  Hi, I'm new to doctrine: I have a problem with the sorting of joined records. A sample. I've got an Article model which is associated with a Source model in 1 <- n. The source model has a property called 'position' with an integer value. Now I want to fetch an article with it's sources orderes by the position. My DQL looks like this: $q = Doctrine_Query::create() ->select('a.title, s.content') ->from('Article a') ->leftJoin('a.Source s') ->where('a.id = ?') ->orderBy('s.position'); The result doesn't change if I edit the position.   its my first time using a ProgressBar in c#. The idea is to use the ProgressBar as an health bar in a simple game. The thing is I think the bar's maximum value is 100% but i would like to give it a higher value like let's say 1000% or, not sure if it's possible, give the bar an integer value instead of a percentage. progressBar1.Increment(100); This is where I initialize the health to 100points. Even if I use this syntax: progressBar1.Increment(1000); And I subtract : progressBar1.Increment(-25); The player is loosing 1/4 of is life as if he only had 100 Health Points. Any idea how I could change the maximum Bar value? Thanks in advance.

• Can you use MongoDB map/reduce to migrate data?

  I have a large collection where I want to modify all the documents by populating a field. A simple example might be caching the comment count on each post: class Post field :comment_count, type: Integer has_many :comments end class Comment belongs_to :post end I can run it in serial with something like: Post.all.each do |p| p.udpate_attribute :comment_count, p.comments.count end But it's taking 24 hours to run (large collection). I was wondering if mongo's map/reduce could be used for this? But I haven't seen a great example yet. I imagine you would map off the comments collection and then store the reduced results in the posts collection. Am I on the right track?

It's times like this when I wish the preprocessor didn't treat strings in a special way and would process their content just like normal code.   I'm working on a Python extension module, and one of my little test scripts is doing something strange, viz.: x_max, y_max, z_max = m.size for x in xrange(x_max): for y in xrange(y_max): for z in xrange(z_max): #do my stuff What makes no sense is that the loop gets to the end of the first 'z' iteration, then throws a TypeError, stating that "an integer is required". If I put a try...except TypeError around it and check the types of x, y, and z, they all come back as < type 'int' . Am I missing something here?

I would like it to work so that when the opposite directional key is pressed, the character will stop; the character may move the other two directions while stopped in this situation. This works perfectly with LEFT and RIGHT held down; the player may move UP or DOWN.
