  • How to set ReceiveBufferSize for UDPClient? or Does it make sense to set? C#

    Hello all. I am implementing a UDP data transfer thing. I have several questions about UDP buffer. I am using UDPClient to do the UDP send / receive. and my broadband bandwidth is 150KB/s (bytes/s, not bps). I send out a 500B datagram out to 27 hosts 27 hosts send back 10KB datagram back if they receive. So, I should receive 27 responses, right? however, I only get averagely 8 - 12 instead. I then tried to reduce the size of the response down to 500B, yes, I receive all. A thought of mine is that if all 27 hosts send back 10KB response at almost same time, the incoming traffic will be 270KB/s (likely), that exceeds my incoming bandwidth so loss happens. Am I right? But I think even if the incoming traffic exceeds the bandwidth, is the Windows supposed to put the datagram in the buffer and wait for receive? I then suspect that maybe the ReceiveBufferSize of my UdpClient is too small? by default, it is 8092B?? I don't know whether I am all right at these points. Please give me some help.

    I am trying to make a form on one page that uses multiple models. The models reference each other. I am having trouble getting the form to validate because I cant figure out how to get the id of two of the models used in the form into the form to validate it. If started process completes within 1 second, main program capture its output for further processing. If it doesn't finishes in 1 second, main program just terminate it and start another new process.     I used a tutorial about listview parsing xm from internet and using LasyAdapter shows the items in listview. When I add persian characters in xml (into one of childnodes) the result is some boxes in listview (after showing the text in listview). The format of xml is UTF-8, too. I used typeface too (but didn't work). Besides when I type Pwesian into the application it shows alright but it can't show Persiann content parsed from xml. Thanks in advance.     Hi all Yes, I know GZipStream or DeflateStream is the common ones in .NET Framework which handle compression/decompression. I wish to have compress/decompress functions in my program, but I wish a .NET Framework C# one, not a 3rd party open source. I can't use because of those copyright restrictions in my program. GZipStream and DeflateStream are not so good. for e.g., GZipStream compress a file to 480KB while 7Zip compress the same file to the size of 57KB. Does Microsoft have other good compression methods??? Thanks

Let's say I have query that returns the following 3 records (kept to one column for simplicity): Tom Jack Tom And I want to have those results grouped by the name and also include the fraction (ratio) of the occurrence of that name out of the total records returned. So, the desired result would be (as two columns): Tom | 2/3 Jack | 1/3 How would I go about it? Determining the numerator is pretty easy (I can just use COUNT() and GROUP BY name), but I'm having trouble translating that into a ratio out of the total rows returned. Any help is much appreciated!

For one, when I add 0 to a queue and then I output the queue like so.. Queue<double> qdub; qdub.enqueue(0); cout << qdub << endl; That works, it will output 0. But for example, if I modify that queue in any way.. like.. assign it to a different queue.. Queue<double> qdub1; Queue<double> qdub2; qdub1.enqueue(0; qdub2 = qdub1; cout << qdub2 << endl; It will give me weird values for 0 like.. 7.86914e-316. Help on this would be much appreciated!

  • Not able to pass multiple override parameters using nose-testconfig 0.6 plugin in nosetests

    Hi, I am able to override multiple config parameters using nose-testconfig plugin only if i pass the overriding parameters on commandline. e.g. nosetests -c nose.cfg -s --tc=jack.env1:asl --tc=server2.env2:abc But when I define the same thing inside nose.cfg, than only the value for last parameter is modified. e.g. tc = server2.env2:abc tc = jack.env1:asl I checked the plugin code. It looks fine to me.   • CompositeDataBoundControl - databound values overwritten before event is fired due to DummyDataSourc

    I have a custom servercontrol that inherits from CompositeDataBoundControl. I have three templates: one header template, one footer template and one item template. The item template can contain a checkbox that I use to decide if I should delete the item. In the footer and/or header templates I have a button with a CommandName of "DeleteItem". When that button is clicked, I handle the event in OnBubbleEvent: if (cea.CommandName == "DeleteItem") { //loop through the item list and get the selected rows List<int> itemsToDelete = new List<int>(); foreach(Control c in this.Controls){ if (c is ItemData) { ItemData oid = (ItemData)c; CheckBox chkSel = (CheckBox)oid.FindControl("chkSelected"); if (chkSel.Checked) { itemsToDelete.Add(oid.Item.Id); } } } foreach (int id in itemsToDelete) { DeleteItem(id); } } } The problem is that Item is null since the CreateChildControls method already has been run as asp.net needs to recreate the control hierarchy before the event fire. It uses the DummyDataSource and a list of null objects to recreate the control hierarchy: IEnumerator e = dataSource.GetEnumerator(); if (e != null) { while (e.MoveNext()) { ItemData container = new ItemData (e.Current as OrderItem); ITemplate itemTemplate = this.ItemTemplate; if (itemTemplate == null) { itemTemplate = new DefaultItemTemplate(); } itemTemplate.InstantiateIn(container); Controls.Add(container); if (dataBinding) { container.DataBind(); } counter++; } } The problem is this line: ItemData container = new ItemData (e.Current as OrderItem); When the control hierarchy is rebuilt before the event is fired, the e.Current is null, so when I try to find out which item was marked for deletion, I get 0 since the original value has been overwritten. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
