    I get the following error when trying to start a daemon using Ubuntu 10.04 and the PHP5: PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'usr/lib/php5/20060613/pcntl.so' - /usr/lib/php5/20060613/pcntl.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0 Does System_Daemon try to call pcntl? If so, why is it looking for the file where it does not exist?

  • Can't boot Windows 8

    When I try to boot Windows 8, it starts automatic repair process which fails to repair it. It logs stuff in c:\windows\system32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt. After one of attempted automatic repairs, last line in that file said that tm.sys and clfs.sys files are corrupt (current version says "Startup Repair has tried several times but still cannot determine the cause of the problem.") Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

    Is it possible to assign different background images to tabs in Conemu? Console2 supports custom backgrounds per tab, and I'd like something similar to the functionality it provides. Perhaps I can set this in Startup - Tasks or via the command line of a running tab, but I can't find any information on it. e.g. Tab1 cmd "cmd.png" Tab2 powershell "ps.png" Tab3 Visual Studio Command Prompt "vs.png" Tab4 Admin:cmd "warning.png"

  • Debug JS from browser without a server/localhost

    So something I do very frequently is writing random scripts in JS without really being part of an app. To run them I just paste them in the console of either Chrome of FF which works as a nice REPL, or if I really need more fancy debugging I just add it to my test app on localhost and browse it from the browser. Is there a way to get all the good debugging of a browser (breakpoints, locals, etc), without it being served from a server?, e.g by just copy-pasting my code into console or something?

  • WinPE, Startnet.CMD and passing variables to second batch file not working

    I don't know scripting or PowerShell (yes I need to learn something). I'm not an expert batch file maker either. I have a WinPE flash drive which I used to deploy OS images. I have the WIM, drivers and anything needed else outside the WinPE environment to ensure that Updates, changes are easier for me to make. I use the "STARTNET.CMD" batch file which is part of the WinPE. The reason to go through the letter drives is that the WinPE always gets the X letter drive assigned. The flash drive itself can receive a random letter which always changes. My deployment menu is located on the flash drive it self and not inside the WinPE. This is so that if I need to make a change I don't have to re-do the WinPE. I am able to locate the "menu.bat" batch file and launch it. I use a variable to capture the letter drive. I call the second batch file named "menu.bat" and pass the variable to it. When the second batch file loads, I believe that I am calling the variable correctly. If I break out of the batch file I can echo the variable and see the expected reply. The issue is that I can't use the variable to work with anything on the second batch file. In my test, I can get this to work over and over. When it runs from the real USB flash drive it does not work. I removed comments from the second batch file to make it smaller. My issue is that files below all get a message stating that the system cannot find the path specified. The problem is that, for a very quick second, I see something flash along the lines of "Connection Refused" (before pv overwrites it), and no file is ever transferred.   • Starting Powerpoint show from ActiveX button

    I have several slide shows where topic related shows are launched from another show which acts as an index page. This worked fine in 2007 but now in Office 2010, whilst the show is still launched correctly from the index button, Powerpoint reopens on top of it, so now the show is hidden behind the Powerpoint startup page.     Hi, I have an Ubuntu workstation with Firefox always open on a (autorefreshing) web page protected by basic auth. At startup, I have autologin and automatic Firefox start on the page and I have saved the basic auth credentials. I'd like to confirm in some automated way the username/password dialog box which pops up on the first opening of the page, or I'd like to know if there's any hack to avoid this dialog box. I tried setting the homepage to http://username%3Apassword@myserver/mypage put that doesn't stop confirmation dialog boxes.

    PHP, WHM, and several other services are already installed on a CentOS x64 server I am trying to migrate data to. Many of my existing PHP scripts are dependent on PHP's apache_request_headers() function, which the current server's PHP configuration does not support. Apparently, compiling PHP as an Apache module is one solution, but are there other ways to enable this (without uninstalling PHP, reinstalling, etc., and all dependent services), perhaps as easy as modifying php.ini, somehow?

I am currently using NAT for networking and would like to remain using this networking method if possible.   • What is the registry key for 'Enhanced Pointer Precision' option in the Mouse Properties

    I use a Razer mouse at work, and though the mouse is supercool, it's driver always removes the 'Enhanced Pointer Precision' option from the Pointer Options tab found in the Mouse Properties of Control Panel on startup. If I could find the correct registry setting to set this option 'on' whenever Windows starts, it would solve my problem. I've tried finding the correct key using Process Monitor, I didn't get success. Anyone know the key??

    I am trying to clone a Windows 7 Install from one machine to others, in a computer lab situation. I have used clonezilla to make an image of the machine's harddrive and then attempted to write that image to a second machine's disk. Everything went fine, but when I try to boot Windows 7 on the second machine I get a blue screen flash and then it tries to run the startup repair tool, which runs unsuccessfully. Is there something new with Windows 7 that keeps it from being cloned like this?

    My problem is that a vendor is providing me with a 64bit application (packed in a 64bit installer) but it goes and installs to the x86 (Program Files) Folder and he keeps telling me its OK but I want it to install in the Program Files directory; as the 32 bit version does that and scripts for the app are developed based on this assumption. Can someone direct me to the Microsoft recommended best practices for 64bit applications(links). Thanks in advance.

There was nothing in /var/log/messages or /var/log/libvirt/* all I have it the Terminal output: /etc/init.d/libvirtd start Starting libvirtd daemon: libvirtd: initialization failed [FAILED] I changed the libvirtd logging level to 1, the highest, but saw nothing in messages after another failure.

    I am trying to create a login script, or bat file to delete the folder located in the following directory. I would like the whole folder deleted with all of its contents "Juniper Networks". This is on a terminal server - C:\Users(username)\AppData\Roaming\Juniper Networks I can write a script for each username, but want a script to put in the startup folder that deleted the folder of the current user each time they login.
