  • Indicator menu require long press to open

    I am using 11.10 on my laptop and have a following issue: If I single click on items in notification area (or indicators), like messaging menu, sound menu, calendar, a menu appears and disappears as soon as mouse button is released. I need to do a long press then move pointer to menu area to be able to select items in it. Any clues to fix it? P.S. This is a fresh install but my home folder (thus settings) were restored from previous Ubuntu installation.

    I am trying to do something very simple in powershell Reading the contents of a file Manipulation some string Saving the modified test back to the file function Replace { $file = Get-Content C:\Path\File.cs $file | foreach {$_ -replace "document.getElementById", "$"} |out-file -filepath C:\Path\File.cs } I have tried Set-Content as well. I always get unautorized exception. I can see the $file has the file content, error is coming while writing the file. Any help is appreciated. Ben

  • firefox open local link to directory with explorer

    On a Website for our internal use i show links to local files and folders. the links are like this: href="file://C:/example/" href="file://C:/example/test.odt" The Problem is now that the link to the directory does open in firefox itself with a useless directory listing. Useless because you can just see the files or open them but not copy, insert, delete... The link to the file work normal and the file is opend by OpenOffice. By changing the configuration of firefox and setting the following key to false I can open the directory in with explorer.exe but for the file I have to choose the right application. network.protocol-handler.expose.file Does someone know a way to get both to work like i want? Means that the Directory is shown by explorer.exe and all files are opened by the right application. This can be by configuring Firefox or windows, changing the links, or even by writing a small program which opens all the file protocol correctly and will be used as protocol handler for the file protocol in firefox.   • Online Image Slideshow Question. File Access Problems.

    Hi, I have a flash .swf file that I embed on my webpage. On my server I have the .swf file and multiple image folders. I would like to load every file in one of those folders into the flash slideshow. How should I go about doing this? I tried used Air but it doesn't work on my system as an application so I doubt it will work online. Eventually I plan on making a menu where you can select different folders to display and since they are of different sizes, a foreach loop would be optimal. Keeping a txt file with the number of images is also possible if theres a way to read that in, but I would prefer the more dynamic approach. I am working towards using php for the website if that helps find a solution. Thanks, -Mike Also my slideshow works great online currently but i have to hardcode in the number of files.

  • How can I edit my httpd.conf file?

    I have xampp installed, and need to edit my httpd.conf file to add a virtual host block. If I right-click on the file in Nautilus and open with gedit, I can see all the content, but it's read-only. If I try to open it via terminal, like this: esther@estherLinuxSony:~$ sudo gedit opt/lampp/etc/extra/httpd-vhosts.conf It opens the root version of gedit, but there's no content in the file. How can I edit this file?
