  • Cannot get admob working: configChanges error

    I know there are some topics about it, but the reason I start this one is I appear not to be able to solve it with solutions given. I want to add admob to my project. I downloaded GoogleAdMobAdsSdk-6.2.1 and added it to my project. When I startup it says You must have AdActivity declared in AndroidManifest with configChanges. So solution found, set it to: android:configChanges="keyboard|keyboardHidden|orientation|screenLayout|uiMode|screenSize|smallestScreenSize" and <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="3" android:targetSdkVersion="15" /> Clean it, try again. But now I get an error saying following although my targetSdkVersion is set to be min 12, I really don't know why I am still getting this error: String types not allowed (at 'configChanges' with value 'keyboard|keyboardHidden|orientation| screenLayout|uiMode|screenSize|smallestScreenSize') Any ideas on this? There might be another setting wrong which I looked over?

  • Getting the location in Android programatically

    I know this has been asked a ton, so my apologies. I have the following code, and cannot get the location, always a null response. I am trying to avoid a LocationListener in this instance because I am already using an update Service, and the location really doesn't have to be that fine, so the last known location is good enough.   • What's making my page extend slightly beyond the viewport? [CSS]

    Basically I'm a tad confused. You'll see at http://furnace.howcode.com , in the second column, the bottom scrollbar button is extended slightly beyond the end of the viewport. I'm pretty confused as I've been examining the CSS and can't find anything that's causing this. Can you have a look? It's probably something simple that I've just missed! :) Screenshot:

  • CSS Experts required - problems with Z-Index stack in my page design

    Howdy y'all! Basically I'm having some problems with Z-Index. Although I'm not amazing at CSS I would reckon I was reasonably good, but really can't work this out. You'll see at the URL... http://howcode.com/code/ ... that my problem is that links in the returned 'Popular' results aren't clickable or anything. I've concluded this is due to their Z-Index being messed up. I had to fiddle and tweak with Z-Index to get the tabs - Popular, Top Rated, Featured etc. - to show above the codebg div. When I adjusted the Z-Index so that the results were definitely on top, they acted as normal - text could be selected, the ratings images hovered, etc. etc. However the downside to this was that my Popular, Top Rated, Featured tabs were all placed BENEATH the background image for the returned results. If anyone can post a workaround or alteration to my CSS that would be much appreciated. Please don't forget this is a test site and design and any other URLs are likely not to work, I haven't uploaded any database configs yet or whatever!     Hi I need the following php script to do a currency conversion using a different XML file. Its a script from white-hat design http://www.white-hat-web-design.co.uk/articles/php-currency-conversion.php The script needs to be amended to do the following: 1, The php script downloads every 24 hours an xml file from rss.timegenie.com/foreign_exchange_rates_forex rss.timegenie.com/forex.xml rss.timegenie.com/forex2.xml 2, It then stores the xml file data/contents to a mysql database file ie currency and rate. Any advice would be appreciated.

  • Interesting LinqToSql behaviour

    We have a database table that stores the location of some wave files plus related meta data. There is a foreign key (employeeid) on the table that links to an employee table. However not all wav files relate to an employee, for these records employeeid is null. We are using LinqToSQl to access the database, the query to pull out all non employee related wav file records is as follows: var results = from Wavs in db.WaveFiles where Wavs.employeeid == null; Except this returns no records, despite the fact that there are records where employeeid is null. On profiling sql server i discovered the reason no records are returned is because LinqToSQl is turning it into SQL that looks very much like: SELECT Field1, Field2 //etc FROM WaveFiles WHERE 1=0 Obviously this returns no rows. However if I go into the DBML designer and remove the association and save. All of a sudden the exact same LINQ query turns into SELECT Field1, Field2 //etc FROM WaveFiles WHERE EmployeeID IS NULL I.e. if there is an association then LinqToSql assumes that all records have a value for the foreign key (even though it is nullable and the property appears as a nullable int on the WaveFile entity) and as such deliverately constructs a where clause that will return no records. Does anyone know if there is a way to keep the association in LinqToSQL but stop this behaviour. A workaround i can think of quickly is to have a calculated field called IsSystemFile and set it to 1 if employeeid is null and 0 otherwise. However this seems like a bit of a hack to work around strange behaviour of LinqToSQl and i would rather do something in the DBML file or define something on the foreign key constraint that will prevent this behaviour.

    I'm trying to make a one to one relationship in a MySQL DB. I'm using the InnoDB engine and the basic table looks like this: CREATE TABLE `foo` ( `fooID` INT(11) NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY AUTO_INCREMENT, `name` TEXT NOT NULL ) CREATE TABLE `bar` ( `barName` VARCHAR(100) NOT NULL, `fooID` INT(11) NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY, CONSTRAINT `contact` FOREIGN KEY (`fooID`) REFERENCES `foo`(`fooID`) ) Now once I have set up these I alter the foo table so that the fooID also becomes a foreign key to the fooID in bar. The only issue I am facing with this is that there will be a integrity issue when I try to insert into either. I would like some help, thanks.

    I've got my database set up with three tables - code, tags, and code_tags for tagging posts. This will be the SQL query processed when a post is submitted. Each tag is sliced up by PHP and individually inserted using these queries. INSERT IGNORE INTO tags (tag) VALUES ('$tags[1]'); SELECT tags.id FROM tags WHERE tag = '$tags[1]' ORDER BY id DESC LIMIT 1; INSERT INTO code_tags (code_id, tag_id) VALUES ($codeid, WHAT_GOES_HERE?) The WHAT_GOES_HERE? value at the end is what I need to know. It needs to be the ID of the tag that the second query fetched. How can I put that ID into the third query? I hope I explained that correctly. I'll rephrase if necessary.

  • Having trouble parsing XML with jQuery

    Hi Guys, I'm trying to parse some XML data using jQuery, and as it stands I have extracted the 'ID' attribute of the required nodes and stored them in an array, and now I want to run a loop for each array member and eventually grab more attributes from the notes specific to each ID. The problem currently is that once I get to the 'for' loop, it isn't looping, and I think I may have written the xml path data incorrectly. It runs once and I recieve the 'alert(arrayIds.length);' only once, and it only loops the correct amount of times if I remove the subsequent xml path code.   • Creating a Group of Groups in Django

    I'm creating my own Group model; I'm not referring to the builtin Group model. I want each hroup to be a member of another group (it's parent), but there is the one "top" group that doesn't have a parent group. The admin interface won't let me create a group without entering a parent. I get the error personnel_group.parent_id may not be NULL. My Group model looks like this: class Group(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=50) parent = models.ForeignKey('self', blank=True, null=True) order = models.IntegerField() icon = models.ImageField(upload_to='groups', blank=True, null=True) description = models.TextField(blank=True, null=True) How can I accomplish this?   • GUI blocked while running silent app VC++

    Hi, I have built a GUI interface in C++ (Windows XP, visual c++ 2008). There you can configure some parameters and when I click on the OK button, a silent application is launched (and uses the values setted). When I do this, the GUI frozes and even dissappears if you switch to other windows(it's still there, but you can only see a white space), when the other application's finished the GUI works again. This is the correct behaviour, I don't want the user to be able to edit the fields... but it's a bit ugly when you can't see the GUI. Does anybody know an easy way of being able to switch to other windows and being able to see the the GUI when you switch back? Thanks in advance Edited: Hi, I tried doing this, but the problem is that to run the apps in background I had a function that uses CreateProcess. So both ways the GUI gets frozen: if I create a Thread that creates the process and if I creathe the process directly.     Hi, I am curious, do new compilers use some extra features built into new CPUs such as MMX SSE,3DNow! and so? I mean, in original 8086 there was even no FPU, so compiler that old cannot even use it, but new compilers can, since FPU is part of every new CPU. So, does new compilers use new features of CPU? Or, it should be more right to ask, does new C/C++ standart library functions use new features? Thanks for answer.

  • Zend Framework: The form filter I am using is not filtering!

    So I have a form that is using the Zend_Filter_Null filter.
