    Is there a standard way to create unique web page address in ASP.NET? I'm sending surveys to customers and will be including a link to the web page. For example: http://www.mysurveypages.foo/survey/UniqueID I would then customize the survey based on who I sent it to. I know it can be done by passing in a unique parameter to a page but I curious about doing it this way.

    Hi everyone, I'm trying to e-mail a html table, that has links within it. But when I receive the e-mail, it just shows me the html code itself. I'm using PHP pear to send the email. I try constructing a string like so $body = "<table>"; $body = $body . "<tr><td><a href='http://google.ca'>Google</a></td></tr>"; $body = $body . "</table>"; then e-mailing it, but when I receive the e-mail, it comes like this <table><tr><td><a href='http://google.ca'>Google</a></td></tr></table> Any suggestions? Thanks!

There is a message as "The delivery extension for this subscription could not be loaded."   • opening a file attachment from an outlook email using clickonce and a file association

    Hi, I have a clickonce application (VS2010, .NET 4). I have registered a file association (.task), and this all works well. If I double click a file with the .task extension on the desktop the clickonce application opens and can open the file. If I email the file however, and double click the file from within outlook, I get the open/save dialog. If I click open nothing appears to happen. If I save the file I can open it by double clicking on it. Any ideas why the file does not open from within outlook ? Thanks, Mark

    I am building a form for a client. Here is the rundown. The form will be used as a request to have a staff member contact the person filling out the form. However, there is a list of staff members that will contact them depending on what the subject matter is. So, I want to create a checkbox input section on the form with each staff person's email address attached to a corresponding checkbox. So, the person filling out the form can check only the staff people necessary for their needs. Finally, when the person clicks "submit", the form will be emailed to only the staff members who were checked in the form. I'm at a loss of how to set this up.

  • Jquery broken by GetResponse (email marketing) web form script

    I'm working on a site that relies on quite a bit of javascript. The problem is, I'm not a javascript guru in the least. Yes, bit off more than I can chew, here. I'm using jquery for a spy effect, and use GetResponse for email signups. If I implement my GetResponse script, it breaks the area later in the page which depends on the jquery script. Pull the GetResponse script and it works just fine. Problem is, I need them both. ;) The trick, I suppose, is that the GetResponse script is actually another Jquery script, so it's getting called twice... Any help?     After asking this question, it looks like I need to use Ruby's PTY Module, of which there is no documentation. I have written this code to try to push content to Google App Engine because the python command sometimes asks me for my username and password.     Hi, I am trying to send out a custom email, after the Collect Data from user step in my primary workflow which starts when an item in list X is created. I have created a secondary workflow to start when a new Task item is created (this is created by the Collect Data from user action in the primary workflow). But I am having problem how I retrieve the information on the list X. I know the ID of the referenced item in List X is stored in a URL within the "Link" column in the Tasks lists. But can't see any string manipulation function that will grab this ID so I can use it to link back to relevant item in List X. Is there an easier way to do this? Many Thanks, Nav

    I am accessing Lotus and Groupwise using javamail via IMAP, recursively accessing all folders and processing email I find. But in folders like Tasklist and Calendar (those are from Groupwise but I think I remember Lotus had similar things), I get the items in there as instances of IMAPMessage, and so they are processed as if they were mail. I understand those items get exposed as mail through the IMAP protocol (either by design or by mistake), but I only want to process proper mail. Is there a way to do this? I have dismissed following approaches so far: Make sure the message has a message-id, at least in Groupwise Calendar items have it. Ignore folders by name (such as Calendar and Tasklist): is not totally correct as a user can move mail inside those folders. What I am looking is some IMAP api call I have missed so far or something in those lines...

  • Sending email from Drupal contact form, but GMail marks it as "Forged"

    Hi, My Drupal site sends email to a GMail account, but the emails sent all go into the Spam folder, and GMail puts up a bar with the message "This message was likely forged and did not originate from your account." Although I can create a filter to prevent them going to Spam, I want to start sending newsletters, and I suspect they'll have the same problem. I suspect the problem is with the way I've set up either PHP or Drupal to send mail. As far as I know it's just using the sendmail function. I've set the from address to "info@..." where ... is the site domain. Any tips on how I can make set up my outgoing mail so it won't be refused by GMail (and presumably other major mail providers)?     I am able to get the registration confirmation email to send out in deployment on Heroku, but when I try a registration on localhost:3000, I get the following error: undefined local variable or method `confirmed_at' for #<User:0xb67a1ff0> In my config/environments/production.rb file I have: config.action_mailer.default_url_options = { :host => 'xxxx.com' } And I have an initializer file with the following format: ActionMailer::Base.smtp_settings = { :user_name => "[email protected]", :password => "xxxxxx", :domain => "xxxx.com", :address => "smtp.sendgrid.net", :port => "xxx", :authentication => :plain, :enable_starttls_auto => true }; What settings do I need to get the localhost working?     We are a network of Mac computers. I would like to send email addresses to colleagues with links to files on network locations. I made the following applescript: tell application "Finder" set uuu to URL of the first item of (get the selection) set the clipboard to uuu end tell which puts the URL of the currently selected file into the clipboard, which can then be pasted into the message (using the Add Link menu item), providing, for example: file://localhost/Volumes/Commerciale/Clienti/ unfortunately these links do not work. If I select Go To Folder from the menu item, I can get to the folder using an afp:// type url. Is there any way to get this via applescript like I do with url above? Thanks

    I am building a site that runs an automated process every 30 minutes to match up new flights with their respective user. Once this process is completed I want to email the flight details out to the respective user. However the flight info will be different for every single user with their being 0-300+ potential emails.   • Can I use Lotus Notes to send mail ?

    I have to code an app that at some point in time will have to send some reports using Lotus Notes. My questions are : Can I send mail through the Lotus Notes client, or something related to Lotus Notes ( a command line tool maybe? )? If so, where could I find information related to this? I would prefer not having to do it in C/C++, but if no other options' present, that would do. How can I find out the server's address? The GUI is not intuitive, and I can't find the server address. The server's located on another computer on the network.
