  • msxml XMLHTTPRequest and timeout

    Hi, what determins the timeout value for XMLHTTPRequest (msxml version) send method? I'm calling it from MS Sql server and the server profiler shows me 'completed' after 30 seconds, the same happens when calling it through client programm calling stored proc. I set the client connection timeout to 120 sec. So im thinking it must be msxml that cancels send method after 30 secs. Any ideas?

  • Where to change data for a "list" datasource in dashcode?

    I created a new project in dashcode and it automatically generated a mobile web app for me with a list and sample datasources. I see two datasources, one is labeled as "datasource" and the other is "list". However I can see that the actual data in datasources is in a js file, everything is good but where is the actual data stored for "list"? The sample application came with a bunch of data for "list" and I am unable to change it. Any ideas?

  • sharepoint search is not working

    Hi all, I have an issue with SharePoint search. The situation The server is installed with SharePoint on a farm with 2 servers. A new app pool is created and that app pool is using a domain account called moss_service. moss_service is set to be in the administrator group in both server. moss_service is also set to be the db_creator in the content database. When I checked it initially, the search's default content access account is using another different account, I changed that to be using moss_service account. I didn't do IIS reset because this is a production server, they dont want frequent iis reset. Strangely, checking the services.msc under "office sharepoint server search" the account is still using an old one. (and apparently it's only running on 1 server, the other server is not running) I then change that to the following: domain\moss_service with the password. and then I rerun the crawl. How do I diagnose the issue Basically everytime I change something I restart the crawl and then check the event viewer. Multiple things come out but the following is the major ones: The start address cannot be crawled. The password for the content access account cannot be decrypted because it was stored with different credentials. Re-type the password for the account used to crawl this content. (0x80042406) Performance monitoring cannot be initialized for the gatherer object, because the counters are not loaded or the shared memory object cannot be opened. This only affects availability of the perfmon counters. Restart the computer. Access is denied. Check that the Default Content Access Account has access to this content, or add a crawl rule to crawl this content. (0x80041205) Crawl Logs Result The crawl log is showing this: The password for the content access account cannot be decrypted because it was stored with different credentials. Re-type the password for the account used to crawl this content. I tried changing it again at service.mstsc and the rerun the full crawl again but then it doesn't work. I have tried entering it using the following way: [email protected] and domain\moss_service My Questions are: How do I fix this? Is this the right way to setup the search? Does the search account has to be using a different domain account? Seemed like one fix complicates the other, how do I set this right? Is it worth it to upgrade to sp2?

Thus, I do not want this property written out directly but via my own code. I basically want to create a facade/proxy for this property such that I may use the underlying membership provider or a custom stored procedure. I want to accomplish without modifying the LINQ-TO-SQL designer generated code, if at all possible.

  • Prevent Custom Entity being deleted from Entity Framework during Update Model Wizard

    In Entity Framework v1 If you create a Custom Entity to map it to a Stored Procedure during FunctionImport and then Select "Update Model from Database" the Update Model Wizard removes the Custom Entity (as added Manually in the SSDL XML prior to functionImport) from the SSDL. Does anyone know if this limitation has been dealt with Entity Framework v4? I mean is there a way to prevent the Wizard from removing the Custom Entity from the Storage Schema (SSDL) during Model Update from Database????

    Hi All, We currently receive parameters of values as VARCHAR's, and then build a date from them. I am wanting to confirm that the method would stop the possibility of SQL injection from this statement: select CONVERT(datetime, '2010' + '-' + '02' + '-' + '21' + ' ' + '15:11:38.990') Another note is that the actual parameters being passed through to the stored proc are length bound at (4, 2, 2, 10, 12) in correspondence to the above.   • Scripting an automated SQLServer 2008 DR move

    Hi All We use the built in logshipping in SQLServer to logship to our DR site but once in a month do a DR test which requires us to move back and forth between our Live and BAckup servers. We run multiple (30) databases on the system so manually backing up the final logs and disabling the jobs is too much work and takes too long. I though no problem, I will script it but have run into trouble with it always complaninig that the final logship is too early to apply even though I dont export the final log until putting the database into norecovery mode. Firstly, does any one no a simple and reliable way of doing this? I have lokoed at some 3rd party software (redgate sqlbackup I think it was) but that didnt make it easy in this situation either. What I want to be able to do is basically run a script (a series of stored procedures) to get me to DR and run another to get me back with no dataloss. My scripts are very simplistic at the moment but here they are: 2 servers Primary Paris Secondary ParisT The StartAgentJobAndWait is a script written by someone else (ta) and just checks the jobs have finished or quits it if it never ends.   • SSIS package randomly hangs during execution

    Hi Guys, I am having an ongoing and painful problem with an SSIS package. The package runs every 5 minutes as an SQL Agent Job and every 2-10 days the package will start running and never stop (thus preventing further executions). If I stop the hung job manually it will begin working perfectly again in the next 5 minute interval. The SSIS package is for moving data from an Oracle database to a MSSQL 2005 database. It has 7 steps: Step 1 calls an Oracle Stored Procedure to prepare the temporary tables inside ORACLE Steps 2-6 process the data from the ORACLE tables to the MSSQL tables ORACLE - MSSQL Step 7 calls an Oracle Stored Procedure to clear the ORACLE temporary tables I suspect that the issue is caused by a communications error between the MSSQL server and the ORACLE server. Both the MSSQL database and Agent/package run on one machine with the ORACLE database running over the network.     Here's the code that I use to extract the icon size that I want: Dim i As Icon = My.Resources.Spectrum Using i2 As New Icon(i, New Size(256, 256)) Me.PictureBox1.Image = i2.ToBitmap End Using This works from 16x16 up to 128x128 but for 256x256 it extracts the 128x128 icon. I tried 0x0, because I seem to remember that that is how the large size is stored in the meta data, but that didn't work either.

    Hi All, I'm trying to create a mysql UDF function , this function calls "fopen/fclose" to read a flat file stored in /data. But using errno (yes, I know it is bad in a MT program...) I can see that the function cannot open my file: "Permission denied" I tried to do a chmod -R 755 /data but it didn't change anything. Any idea ?

I want to create a property on my objective-C class (which inherits from NSObject) that will map well to the 'completed_at' attribute. Objective-C has an NSDate type but I'm not sure if that will map directly?

  • Float PPM image file format?

    I've found a PPM image with the header starting with PF. The resolution number is stored in floating point (-1.000). No comments are inserted to get how it was produced. From the resolution, each pixel is composed by 12 bytes (4 bytes per component)... I suppose they are float or integer numbers. The problem is that I cannot get a clear image. Someone has already found this kind of images?

    Is there a quick and easy way to update my LINQ dbml files? Right now, if I update a Stored Procedure, I need to open the dbml designer file, delete the old SP, save, drag and drop the new SP, and save again. I haven't researched this a whole bunch, but I'm wondering if there's an easy way for Visual Studio to just go into the DB and update the dbml to the latest SP's by just clicking an update button or something along those lines.

  • gnuplot: x11 terminal in "interactive mode" while calling gnuplot from shell

    Hey there, I want to call gnuplot with a shell command, all the commands are stored in, let's say, "load.gp". If I start the gnuplot shell and type "load 'load.gp'" I can change the viewpoint by dragging the splot with the mouse around. The Problem is, I can't figure out how to reach that without being in the gnuplot shell. echo "load 'load.gp'" | gnuplot -persist or gnuplot -persist 'load.gp' won't work. Can somebody help me?
