• Unit and Functional testing iPhone code?

  I just sat in on a seminar about developing apps for the iPhone. The speaker told me that there is NOTHING available for writing unit tests or functional tests for your iPhone software. Is this true? Is there really no testing story for the iPhone as of now?

• iPhone -- MKReverseGeocoder.adminstrativeArea -- getting state abbreviation

  In the documentation for MKReverseGeocoder, the administrativeArea property gives you the current state the user is in, and it mentions in an example that it returns EITHER the state name OR its abbreviation. I am wondering if anyone knows how to get the abbreviation instead of the full state name...I have been able to find nothing that shows this is even a possibility besides that brief example that doesn't mention HOW.   I have a master page which references a style in the following manner: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../../Content/Style.css" /> All my pages inherit from this master page. And this works well when the URL is http://www.domain.com/home/details/5, however the URL is http://www.domain.com/home/create, then, of course, Style.css cannot be found because `../../Content/Style.css' resolves to a directory one higher where there is nothing there. How is this typically handled?

• Using Blowfish Encryption within .NET

  I am working on a project where I need to undertake Blowfish encryption and decryption. Is there anything out there that others are using to do this within but cannot find anything within a .NET C# environment? • ClickOnce in Release mode doesn't publish

  Just doing some testing/prototyping with ClickOnce. Does anyone know why I can publish with CLickOnce when its set to 'debug' mode but not when its set to 'release' mode? I dont even get an error message for the latter. The output folder remains empty as nothing has happened. Once I switch to Debug mode and do the publishing everything is fine. Any idea? Thanks

• How do I debug an MPI program?

  I have an MPI program which compiles and runs, but I would like to step through it to make sure nothing bizarre is happening. Ideally, I would like a simple way to attach GDB to any particular process, but I'm not really sure whether that's possible or how to do it. An alternative would be having each process write debug output to a separate log file, but this doesn't really give the same freedom as a debugger. Are there better approaches? How do you debug MPI programs?

• UITableView Question. How do I preselect a tableView cell?

  I assumed that the correct way to preselect a cell in a table view was: - (void)selectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath animated:(BOOL)animated scrollPosition:(UITableViewScrollPosition)scrollPosition However it does absolutely nothing. Nadda. For context I am building an iPad app and the tableview is deployed from a Popover ViewController. So the tableView is only visible when deployed. I am currently calling the above method in: - (void)viewDidAppear:(BOOL)animated; Any thoughts? Thanks, Doug

  I currently have a site that is a sidescroller (http://www.studioimbrue.com) and I'm trying to bind a mousewheel to scroll sideways. Currently I'm using the one found at thehorizontalway.com but it doesn't seem to work in all browsers (Chrome). I'm trying to get this one to work: http://brandonaaron.net/code/mousewheel/docs , to simply scroll the whole window, nothing else. There is very limited documentation so I can't figure it out. • Plugins not working in Eclipse on Windows 7 64-bit

  On my brand new Windows 7 machine, I downloaded Eclipse (Galileo) and several Eclipse plugins (Android's ADT plugin, Subclipse, etc.) After rebooting, neither of these plugins are showing up in the IDE (nothing in the preferences, menus, etc.) but if I click "Installation Details" in the 'About Eclipse' popup, I see all of the plugins listed as Installed Software. (ex. Android DDMS 0.9.5, Subclipse 1.6.5, etc.) How do I get my plugins to work?

• i can't seem to get jquery ui multiselect plugin work with ajax

  i take a regular multiselect listbox and convert it to a jquery ui multiselect listbox by calling this: $(".multiSelectMe").multiselect(); As per the API, i call this method in the return of an ajax function $(".multiSelectMe").multiselect("select", "Item 1"); but nothing seems to happen. i can't figure out a way to have this programatically add items within an ajax call. i was thinking there was maybe another "refresh" method or something like that but i can't find any.

• IIS is closing connection on dynamic content

  there is a strange problem i am facing, if any of you might have seen before i have freshly install OS (Windows 2003 SP2) and just have configured IIS on it...and on the default site...the static content say hello.htm is working fine...but any dynamic content like hello.asp (classic asp) or hello.aspx (asp.net) is not working if i telnet and issue http headers manually...for static content it works...but for dynamic content...IIS is basically forcefully closing the connection there's nothing in event logs any clues....?

• Problem with the way the Ajax Control Toolkit TabContainer sets the default submit button

  We have an Ajax Control Toolkit TabContainer containing some textboxes for doing a search. When you keypress inside one of the textboxes, the TabContainer sets the default button to be the button immediately following the tab control. This is fine because that's the search button. The problem occurs after the button is clicked and results returned. Now there is no default button, and keypress does nothing. Any suggestions?

  I'm writing an Air application using only Actionscript, and Flex3 SDK as the compiler. Everything compiles and runs fine under adl, but when the final air file is built and installed, the main class is never initialized. For instance: package { import flash.display.Sprite; public class main extends Sprite { public function main() { trace("Init"); } } } When run under ADL, "Init" will be output to the console, but when installed and run, nothing happens (the constructor for class main is never called).

  i have an editor that is basic microsoft actions: "createlink" "bold" etc. i made page to handle the youtube embeding and it works fine on the website. but in the editor all i can see is the rectangle of the video with nothing in it. the editor is an iframe editable that get the content from another page - if i load that page the youtube is there but inside the editor - is not working. did anybody got that somewhen?

• VSLauncher starts wrong version

  I have 3 versions of Visual Studio installed, and 3 projects that require a specific version. VSLauncher USED to look at the SLN or VCPROJ file and open the correct version of Visual Studio. Now it only starts the most recent version, regardless of the project. Note that this has nothing to do with the commonly reported problem with beta versions of VS. none of the SLNs have ever been touched by a beta VS.

• SSRS date default with formula disables parameter

  When I set a default value formula for a date parameter in SSRS, such as: =CDate(”01/” & Month(Now) & “/” & Year(Now)) or even: =Now The date parameter control becomes disables with nothing in it. Anyone know what simple thing (I am sure) I am doing wrong?
