  • Watir::IE.attach(:title,/x/) not working correctly on Win 7 IE8

    System: Window 7 Internet Explorer 8 Ruby 1.8 Watir 1.6.5 If I manually open a browser window and then visit a site that causes a second browser window to open and then use the Watir::IE.attach method to find the second browser window everything work fine. The problem is when I open the first Internet Explorer window with the command Watir::IE.new and then visit a site that causes a second browser window to open. When I use Watir::IE.attach to find the second browser window I now get: Watir::Exception::NoMatchingWindowFoundException: Unable to location a window with title of (?-mix:x) from /ie-class.rb:297:in 'attach_browser_window' from /ie-class.rb:149:in '_attach_init' from /ie-class.rb:143:in 'attach' from (irb):15 Has anyone run into this problem and developed a solution?

Any ideeas?

  • Working with images in WCF

    Hi, I have a desktop application that needs to upload/download images to/from service computer over TCP Protocol. At first, I stored images in file system, but I need to in MS SQL DB to compare which solution is better. Number of images is over half a million. I don't know yet will there be any limitation on size of a photo. If you have done smth like that, please, write what your opinion upon this question. Which one is faster, more safe? Which of them works better with this number of photos? If I'll store on DB, do I need to store images apart from all other tables which I use for my application and which type works better - image or varbinary on DB?..and so on. Thank you.

    Hi Guys, I'm having a problem with the following situation. I have an ascx which contains a submit button for a search criteria and I am trying to call a validation function in a js file I've used throughout the site (this is the first time I'm using it in an ascx). Since I did that alert testing, I am getting the first alert, then nothing with no errors. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks

But if I press the login button the page just reloads itself, nothing happens. The codebehind on this page is empty.   • Struts2 Sitemesh not working in WAS 6 server

  • apache mod_proxy_html on Ubuntu ProxyHTMLEnable not working

    I'm trying to use mod_proxy_html on Ubuntu which I installed from apt-get. The module is loading properly and all ProxyHTML* directives work except for the one that matters the most. When I do "ProxyHTMLEnable on" in my apache2.conf or vhost conf files, apache complains that it's an invalid directive and I must have misspelled it. Is anyone else having this issue on Ubuntu and what can be done to fix it?

    I'm trying to make a small modification to django lfs project, that will allow me to deactivate products with no stocks. Unfortunatelly I'm just beginning to learn python, so I have big trouble with its syntax. That's what I'm trying to do. I'm using method 'has_variants' which returns true if product has any. Then I'm building a list from variants for this product. Next for every product in this list (I've called it 'set') I check it's stock and set bool variable 'inactive' to true if product has no stocks and to false if there are any.     Using devise 2.1.0 I am trying to send the new registration page a PricingPlan model. So in my routes I have: devise_scope :user do delete "/logout" => "devise/sessions#destroy" get "/login" => "devise/sessions#new" get "/signup/:plan" => "devise/registrations#new" end And I override the devise registration controller. With this in my routes.rb to make it work: devise_for :users, :controllers => {:registrations => "registrations"} In my actual Registration controller which overrides Devise's controller I have: class RegistrationsController < Devise::RegistrationsController view_paths = "app/views/devise" def new super @plan = PricingPlan.find_by_name(params[:plan]) end So that the default views still go to devise.... In my new view for the registration controller I call this: <h3>You've chosen the <%= @plan.name %> plan.</h3> And I get this error: undefined method `name' for nil:NilClass Also... in my PricingPlan model: class PricingPlan < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :users And in my User model: class User < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :pricing_plan I'm rather new at rails.

    I've written a little function to position a logo midway between the left hand side of the browser window and the (centered) navigation menu. The menu items are populated from a database, with the first item given the id item0. function positionLogo(){ var $menuleft=0; var $element=document.getElementById('item0'); if ($element.offsetParent) { do { $menuleft+=$element.offsetLeft; } while ($element=$element.offsetParent); } var $logoleft=($menuleft/2)-130; // As logo is 260px wide if ($logoleft<0) { $logoleft=0; } $('#logo').css('left',$logoleft); } $(document).ready(function(){ positionLogo(); }); $(window).resize(function(){ positionLogo(); }); This works fine when the window is resized, but when it first runs when the page is loaded, the position it sets is about 20px too far right (ie $logoleft is 20 more than it should be). As soon as the page is resized it jumps into the correct position. Haven't got it live anywhere at the moment but does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

  • Opencart not working

    I can go to http://www.sunnybrookfs.com/sstore/upload/ and it works awesome. But when I change the physical path in the basic settings for this website in the iis manager to the sstore/upload/ directory only text shows up. No images can be found or css style sheets. So basically www. sunnybrookfs. com/ goes to my xampp page, then I can access my OpenCart by going to http://www.sunnybrookfs.com/sstore/upload/. If I want www.sunnybrookfs.com to point to my store it does not work. Any suggestions? Thank you.

    Hi, I have added new Xib view file in my project. I assigned to view controller and in the view controller I set: - (BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientation { //return (interfaceOrientation == UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight); return YES; } But when the application runs in landscape mode, xib is not in landscape mode. I have set in info.plist file also xib file is also in landscape view. What do I have to do? Any help?

  • drupal's hook_preprocess_page not working as expected

    i am having an issue where hook_preprocess_page 's changes to &$variables is not being rendered, even though it is the last item under $theme_registry['page']['preprocess functions']. logging contents of $variables to a file show the contents changed, but contents appear unchanged on the site. flushed all cache on drupal, flushed all browser caches and still the same result. /** * Implementation of hook_preprocess_page(). */ function grinchlist_preprocess_page(&$variables) { if (grinchlist_usercheck($variables['user']['uid'])) { $variables['scripts'] = preg_replace('/<script[^>]*christmas_snow.*<\/script>/','',$variables['scripts']); } file_put_contents('/tmp/vars.txt',print_r($variables,true)); } the /tmp/vars.txt shows the variables properly, but the browser still show the script being loaded. this may be a silly example, but i've had this issue with the hook_preprocess_page in other instances and it would really help out to understand what is going on here... thanks.
