• Tweaking rendering of thumbnail images in galleria

  I am working on the classic theme of Galleria to display a gallery. Here the requirement is to display the thumbnails in two row with the images in following order with a horizontal scroller if the thumbnails list div width increases more than 24. 1 3 5 7 9 11 13 15 17 19 21 23 .. 2 4 6 8 10 12 14 16 18 20 22 24 .. For if the images are less than 24 and more than 12 then the order should be rendered in two rows as :- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 .. For if the images is less than 12 the images should be rendered in a single row as :- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7... Presently what I have done is I am using css3 column property to do this using different classes on the basis of image counts. This is working in all browsers but in IE8. So, is there any substitute for css3 column property for IE8 or less. Or some better way to implement the stuff that works fine in IE as well.

• IDENTITY_INSERT ON inside of cursor does not allow inserted id

  I am trying to set some id's for a bunch of rows in a database where the id column is an identity. I've created a cursor to loop through the rows and update the ids with incrementing negative numbers (-1,-2,-3 etc). When I updated just one row turning on the IDENTITY_INSERT it worked fine but as soon as I try and use it in a cursor, it throws the following error.   I would like to achieve a simplified result similar to the "Color Scale" function in Excel i.e. gradient colouring based on the lowest value (red) to highest value (green), except in my cross tab using Crystal Reports 2008.   Hi, I'm having a problem reading data from a text file into ms sql. I created a text file in my c:\ called data.txt, but for some reason ms sql server cannot find the file. I get the error "Cannot bulk load. The file "c:\data.txt" does not exist." Any ideas? I'd like to do something like select top 2 * from tbl_ranks where family_id = 1 order by view_count union all select top 2 * from tbl_ranks where family_id = 2 order by view_count union all select top 2 * from tbl_ranks where family_id = 3 order by view_count union all select top 2 * from tbl_ranks where family_id = 4 order by view_count but, of course, order by isn't valid in a union all context in this manner. Any suggestions? I know I could run a set of 4 queries, store the results into a temp table and select the contents of that temp as the final result, but I'd rather avoid using a temp table if possible. Note: in the real app, the number of records per family id is indeterminate, and the view_counts are also not fixed as they appear in the above example.

  I have a PHP page that queries a DB to populate a form for the user to modify the data and submit. The query returns a number of rows which contain 3 items: ImageID ImageName ImageDescription The PHP page titles each box in the form with a generic name and appends the ImageID to it. Ie: ImageID_03 ImageName_34 ImageDescription_22 As it's unknown which images are going to have been retrieved from the DB then I can't know in advance what the name of the form entries will be. The form deals with a large number of entries at the same time. • PHP - How do you secure a unique variable name?

  This function cropit, which I shamelessly stole off the internet, crops a 90x60 area from an existing image. In this code, when I use the function for more than one item (image) the one will display on top of the other (they come to occupy the same output space). I think this is because the function has the same (static) name ($dest) for the destination of the image when it's created (imagecopy). I tried, as you can see to include a second argument to the cropit function which would serve as the "name" of the $dest variable, but it didn't work. In the interest of full disclosure I have 22 hours of PHP experience (incidentally the same number of hours since the last I slept) and I am not that smart to begin with.   Hello and thanks for any support. So I have an API that is expecting an escaped xml as part of the query params. so I tried a couple of things. <Set> <QueryParams> <QueryParam name="xml">%3CcreateSession%3E%3CapiKey+type%3D%22integer%22%3123123123123123123%3C%2FapiKey%3E%3C%2FcreateSession%3E</QueryParam> </QueryParams> </Set> this actually gets extra escaped and we end up with an invalid xml <Set> <QueryParams> <QueryParam name="xml"> <createSession><apiKey type=\"integer\">123123123123</apiKey> </createSession> </QueryParam> </QueryParams> </Set> this one is not even saved. <Payload variablePrefix="#" variableSuffix="#" contentType="application/json"> { 'xml': '<createSession><apiKey type=\"integer\">123123123123</apiKey></createSession>'} </Payload> this is not helping me either. so what would be the best way to add an xml to the params without getting extra escaped or escaped only once

  I've been trying to get distinct values using Linq to NHibernate and I'm failing miserably.   I am trying to read bytes from server using Socket program, ie I am using InputStream to read the bytes. If I pass the length size I am able to read the bytes, but I am not sure what may be the length. So I am not able initialize the byte array. Also I tried while (in.read() !=-1), I observered it loop works fine when the data is sent , but the next line after the loop is not executable , I feel its still looking for the data in the stream but there is no ata. If I close the Server connection , then my client will execute the next line followed to the loop.
