• Extracting data from Visual FoxPro databases

  I just got some 20Gb of data in a Visual FoxPro database with a custom frontend probably written in the same framework, and need to extract that data in any well-known format. I don't know anything about VFP in particular, but as it is SQL, there should be a way of opening an SQL console, or maybe an vfpdump utility. How can I do that? Everything I have now are a bunch of obscure binary files and a frontend executable.

• SVN Connection Not Successful

  I am getting the following message when attempting to connect to our company's SVN repository - the same error occurs whether I try from the OSX command line or Eclipse. Any ideas on where to troubleshoot?   Hi security experts, I read from here that: On a local computer, an administrator can configure the application to run as Local Service, Network Service, or Local System. These service accounts are simple to configure and use but are typically shared among multiple applications and services and cannot be managed on a domain level. I just don't understand why these accounts cannot be managed on a domain level, since they all have well-known SIDs? Thanks for your time.

I have the following in my .ssh/config Host aliasname Hostname 12.34.56.78 User username IdentityFile /path/to/cert.pem Then when I enter ssh aliasname it says: ssh: Could not resolve hostname aliasname: Name or service not known. Have I missed something?

  Are their any known issues with storing employee photos in AD provided you store them in the compliant sizes and formats? Is there a critical mass that you break or could corrupt AD databases? • External WiFi Adapter for Eee PC 1000?

  I have an original Eee PC 1000 running the stock Xandros. I have run into problems where the internal WiFi card does not seem to have enough sensitivity to connect to a lot of access points. Although the computer will report APs in the area, unless the signal strength is over 80% (as reported by the Wireless networks application) I cannot seem get a connection. So is there a recommended USB WiFi adapter that is known to work with the Eee PC/Xandros system or in general with a Debian based system?

• Possible to bypass laptop inverter power source - HP dv5000 inverter 7 input pins?

  I've got an HP dv5000 laptop with a backlight that won't light up, (but is known to be good). I've also got an inverter board which is good, but isn't getting power from the mobo. So, my question is, would it be possible to bypass the original power source, and hack together some type of externally powered input just for the backlight? If so, does anybody know the input voltage and meaning for the 7 input pins for the inverter board, or how to find out?

  I'm looking for a desktop board that supports either VT-D (Intel) or IOMMU (AMD) technology. This is the IO virtualization technology, not VT-x for CPU virtualization. I've found a list of chipsets that are purported to have this, but every board I look at, the vendor has decided to not support that feature. I would really prefer a desktop board over a server board for this. Does anyone have a specific model that is known to support this technology?

  Scenario: SQL Server 2005 or 2008, Windows 2008 OS. Running in a VM hosted on VMWare ESX server. Is there any known issue with VMWare when it caches pass-through write request and it never reaches the disk, while SQL Server "thinks" that write actually happened? This may lead to transaction log corruption in case of power failure or VM reboot. Just overheard the conversation but couldn't find it in relation to ESX.
