructor will be called. And after the function returns, its destructor will be called. Like this: class counter { public: counter(){++clientCount; /* not simply like this, need to be atomic*/} ~counter(){--clientCount; /* not simply like this, need to be atomic*/} }; ... myfunction() { counter c; //do something return something; } In c# i think i can do so with the following codes, but not for sure. public class Service1 : IService1 { static int clientCount = 0; private class ClientCounter : IDisposable { public ClientCounter() { Interlocked.Increment(ref clientCount); } public void Dispose() { Interlocked.Decrement(ref clientCount); } } public DataObject[] GetData() { using (ClientCounter counter = new ClientCounter()) { List<DataObject> result = MockDb.GetData(); return result.ToArray(); } } } i write a counter class implement the IDisposable interface. And put my function codes into a using block. But it seems that it doesn't work so good. No matter how many threads i start, the clientCount variable is up to 3. Any advise would be appreciated.
