Now I pass an NSError object, like this: NSError *error = nil; BOOL ok = [self validateCompanyName:@"Apple" error:&error]; I'm not sure if this matches the check for not NULL. I think it's not NULL, since I believe NULL is not nil. Maybe someone can clear this up?

    Is there any method or plugin available that will alert the user to upgrade an app if the version they are using is not the latest? I suppose I could ping a web service to check what the current version is and compare with the user's version and go from there. As an aside, is there a way to check the current version of the app (some property I don't know about) or do you simply have to hardcode the version as some float variable or something? Thanks

    I have a web part which uses validation on a textbox field to prevent submission of an empty field. When clicking on Check In to Share Draft or Publish, this validation is done, and since I am not actually trying to submit the form, but rather check it in, I'd rather this didn't happen. How can I achieve this?     I am trying to format currency that will always contain 2 decimal digits, but if there are extra digits of accuracy to display up to five.     After decoding the special character &nbsp; with the html_entity_decode function, I get spaces in replace of &nbsp; entities. My problem is when I check if if ($decoded_str[5] == ' ') it isn't true, though in $decoded_str[5] there is a space that was &nbsp; before decoding. How to settle the matter? I need to be able to check it like this way: if ($decoded_str[5] == ' ')
