  • PHP Redirect one page to another server without showing URL

    Having just written the title for this question I am aware of how dodgy it sounds! I am writing a back end for storing volunteer information for some friends, they have their own website to which I can add a volunteer.php page. What I want is for that page to redirect to a page on my server showing the form for the users to fill in, I would prefer the ugly URL of my site not to show. Is there an easy way to do this? Load the page inside the remotely hosted page somehow? Thanks, Gav

    In the Visual Studio output window, you can double click a line that contains a file path and line number and it automatically takes you to that location. In my program, I need to mimic this behavior and be able to click something (a button for example) and do go to a specific file and line number that I tell it to go to.   • How to make a form using ajax, onchange event, reload to SAME page

    I've been studying this for a while and I'm not sure if I'm going about this the right way because every form I setup according to examples, it doesn't do what I need. I need to setup a form that will: set session when you select from dropdown menu not reload/refresh page (i've read that using AJAX solves this) submit and stay on SAME page (confused because most AJAX examples send it to different process.php page which is supposedly "invisible" but it doesn't "stay" on the same page, it redirects. Basically, client selects quantity of 1 to 10. If they select "2"... it does NOT reload the page.. but it DOES set a session[quantity]=2. Should be simple... but do I POST to same page as form? or POST to different page and it somehow redirects? Also, one test I did it kept pasting my "echo session[quantity]" down the page like 7, 2, 3, 5, etc. etc. each time instead of replacing it. I would paste code but it's all over the place and I'm hoping for direction on which methods to use. Feel I need to start all over again.   • Updating div after full page refresh following AJAX request

    Hi, I have an AJAX controller action which returns JSON. The returned JSON is handled via jQuery and contains a message displayed in an update div. The JSON also contains a flag which indicates a change in state. If this is true the entire page needs to be reloaded from a different url. This is currently performed in the jQuery using window.location.replace(url). In the situation where a full page refresh occurs, I still want to display the message from the JSON in the update div, but after the page has fully reloaded. How can I ensure the div is updated with the message after the window.location.replace call and the page has been completely reloaded? Thanks. (I realise AJAX is not intended for full page refreshes but I can't think of a simple way of avoiding it in this scenario. Normal behaviour here is updating the div with a status message.)

It is possible to add page number using counters to the page footer with plain CSS, but could I use this in more "the way I want it" way? The solution doesn't need to be cross-browser (FF/Chrome is enough), any CSS/Javascript tricks are allowed...

    I was wondering (if possible) if there was a program/tool/utility that when I create a new file and provide it with an extension that it creates the tags automatically? For example, a new file I create called index.php would have the appropriate tags auto-generated inside: <?php ?> I hope you get the idea. Does one, or could one, exist, preferably Windows based? Any information regarding this would be helpful.

    I'm using VS 2010, vb.net and asp 3.5. I have a simple default.aspx page that has Dim ctx As HttpContext = HttpContext.Current Dim cookie As HttpCookie = ctx.Request.Cookies("SessionGUID") Me.lbl1.Text = cookie.Value.ToString the page loads fine when running it from within VS, but when i build the site and run the page, it doesn't load.. it doesn't give me an error, but nothing shows up. This is what the view source looks like HTMLHEAD META content="text/html; charset=windows-1252" http-equiv=Content-Type/HEAD BODY/BODY/HTML I took out the < in the tags so that it would display here... If i take out the Me.lbl1.Text = cookie.Value.ToString the page loads fine.. All i'm putting to the page is some text and the label control. anyone have any ideas

The scenario is: A webpage will contain a menu with menu items that are actually different pages of a PDF file. After clicking a menu item, that particular page from the pdf will be displayed on that same web page This project is targeted for mobile devices (iPad, for now) Now, I am using an iFrame like below: But I don't know if linking to a specific page is possible or Google would like that because I tried the solutions posted on how to open specific page on Google's docs viewer and http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2009/11/link-to-page-in-googles-document-viewer.html but all of them seem to be outdated. Is this even possible? Thanks for any help.

  • Symfony 1.4 filter on index page

    I'm trying to apply a filter to the index page of my module, the code works as I've tested it on another page called filter within the same module. The problem I'm having is that on submitting the filter on the index page (form action points to index) Symfony instead decides to route to the create action for some reason. Although the create method isn't visible in the URL a new form is instantiated on the index page which leads me to suspect it is routing to the create action: http://locahost.com/frontend_dev.php/mymodule Any ideas how I can get a filter to work on the index page?

    i have 2 aspx webpages with vb.net code. On the first page, I have a text box, on first page that says "Enter Hobby", but its not a required textbox. So if the user clicks submit, it'll load up the second page. Now in the second page i have textbox "hobby" which has maxlength = 10. and in the vb.net code i have hobby.text = session("hobby"). if the user doesnt fill up hobby in first page, the session comes with 10 "spaces" since maxlength is 10. I tried hobby.text = TRIM(session("hobby"), but nothing happens. Any idea how i can lose the spaces if nothing is inputted?

In other browsers the iframe gets resized, because the onload event fires each time. I'm using IE8 but the outer page is setting it to IE7 compatibility mode. Is there a workaround for IE?

    Hi, I wish to reverse engineer any web-page into a logical representation of the page. For example, if a web page has a menu, then I want a logical menu structure perhaps in XML. If the webpage has an article, I want a article XML node, if it has a title for the article I want a title XML node. Basically, I want the logical form of the web-page without any of the user interface. This logical model could either be objects in code or XML it doesn't matter, the important part is that it has identified what everything on the page means.
