  Has anyone done any performance measures with this in terms of speed where there is a high number of substitutes for any given word. For instance, I want to use this to store common misspellings; expecting to have 4-10 variations of a word. <expansion> _{administration} _{administraton} _aministraton </expansion> When you run a fulltext search, how does performance degrade with that number of variations? for instance, I assume it has to do a separate fulltext search performing an OR? Also, having say 20/30K entries in the Thesaurus xml file - does this impact performance?

• Delphi for PHP - location of source

  I just installed Delphi for PHP to get an idea on how it works and have created a simple app with a button that puts a text into a listbox when it is clicked. The app works if I copy all required files to my webserver and run it from there. It also works if I save the project in the standard path: "c:\documents and settings\username\My Documents\Delphi for PHP Projects" But if I save the project in another directory, the ButtonClick event is not fired when the application runs from there. I've put a breakpoint in the event to see if it stops there but it doesn't. The OnShow event of the form works as usual. It really seems to be the path where the project is located to make it either work or not. As I said, I have no experience with Delphi for PHP so far, it is probably just a simple solution that I don't see...

  Hi All, I have created a Custom C# Project Template for Visual Studio 2008. It works perfect. Only issue is that i have to place the zip file for the project template under the "C:\Documents and Settings\\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Templates\ItemTemplates\Visual C#" Now as this folder is specific to each user on the machine, I will have to make sure that all the users on the machine has the project template installed seperately. Is there any way I can just install it once and all the users can get this project template. In short can I change the Custom Project template Install directory?

• Per query relevance elevation for solr?

  I want to tune the relevance of solr search results on a per user basis - based on the number of times the user has clicked through a result before. Frequently hit items FOR THAT USER should rise to the top of their search results. Is there a way to provide custom boost/elevation for particular document ids on the query? I'm thinking in the order of ~100s of particular documents to elevate. The elevation should have no effect if the rest of the query doesn't find those documents. Alternatively, if this isn't possible, what is a sane way for setting up an alternative indexing approach that would make this possible? Could I add a field per user in the index to store their scores? I'm thinking in the order of 1000 users. The major drawback of that approach is the number of times a document would need to be reindexed (i.e. each time it was used by the user).

  Hello all. Here at work I have Visual Studio 2005 and Office 2007 installed. I'm trying to install the VSTO package to create a templated Word Document project. I installed the VSTO package via this link: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=8315654b-a5ae-4108-b7fc-186402563f2b#filelist Whenever I create a new Word Template Office Project I receive an error message informing me that Office 2003 is not installed. • Should I use Perl or PHP or something else for this project?

  I'm about to embark on a project that will need to: Process XML Heavy text parsing of non-xml documents Insertion of data from xml and non-xml documents into a relational DB. Present processed data to user from db using webpages. The website will be subject to short periods of very heavy loads to pages (300+ visitors a minute for several minutes), but most of the time will be idle (a dozen or so visitors a minute). The ability to cache or scale to load will be very nice. I have a very strong background in Java and web services, but I do not want to use Java for this project as I'd like to diversify my skill set. Which language would you recommend and what are some pros and cons that you might recognize from your own experiences?

  For example: Cardinality and optionality are orthogonal properties of a relationship. You can specify that a relationship is optional, even if you have specified upper and/or lower bounds. This means that there do not have to be any objects at the destination, but if there are then the number of objects must lie within the bounds specified. What exactly does "orthogonal" mean? I bet it's just a fancy soundig nerd-style word for something that could be expressed a lot easier to understand for average people ;) From wikipedia: In mathematics, two vectors are orthogonal if they are perpendicular, i.e., they form a right angle. • Wiki for requirements engineering

  Hi, I'm looking to to build a wiki based tool the helps/aides in the requirements engineering process. More specifically I am hoping to end up with a tool that helps inexperienced users easily create and design requirements documents on a wiki platform. I was wondering if there exist any wiki/wiki platforms that either already exist or are easily extendible or would be worth looking at that for this purpose. For instance some of the features I was hoping to add would be to add structure to a document so that information is filled out in a standardised manner. Another idea I was looking at was to somehow create relationships between different types of documents (for example- a goal diagram gets evolves/ helps in the development of the class diagram). So far I have come across FOSwiki which claims to to fully customisalble...but I'm not sure what it means and what I can really do with that. Any input on FOSwiki is also highly appreciated.

  Hi, I am trying to open OpenOffice documents on a View in RCP. I used for that the OleFram but he is not giving good results and now I am trying to integrate the OOoBean on my application but I can not see how I can do that. I am using Java 1.6 and Eclipse 3.5 and based on this sample http://www.eclipsezone.com/eclipse/forums/t48966.html My application have to show OOwriter and OOCalc documents and to be able to edit and save them. • iPhone / NSArray : How do I format a text file to be read in using arrayWithContentsOfFile

  I have several large word lists and I had been loading them in place in the code as follows: NSArray *dict3 = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:@"abled",@"about",@"above",@"absurd",@"absurdity", ... but now it is actually causing an exc_bad_access error weirdly, i know it seems implausible but for some reason IT IS causing it. (trust me on this I just spend the better part of a day debugging this crap) Anyway, I'm looking to get these humongous lines of code out of my files but I'm not sure what the best approach is. I guess I could do a plist but I need to figure out how to automate the process. it be easiest if I could just use the text files I've been compiling so if anyone knows how I can format the text file so that the myArray = [NSArray arrayWithContentsOfFile: @"myTextFile.txt"]; will be read in correctly as one word per element in the array it would really be appreciated. So a punctuation such as '-' or for example a '.' in "No." should not spacing in a sentence, but other punctuation that don't rely on a word or a phrase should be spaced.

  I am trying to view camera feed from a Logitech9000 camera using DSVL(DirectShow Video Library) http://sourceforge.net/projects/dsvideolib/. • How can I get PHP to compile a LaTeX document if it (www-data) can't get access to the required packages?

  I have a PHP script that compiles LaTeX documents with the use of: exec('cd /path/to/doc && /usr/bin/latexmk -pdf filename.tex'); This is working for some of my LaTeX documents but my latest document doesn't compile and a look at the log reveals: !pdfTeX error: pdflatex (file ecrm1000): Font ecrm1000 at 600 not found ==> Fatal error occurred, no output PDF file produced! Which I have found is the result of LaTeX not being able to see the required font packages. When I run the same compile command under my username the document compiles as it should. So my question is, how can I get PHP (executing as www-data) to get access to the necessary LaTeX packages? I have tried installing the required package under the www-data account using: sudo -u www-data sudo apt-get install texlive-fonts-recommended but it askes for www-data's password, which I don't believe was set by me and isn't anything I've thrown at it. I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 if it's any help.

• Netlogo behaviorspace, How to export each experiment's plot in a separate directory with a unique name? (Answer is by using pathdir extension)

  I have a save-plots function which I call it in my final command of behavior space to export selected plots, I could create unique names for plots so they don't replace each other, for example my output file name for one of the plots is like this: DeathRates, PS true, HCHA false 100,true.csv Let FileNameDeathRates ( word "D: /Results/" "DeathRates, " "PS "PS? ", HCHA " HCHA? MPS "," CV? ".csv" ) So far is good, but I want is to have a directory with name of the experiment and export all plots of that experiment in that directory for example: Let DirName( word "D:/Results/" "PS "PS? ", HCHA " HCHA? MPS "," CV? ) Netlogo already exports plots with proper name and I just want the directory name to be different , and of course prior to the experiment the directory does not exist so the directory should be created first , I could not find a command to create a directory in netlogo without pathdir extension. • Finding an HTTP proxy that will intercept static resource requests

  Background I develop a web application that lives on an embedded device. In order to make dev times sane, frontend development is done using apache serving static documents, with PHP proxying out to the embedded device for specifically configured dynamic resources. This requires that we keep various server-simulation scripts hanging around in source control, and it requires updating those scripts whenever we add a new dynamic resource. Problem I'd like to invert the logic: if the requested document is available in the static documents directory, serve it; otherwise, proxy the request to the embedded device. Optimally, I want a software package that will do this for me (for Windows or buildable on cygwin). I can deal with forcing apache to do it with PHP, but I'm unsure how to configure it to make it happen. I've looked at squid and privoxy, but neither of them seem to do what I want. Any ideas? I'd rather not have to roll my own.

  I would like to create an NSDictionary (or something similar) that has two keys per value. It will be for English/Spanish word look-up, where: each value is an array containing all the conjugated verbs in English AND Spanish. each (two) keys contains both an English infinitive (e.g. "to be", "to go") and a Spanish infinitive This way, I can look a word up regardless of language based on the values having two keys per value. Here's an example: keys: "to want" or "querer" values: ["want", "want", "wants", "want", "want", "quiero", "quieres", "quiere", "queremos", "quieren"]
