  • Need to fix my regex

    I am trying to match a string to a regex pattern, but have some problems. My string could have 3 forms: [dbo].[Start] dbo.Start Start This is my regex: "^((\[)?dbo(\])?)?(\.)?(\[)?Start(\])?$" All 3 forms returns success but there are some more options such as: [dboStart or dbo[Start I know that this is because it is optional, but how could I make dependencies when making optional, so that if one optional has value then the second optional must have a value too. Could you help me please to fix this? Thanks.

    I have a factory class to build objects of base class B. The object (D) that uses this factory received a list of strings representing the actual types. What is the correct implementation: the factory receives an Enum (and uses switch inside the Create function) and D is responsible to convert the string to Enum. the factory receives a string and checks for a match to a set of valid strings (using ifs') other implementation i didn't think of.

The classic problem, one source comes correctly, an other has more flatten names: "Elblag" vs. "Elblag" (see the character a) How can I "flatten" a, á, â or à to a for better matching? Are there unicode to ascii- matching tables?

    I need to search for lines in a CSV file that end in an unterminated, double-quoted string. For example: 1,2,a,b,"dog","rabbit would match whereas 1,2,a,b,"dog","rabbit","cat bird" 1,2,a,b,"dog",rabbit would not. I have very limited experience with regular expressions, and the only thing I could think of is something like "[^"]*$ However, that matches the last quote to the end of the line. How would this be done?

    Hi all, I would like to get a list of all the components so that I can further process them. Is this possible, if so, how can I do that? I don't believe I can observe all postCreate events since it is simply an exact match and not a regular expression. @Observer("org.jboss.seam.postCreate.") You can only observe those events and not * as it is put into a map where the key is a string. Any ideas? Walter

    I have been trying to use JSON to store settings for a program. I can't seem to get Python 2.6 's JSON Decoder to decode multi-line JSON strings... I've made a workaround to this using extra functions, but I would like a cleaner and a more consistent way using the same regex. Thanks a lot guys.

What is the best way in C# to turn "14,42" into new Point(14,42);? I know the Regex for doing that is /(\d+),(\d+)/, but I'm having a hard time turning those two match groups into ints in C#.

  • Checkbox has the wrong values

    I have a page with several checkboxes on it, along with a dropdownlist of users. The checkboxes correlate to the user's permissions so each user is different. When a different user is chosen, the check boxes should change to match that user's permissions. The codebehind is correct, I stepped through it and the checkbox.checked value is being assigned to the box with the correct value to match the user. chk.Checked = viewable; No matter what I assign to the checked property the value stays the same as the very first submittal. I tried chk.EnableViewState = false; but that did not help. I am sure it is dot net trying to be helpful (grrr). Thank you for your help. There is no databinding per se. I will be saving the values from the textboxes via xmlhttp when the user clicks on them. I never want the check boxes to fill with values other than what I give them.     I am having problems with conflicting versions of Ruby that I have installed. I had 1.8.6 and then installed 1.8.7 and it has caused problems. I get the following error when trying to run my ruby on rails app: /usr/local/lib/ruby/1.8/i686-linux/rbconfig.rb:7: ruby lib version (1.8.6) doesn't match executable version (1.8.7) (RuntimeError) I would like to remove 1.8.7 somehow and just use 1.8.6 but have no idea how to go about doing this.

    Hi, I have a join which deletes rows that match another table but the joining fields have to be a large varchar (250 chars). I know this isn't ideal but I can't think of a better way. Here's my query: DELETE P FROM dbo.FeedPhotos AS P INNER JOIN dbo.ListingPhotos AS P1 ON P.photo = P1.feedImage INNER JOIN dbo.Listings AS L ON P.accountID = L.accountID WHERE P.feedID = @feedID This query is constantly timing out even though there are less than 1000 rows in the ListingPhotos table. Any help would be appreciated.
