  • Lightbox getting open multiple time on enter.

    Hi All, I am going through a weird problem while using lightbox . Where ever the new light box is used user is able to open the same light box on same page number of time. For e.g Using tab button go to `Lightbox link`. Press enter --> Light box will open. Press enter --> second light box open below the previous one. and so on....... The problem is occurred when I use tab and entered on the link my focus is not getting changed from the link and so user is able to open multiple lightbox on clicking enter.   • Best practices to deal with "slightly different" branches of source code

    This question is rather agnostic than related to a certain version control program. Assume there is a source code tree under certain distributed version control. Let's call it A. At some point somebody else clones it and gets its own copy. Let's call it B. I'll call A and B branches, even if some version control tools have different definitions for branches (some might call A and B repositories). Let's assume that branch A is the "main" branch. In the context of distributed version control this only means that branch A is modified much more actively and the owner of branch B periodically syncs (pulls) new updates from branch A. Let's consider that a certain source file in branch B contains a class (again, it's also language agnostic). The owner of branch B considers that some class methods are more appropriate and groups them together by moving them inside the class body. Functionally nothing has changed - this is a very trivial refactoring of the code. But the change gets reflected in diffs. Now, assuming that this change from branch B will never get merged into branch A, the owner of branch B will always get this difference when pulling from branch A and merging into his own workspace. Even if there's only one such trivial change, the owner of branch B needs to resolve conflicts every time when pulling from branch A. As long as branches A and B are modified independently, more and more conflicts like this appear. What is the workaround for this situation? Which workflow should the owner of branch B follow to minimize the effort for periodically syncing with branch A?

  • C++ Multi Monitor - Find All Visible/Open Windows

    I'm trying to find all the windows of ANY kind that are open (and have a taskbar 'button'). I have no problems finding the list processes/hWnd's, and then cycling through those, but how do I determine if a process/hwnd has a window open? (even if minimized). I've tried doing different combinations of the window parameters (such as WS_POPUP etc) but none of the parameters (or combinations of parameters) that I could find would give me all the open windows without some sort of false positives. As an example of a false positive was the fact that it gives me two 'windows' for google talk (even though one was open). Another false positive is considering the start menu as an open window. Any ideas? Solutions? I've been working on this for a while and its been driving me a bit insane. Note: I'm doing this for windows 7 (at this point). I'm not sure if there's any difference between how you would do this between XP and 7, but I thought it might be relevant.

    I am opening links on a page into an IFrame. But if the user right clicks and selects open in new window that will ruin the look I want since it will not have the parent page holding it. So is there a way to open the page as i have it working now when the user clicks on the link but if they choose to open in new tab to have it load the current page all over again in the new window with the link they selected loaded into the IFrame.     How can I change the program a file is opened with by default (or at least add that program in the list of programs from Open With... ) using C# or VB.NET ? What I mean is, I would like to have programs with the extension abc open by default by the program abc.exe. Or, have the program abc.exe in the list of programs that will be shown in the context menu on the "Open With" option, for files with extension "xls".

    Mac OS X 10.6 I created a very simple app, which is only a wrapper of a shell script (so that I can select this script in application selectors, like startup apps). I try to launch it and yesterday it worked, but today I changed the executable script's content and name (with something that perfeclty works in a shell script launched in the Terminal) and it will only display a Finder-iconed dialog saying Cannot open the application because it is not supported on this kind of Mac. I restored the previous script (content/name) but I still get the error! Same when re-bundling the app from scratch, or completely changing the bundle identifier… If I try to open it in the Terminal using open My.app, I get The application cannot be opened because it has an incorrect executable format. But when I executes directly the Contents/MacOS/Script, it allways works (iwth both contents). Also, it is displayed with correct icon and meta-information in the Finder (so I guess the Info.plist is understood).   • Calling class in Java after editing file used in as source for table

    I'm currently working on a project, I'll try to subrscibe first. I save data into text file, that I use as a source for browser of that data. The browser is based on table that contains the data. I have to rewrite the source file everytime I delete or edit data. That's where the problem comes in. After deleting or editing data I call a method to create the table again, but the table never creates. Is it possibly made by editing the file and calling the method right after that? If I restart my app the table is successfully created with right data. Take in note that I don't get any error message.   • ls -l freezes terminal locally and remotely

    I've been reading other SF threads regarding ls not returning results or freezing and stalling terminal sessions and it appears they usually the fault of network problems. My problem however, occurs both over remote SSH sessions but also if I am physically at the server itself... I just installed CentOS 5.4 on one of our servers. I'm setting up some rdiff-backup scripts and when I downloaded librsync and untared it, thats when I started seeing some weird behavior with ls -l. wget http://sourceforge.net/projects/librsync/files/librsync/0.9.7/librsync-0.9.7.tar.gz/download /tmp cd /tmp tar -xzf librsync-0.9.7.tar.gz Simple enough. To view the files in this directory I did this: ls results: librsync-0.9.7 librsync-0.9.7.tar.gz Now, if I ls -l, my terminal freezes. I have to re-ssh in to keep going. After reading SF threads, I thought it was network related. So I was extremely surprised to go sit down at the server itself and see the exact same thing happen... So its obviously not a network issues. Even if I ls /tmp/librsync-0.9.7, my terminal freezes just the same... Is there any way to get more information about the cause of the error? It is useful to know that these are pretty big documents, 3-50 megabytes. They reside on the Linux server so reading them is just a local disk read, and is unlikely to be a contributor to the problem. But sheer size might be an issue for the recipients browser? Is this kind of error rate typical for downloads? My personal experience downloading other's documents suggests no; our internal attempts show this to be very reliable, but we're operating on our internal network for such experiments so we're missing the complexity of the intervening internet.

  • SQL Server 2008 login problem with ASP.NET application: Failed to open the explicitly specified data

    I am running SQL Server 2008 Express Edition on Windows Server 2008 with an ASP.NET application which must access the server. The ASP.NET application is associated with an application pool that runs on the NetworkService account. This account in turn has a Login and User record on SQL Server in the required database. When I attempt to run the ASP.NET website I get a blank page and when viewed in the error log, I seem to be getting this information event record: Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE'. Reason: Failed to open the explicitly specified database. [CLIENT: myLocalMachine] The connection string has Trusted_Connection=True; and the required database specified. When I explicitly specify the user name and password I get another login error stating the password is incorrect, even though the same un/pw combination works through SQL Server Management studio. The NETWORK SERVICE account seems to have all the required privileges for the database. Also, I made a test ASP.NET website project which does a simple select from a table in that database, and using the same config file I am not getting the error and it seems to work. Is it something to do with trust levels then, because the original ASP.NET web app references various DLLs including open source libraries. Also, the application does not seem to be able to write to the event log itself, throwing a security exception, even though everything in the config files, including machine.config states the app is in full trust.

  • Word documents very slow to open over network, but fine when opened locally - on one machine

    Windows XP, Word 2003, patched. The issue is happening with several Word documents stored on a network drive. The Word documents are clearly a bit wonky (i.e. one is 675k, but if you copy everything but the last paragraph marker into a new document, the new document is only 30k). But that's only part of the problem. On one weird machine, and one machine only, it takes ~20 seconds to open these Word documents from the network drive. Copy the file to C: on that werid machine? Opens immediately. Go to other machines (that are very similar - same patch level, etc.) and open the same document from the network? Opens immediately. Delete normal.dot? 20 seconds. Login with a different user on the weird machine? 20 seconds. Plug wonky machine into a different network port? 20 seconds. So the problem appears to be hardware related (i.e. wonky internal NIC) or related to a setting that is not profile specific. Any ideas? "Scrubbing" all the documents isn't ideal for several reasons. This is driving me nuts because I swear I ran into this before many years ago and eventually figured it out. But I appear to have lost my notes.

  • Restoring open software after a restart event in windows

    I find that at the end of a long day, I sometimes have a large number of programs running. All which I will need to use tomorrow. Normally, this isn't an issue, I can simply lock the machine and come back tomorrow. My problem arrises when windows update launches in the middle of the night and force restarts my computer. That in turns closes all my open software. I of course save everything regularly so I don't loose anything, but I waste time reopening all of those resources whenever there is a restart. [EDIT] I should clarify that I still want to be able to restart my computer when an update comes down. Preventing the restart only delays the problem until later. I should have been more specific in that I want to be able to recover my working environment after a restart for any reason. Things like scheduled maintence, power loss, updates, and software installs. [EDIT] I can't simply have them setup to launch at startup becasuse those files change from week to week. So I need something that monitors what I have open, and gives me the option to "recover" those software sessions when I log back in. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do? I'd even be willing to purchase software to do this for me if that is the only option. Thanks

  • Domain authentication over OPEN wireless pre-logon (Windows 7 Pro) - No logon servers avail

    I have a plethora of laptops that are joined to an AD domain. I have an enterprise wireless system setup, the users of these laptops will be using an OPEN unsecured SSID which will ultimately have a captive portal that uses Radius-AD auth and firewall rules to allow access pre-captive portal auth to the proper ip's/ports of DC's etc for auth etc. I already have other laptops/users connecting to another SSID with 802.11x and SSO, all works perfectly pre-logon etc. My problem is with this open network, for some reason I cannot get the machines to auth to AD. The laptops connect to the wireless network, I confirm this on the controller and can ping the laptop at startup. I sharked the wires on the 2 DC's that these machines auth to, I can see a DNS SOA update from a laptop im testing with and can ping that test laptop from both DC's. When I try to logon, "There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request." The shark shows no incoming connections to either DC even though the laptop is connected and pingable. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • nxclient crashes when trying to open a terminal from a remote client through "ssh -Y"

    I support around 150 linux machines. I have 2 virtual machines on an ESXi server which I access via nxmachine v3 from a windows 7 box. These machines run CentOS5 with KDE and Lubuntu12.04.1 and they are the admin GUIs from which I support the 150 machines. The linux machines which I manage are redhat4/5, CentOS5 and ubuntu 10 and 12. Normally I contact the machines via ssh -Y. Today I did an ssh -Y to a remote machine which is running Ubuntu 12.10 and ssh 6.0p1. Then I tried to open an lxterminal on the remote machine which should display on my KDE desktop. This immediately and reproducably crashed my nxclient session. I tried again from my lubuntu system with the same effect. I have not observed the phenomenon from other machines yet. The message log on my KDE host shows: Unexpected termination of nxagent because of signal: 11 Logger::log nxnode 3920 Googling for this revealed no usable answer. Does anybody have a clue what is going on here or can give a hint how to solve the issue? Add On: I asked the user at the remote machine to export his DISPLAY to my host and open an lxterminal. This worked without problems i. e. the nxclient did not crash. Then the user tried to send me xeyes and this also killed the nxclient with the same error message found in the message log as above. This makes me suspect that the problem is not solely connected to ssh but maybe to some library stuff.
