    I try to learn the has_and_belongs_to_many relationship between my 2 fresh new and simple models Product and Author, where a Product can have many authors and where author can have a lots of products.   • How to share sessions between PHP and ASP.net application?

    My company took some old php application over. Due to our preference to ASP.net and to the lack of any documentation from the previous developer, we do not want to spend much resources on developing in PHP. For implementing new features, we will create an Asp.net application that has the same look to the user. We want to develop a kind of 'coexisting' web application. Therefore we must share sessions between an PHP and an Asp.net webapplication project, because there is a usermanagement involved with an existing MySQL database. (e.g. link 'A' directs to the PHP website, and link 'B' directs to the asp.net application) How can we share the session between and PHP and an asp.net application? And does anyone have a hint for this 'coexisting' thing, that might be useful in development? Edit: IIS 6 would be our targeted server, altough IIS 7.5 would also be an option

  • Paging doesn't work in the Joomla Article Manager in the admin section

    I inherited a Joomla site that is having a problem with the article manager in the admin section. The pagination doesn't work! If I click the page number, forward, back, or page size, nothing happens! So I found out that someone had previously installed the iJoomla SEO plugin, but it never worked so they removed it. I think it is incompatible with the version I have. I setup a local environment with almost the same setup (I have 5.2.11 vs the servers 5.2.13) with Wamp Server, and I found that some of the session variables are missing! When dumped via print_r(), the $_SESSION variable is missing the "com_content", "global", and "com_plugins" arrays! So I guess that is the reason that paging doesn't work, because the "com_content" array looks like it has paging info in it. (maybe I'm wrong) So I'm running Version 1.5.13 on PHP Version 5.2.13 Anyone know why this would happen? Thanks in advance!

    Hi, I am running multiple screens from one ssh connection, when I list all of the screens via screen -ls the names are not very descriptive and when I have multiple screens it becomes hard to remember what is running on each. Does anyone know how to name these sessions (preferably when creating the screen). Thanks

    Is there any way of dealing with sessions with sockets in C#? Example of my problem: I have a server with a socket listening on port 5672. TcpListener socket = new TcpListener(localAddr, 5672); socket.Start(); Console.Write("Waiting for a connection... "); // Perform a blocking call to accept requests. TcpClient client = socket.AcceptTcpClient(); Console.WriteLine("Connected to client!"); And i have two clients that will send one byte. Client A send 0x1 and client B send 0x2. From the server side, i read this data like this: Byte[] bytes = new Byte[256]; String data = null; NetworkStream stream = client.GetStream(); while ((stream.Read(bytes, 0, bytes.Length)) != 0) { byte[] answer = new ... stream.Write(answer , 0, answer.Length); } Then client A sends 0x11. I need a way to know that this client is the same that sent "0x1" before.

    I'm after a simple solution to work in all browsers. For specific file types, or targeted links via a class: how can I get them to simply force download in all major browsers. I can't seem to find a full browser proof solution. Is it not possible? Any links to tutorial or snippets would be awesome. My website if PHP based so can make it work with PHP if posible. Thanks

    Okay so the following line returns null because its path cannot be found: System.IO.FileInfo fi = di.GetFiles()[position]; What I am currently doing is: <asp:ScriptManager ID="ScriptManager1" runat="server"> </asp:ScriptManager> <ctl:Gallery runat="server" ID="Gallery1" FolderUrl="~/images/1/" Size="100" /> When this is invoked System.IO.FileInfo fi = di.GetFiles()[position]; it has the value similar to this: C:\Users\SomeUsername\Desktop\Tiamo\(S(mr1h0l55ycuixfbtqxbmttek))\images\1 Any idea how I can return the virtual path without actually having the session key in there?   • Return and Save XML Object From Sharepoint List Web Service

    I am trying to populate a variable with an XML response from an ajax call on page load so that on keyup I can filter through that list without making repeated get requests (think very rudimentary autocomplete). The trouble that I am having seems to be potentially related to variable scoping but I am fairly new to js/jQuery so I am not quite certain. The following code doesn't do anything on key up and adding alerts to it tells me that it is executing leadResults() on keyup and that the variable is returning an XML response object but it appears to be empty. The strange bit is that if I move the leadResults() call into the getResults() function the UL is populated with the results correctly.   • Google Drive Update keeps throwing an error when I try to save a thumbnail

    The Base64 string checks out fine. I was able to export it to another website and download it again as my image. When I try to do an update using the Drive Javascript api, it just keeps returning this error: Invalidvaluefor:Notavalidbase64bytestring I also true making the string URL safe. Per this page https://google-api-client-libraries.appspot.com/documentation/drive/v2/python/latest/drive_v2.files.html Am I doing something wrong here, the documentation says send Base64, the string is valid and, the string is intact throughout the process, but Google will not accept it? I am using the javascript api, I think there is maybe a bug sending the thumbnail using the javascript api.     Hi! I am developing application using J2EE (JSF,RichFaces, Jetty/Glashfish). Sometimes when I click on some link I get nothing returned to the browser at all (blank page). But when i refresh the page all contents appears in page. After some trail and error i found that it is cookies problem: It happens bez some old cookie not deleted by browser so this problem occurs. We also change web.xml file: but it creates more problem it doesn't maintain the session in application. Please friends if you have any suggestion on this problem help us.

    When a web form is submitted and takes the user to another page, it is quite often the case that the user will click the Back button in order to submit the form again (the form is an advanced search in my case.) How can I reliably preserve the form options selected by the user when they click Back (so they don't have to start from scratch with filling the form in again if they are only changing one of many form elements?)     Hello experts! I have created an app which allows users to buy non-consumable content. The retrieving-ids-payment-process works like a charm. What i can't really figure out is how my content should be saved into the phone. The existing structure is that I have all my current content in Resources/packages/. For every package there is an matching entry in a package.plist. When the purchase is complete it is time to download the content from the server. What i retrieve from the server is a zip file with the new package that I have bought. My observer will call a method named provideContent: -(void) provideContent: (NSString*) productIdentifier { In here I will call my server and download the package } What i need from you guys is some sort of step by step walkthrough or tutorial of how, when the zip is retrieved(is zip allowed?), unpack this zip and add it to my current package structure.   • Using Session Bean provided data on JSF welcome page

    I use JSF managed beans calling EJB methods that are provide data from database. I want to use some data already on the welcome page of the application. What is the best solution for it? EJBs are injected into JSF managed beans and it looks like the injection is done after executing the constructor. So I am not able to call EJB methods in the constructor. The normal place for EJB call is in the JSF action methods but how to call such a method prior to loding the first page of the application? A possible solution would be to call the EJB method conditionally in a getter that is used on the welcome page, for example: public List getProductList(){ if (this.productList == null) this.productList = myEJB.getProductList(); return this.productList; } Is there any better solution? For example, in some config file?

    Hi I am trying to highlight a part of the text on my website. This highlighted text will be saved for the specific user in a database and when the document is opened again it will show the previously highlighted text. I assumed I would be using javascript to highlight the text but I cannot seem to find a way to pinpoint where the word is that I am highlighting. function getSelText() { var txt = ''; if (window.getSelection) { txt = window.getSelection(); } else if (document.getSelection) { txt = document.getSelection(); } else if (document.selection) { txt = document.selection.createRange().text; } else return ""; return txt; } I am using that to get the selection but I cannot figure out where the selection is in the text. The biggest annoyance is when I have duplicates within the line or text so if I were to use search then I would find the first instance and not the one I was looking for. So the question is : How do you pinpoint a word or a selection in the entire document?

    Looking for advice on the best technique for saving complex Python data structures across program sessions. Here's a list of techniques I've come up with so far: pickle/cpickle json jsonpickle xml database (like SQLite) Pickle is the easiest and fastest technique, but my understanding is that there is no guarantee that pickle output will work across various versions of Python 2.x/3.x or across 32 and 64 bit implementations of Python. Json only works for simple data structures. Jsonpickle seems to correct this AND seems to be written to work across different versions of Python. Serializing to XML or to a database is possible, but represents extra effort since we would have to do the serialization ourselves manually. Thank you, Malcolm

    Hello All: I am an issue while converting "March 16-17" to DateTime and saving it to SQL server. "March 16-17" as it looks, read as March 16 to March 17, which in my case is invalid, but C# DateTime.TryParse() is treating "March 16 -17" as March 16, 2017 which is wrong, and saving the data in SQL server. SQL server treats "March 16-17" as invalid. So, can some body tell me how to use SQL server datetime validation in C#. Thanks Ashwani
