  • sanitation script in php for login credentials...

    What I am looking for currently is a simple, basic, login credentials sanitation script. I understand that I make a function to do so and I have one...but all it does right now is strip tags... am I doomed to use replace? or is there a way i can just remove all special characters and spaces and limit it to only letters and numbers...then as for the password limit it to only letters and numbers exclimation points, periods, and other special chars that cannot affect my SQL query. Ok, next question: how? Here's an analogy. If I want to create an ASP.NET Webforms page, I load up my favorite text editor, create a file named Something.aspx. (without Visual Studio) Suppose I want a basic MVC app with a controller, one view, and a simple model. What files would I need to create, and what would go into them?

  • Does Hibernate always need a setter when there is a getter?

    We have some Hibernate getter methods annotated with both @Column and @Basic. We get an exception if we don't have the corresponding setter. Why is this? In our case we are deriving the value returned from the getter (to get stored in the DB) and the setter has no functional purpose. So we just have an empty method to get around the error condition..

    hey, I'm trying to programming a crossword creator. using a given dictionary txt file and a given pattern txt file. The basic idea is using DFS algorithm. the problem begin when the dictionary file is v-e-r-y big (about 50000 words). then i recive the : Exception in thread "main" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded i know that there is a part in my program that waists memory, but i don't know where it is, how to find it and how to fix it

  • State server in webfarm scenario?

    This is a fairly basic question about state server but assume there are 2 servers behind a load balancer. How do I configure the session state server? So, I have machine1 and machine2. I would assume that I would need to install the state server on 1 machine only and then use the internal IP to refer to that machine. Is this correct? As oppose too, I would not install state server on both machines.

    There was an earlier thread on Java graph or chart library, where JFreeChart was found to be quite good, but, as stated in its FAQ, it's not meant for real-time rendering. Can anyone recommend a comparable library that supports real-time rendering? Just some basic xy-rendering - for instance, getting a voltage signal from data acquisition system and plotting it as it comes (time on x-axis, voltage on y-axis).

  • Combine hash values in C#

    I'm creating a generic object collection class and need to implement a Hash function. I can obviously (and easily!) get the hash values for each object but was looking for the 'correct' way to combine them to avoid any issues. Does just adding, xoring or any basic operation harm the quality of the hash or am I going to have to do something like getting the objects as bytes, combining them and then hashing that?     I would like to develop a site using jQuery that will work with all major browsers. I thought to start with a basic layout (a header, a couple of tabs with content, and footer). I wonder how should I create this layout to support different screen resolution, screen size, or window size.   • Weird jquery behaviour

    I'm trying to achieve something really basic but jquery isn't doing what I expect! I have a div with an id of "stuff". In the css I set the display attribute to "none" with the aim of changing it with jquery. This way the div is hidden unless the user has js enabled. My jquery code is simply $("#stuff").show(); unfortunately this isn't working and the div remains hidden.
