    Hi, I'm trying to count several joined tables but without any luck, what I get is the same numbers for every column (tUsers,tLists,tItems). My query is: select COUNT(users.*) as tUsers, COUNT(lists.*) as tLists, COUNT(items.*) as tItems, companyName from users as c join lists as l on c.userID = l.userID join items as i on c.userID = i.userID group by companyID The result I want to get is --------------------------------------------- # | CompanyName | tUsers | tlists | tItems 1 | RealCoName | 5 | 2 | 15 --------------------------------------------- what modifications do i have to do to my query to get those results?     I am developing an application by using phonegap and jQuery Mobile. Phonegap recommends a single document structure. As 5 divs or more in a document are pretty unclear, I'm trying to split up my pages (the div's) into multiple documents. If the class has an identifier property as id, then wouldn't it be better to store the cat's mother's id instead of cat's mother object. means instead of private Cat mother; wouldn't it be better to have private long motherId; `

    Hello, I use Visual studio 2008 I have 5 listbox's on form,I created a new class file -called him "scaner.cs" scaner.cs -he cannot see "listbox".     i am retrieving different characters from a string by using thsi function and adding 5 to them to display the corresponding character for eg.   • Hibernate many-to-one - bad usage?

    Just trying out Hibernate (with Annotations) and I'm having problems with my mappings. I have two entity classes, AudioCD and Artist. @Entity public class AudioCD implements CatalogItem { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO) private int id; private String title; @ManyToOne(cascade = { CascadeType.ALL }, optional = false) private Artist artist; .... } @Entity @Table(uniqueConstraints = { @UniqueConstraint(columnNames = { "name" }) }) public class Artist { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO) private int id; @Column(nullable = false) private String name; ..... } I get AudioCD objects from an external source. When I try to persist the AudioCD the Artist gets persisted as well, just like I want to happen. If I try persisting another different CD, but Artist already exists I get errors due to constraint violations. I want Hibernate to recognise that the Artist already exists and shouldn't be inserted again. Can this be done via annotations? Or do I have to manage the persistence of the AudioCD and Artist seperately?

I need to select a particular record where an ID="0003" (or whatever) from either table1 or table2 if table1 doesn't have that record. Then I need to join table1 and table2 on a mutual field they both have (field name is Product_ID) I was playing with all sorts of variations of the following, (no, it doesn't work) but after 2 days of groping through the internet and a big SQL book I still can't figure anything out.     My specific concern is related to the performance of a clustered index on a reference table that has many rapid inserts and deletes. Table 1 "Collection" collection_pk int (among other fields) Table 2 "Item" item_pk int (among other fields) Reference Table "Collection_Items" collection_pk int, item_pk int (combined primary key) Because the primary key is composed of both pks, a clustered index is created and the data physically ordered in the table according to the combined keys. I have many users creating and deleting collections and adding and removing items to those collections very frequently affecting the "Collection_Items" table, and its clustered index. QUESTION PART: Since the "Collection_Items" table is so dynamic, wouldn't there be a big performance hit on constantly resorting the table rows because of the clustered index ? If yes, what should I do to minimize this ?

    We have an ASP.NET web application which uses integrated windows authentication. It is accessed by users from two domains, A and B. A is the primary domain and B is an older domain which is going away. Web application is authenticating users using a group policy which only exists in domain A. Every user in domain B has an account in domain A. The application lives in domain A. There was no trust between the domains. So users from domain A would get silently authenticated and logged into the site. Users from domain B didn't get authenticated automatically and were prompted with the IE popup, to which they authenticated using their domain A credentials and everything worked. Now somebody has set up a trust between the domains and users from domain B get authenticated silently to IIS, and then their login fails (no group policy). So the question is: can I either programmatically or in IIS configuration make it so that users from domain B still get prompted even though there is trust between the domains? Is there a way to tell the server where IIS is running to ignore the trust relationship maybe?

  • Programming powering off and powering on in one single OnClick function on android

    I would like to write an activity that after clicking on a button turns off the screen and then turns it back on after 2 secs. I tried using the following code in order to power off the screen: WindowManager.LayoutParams lp = getWindow().getAttributes(); lp.screenBrightness = 0/(float)255; getWindow().setAttributes(lp); But it would only take effect when then onClick function returns. I tried running it into a handler but with no success. I need to find a way to force the setting to get applied before the function returns so that I can call the power on function 2 secs later on the same onClick call. I also found it very hard to wakeup the device afterwards. While this code works if I power off the screen using the physical button it doesn't seem to work when the phone is powered off using the technique described previously. Lets say I have 4 URLs http://www.anydotcom.com/test/search.cfm?metric=blah&selector=size&value=1 http://www.anydotcom.com/test/search.cfm?metric=blah2&selector=style&value=1 http://www.anydotcom.com/test/search.cfm?metric=blah3&selector=size&value=1 http://www.anydotcom.com/test/details.cfm?metric=blah&selector=size&value=1 I want to create an expression that will identify any URL that contains the string selector=size but does NOT contain details.cfm I know that to find a string that does NOT contain another string I can use this expression: (^((?!details.cfm).)*$) But, I'm not sure how to add in the selector=size portion. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • HTML, Javascript, PHP and Actionscript all in one Eclipse install (2010)

    I just wanted to poll the community and see which plugins people are currently using to get all of these different technologies running in Eclipse. I saw this thread which mentioned Spket & WPT: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1575617/eclipse-which-plugins-for-html-javascript But I noticed that Spket doesn't seem to have been updated since October of 2009 so I'm wondering if it's still a good tool to use. I'm not sure what would be best for PHP since it seems like some of the tools are disjointed at the moment. For Actionscript I know I can just install the latest Flash Builder plugin and be done. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
