• using XSL to replace XML nodes with new nodes

  I need an XSL solution to replace XML nodes with new nodes. Say I have the following existing XML structure: <root> <criteria> <criterion>AAA</criterion> </criteria> </root> And I want to replace the one criterion node with: <criterion>BBB</criterion> <criterion>CCC</criterion> <criterion>DDD</criterion> So that the final XML result is: <root> <criteria> <criterion>BBB</criterion> <criterion>CCC</criterion> <criterion>DDD</criterion> </criteria> </root> I have tried using substring-before and substring-after to just copy the first half of the structure, then just copy the second half (in order to fill in my new nodes in between the two halves) but it appears that the substring functions only recognize text in between the nodes' tags, and not the tags themselves like I want them to. :( :( Any other solutions?

• Deploying Application with mvc in shared hosting server

  We have created an MVC web application in asp.net 3.5, it runs absolutely fine locally but when we deploy it on godaddy hosting server (shared hosting), it shows an error which is related to trust level problem. We contacted godaddy support and they say, that we only support medium trust level application. So how to convert my application in medium trust level. Do I need to make changes to web.config file.   I got everything worked now by list of server Name but I want to add a IF statement by checking a column from SQL Server called Compliance by either True or False value listed. If it False, the Name will change text color to Red. If it True, the Name won't change text color. I am not sure how add that in VB codes side. • Is it possible to read data that has been separately copied to the Android sd card without having ro

  I am developing an application that needs to access data on the sd card. When I run on my development device (an odroid with Android 2.1) I have root access and can construct the path using: File sdcard = Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory(); String path = sdcard.getAbsolutePath() + File.separator + "mydata" File data = new File(path); File[] files = data.listFiles(new FilenameFilter() { @Override public boolean accept(File dir, String filename) { return filename.toLowerCase().endsWith(".xyz"); }}); However, when I install this on a phone (2.1) where I do not have root access I get files == null. I assume this is because I do not have the right permissions to read the data from the sd card. I also get files == null when just trying to list files on /sdcard. So the same applies without my constructed path. Also, this app is not intended to be distributed through the app store and is needs to use data copied separately to the sd card so this is a real use-case. It is too much data to put in res/raw (I have tried, it did not work). I have also tried adding: <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE" /> to the manifest, even though I only want to read the sd card, but it did not help. I have not found a permission type for reading the storage. There is probably a correct way to do this, but I haven't been able to find it. Any hints would be useful.

  I have adapted the example plugin of the android source and the browser recognises the plugin without any problem. But I get lot's of debug trace of the actual libnpplugin.so file I'm using. So the puzzle is when and under what circumstance is the Service bound or created in case of a browser plugin. As things look the service seems to be a dummy service. Having said that, is there another intent that can be executed at installation time probably? The only solution I see right now is installing the needed files from the native plugin code instead. Any ideas? I know this is quite a tricky question ;)

  I've done my SO and Google research, and haven't found anyone who has tackled this before, or at least, anyone who has written about it. My question is, given a "universal" tree of arbitrary height, with each node able to have an arbitrary number of branches, is there a way to uniquely (and efficiently) "fingerprint" arbitrary sub-trees starting from the "universal" tree's root, such that given the universal tree and a tree's fingerprint, I can reconstruct the original tree? For instance, I have a "universal" tree (forgive my poor illustrations), representing my universe of possibilities: Root / / / | \ \ ... \ O O O O O O O (Level 1) /|\/|\...................\ (Level 2) etc. I also have tree A, a rooted subtree of my universe Root / /|\ \ O O O O O / Etc. Is there a way to "fingerprint" the tree, so that given that fingerprint, and the universal tree, I could reconstruct A? I'm thinking something along the lines of a hash, a compression, or perhaps a functional/declarative construction? Big-O analysis (in time or space) is a plus. As a for-instance, a nested expression like: {{(Root)},{(1),(2),(3)},{(2,3),(1),(4,5)}...} representing the actual nodes present at each level in the tree is probably valid, but can it be done more efficiently?

  By reading some tutorials online I used these commands: Make a local group: net localgroup CopsshUsers /ADD Deny access to this group at top level: cacls c:\ /c /e /t /d CopsshUsers Open access to the copSSH installation directory: cacls copssh-inst-dir /c /e /t /r CopsshUsers Add Copssh user to the group above: net localgroup CopsshUsers mysshuser /add simply put these commands will try to create a usergroup that has no permission on your computer and it only have access to the copSSH Installation directory. This is not true, since you cannot change the permission on your windows directory, the third command won't remove access to windows folder (it says access denied on his log). Somehow I achieved that by taking ownership of Windows folder and then i execute the third command so CopsshUsers has no permissions on windows folder from now on. Now i tried to SSH to the server and it simply can't login! this is kind of funny because with permission on windows directory you can login and without it you can't!! So if you CAN SSH to the server somehow you know that you have access to the windows directory! (Is this really true??) Simple task: Limiting ssh user account only to access his home directory on WINDOWS and nothing else! Guys please help!

The directory /srv/http has the following permissions set: drwxrwxr-x 2 root httpdev 80 Jun 13 11:48 ./ drwxr-xr-x 6 root root 152 Mar 26 13:56 ../ -rwxrwxr-x 1 root httpdev 8 Jun 13 11:48 index.html* I have created the group httpdev before with the command: groupadd httpdev and added my user sighter with: gpasswd -a sighter httpdev Then i have set the permissions as above using the chown and chmod commands. But now i am not allowed to modify the index.html file or create a new file, as user sighter ,with touch like that: <sighter [bassment] ~http> touch hallo.php touch: cannot touch `hallo.php': Permission denied What do I understand wrong. I was expecting that i can do what i want there then the group has all the rights. • Cannot write to SD card -- canWrite is returning false

  Sorry for the ambiguous title but I'm doing the following to write a simple string to a file: try { File root = Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory(); if (root.canWrite()){ System.out.println("Can write."); File def_file = new File(root, "default.txt"); FileWriter fw = new FileWriter(def_file); BufferedWriter out = new BufferedWriter(fw); String defbuf = "default"; out.write(defbuf); out.flush(); out.close(); } else System.out.println("Can't write."); }catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } But root.canWrite() seems to be returning false everytime. I am not running this off of an emulator, I have my android Eris plugged into my computer via USB and running the app off of my phone via Eclipse. Is there a way of giving my app permission so this doesn't happen? Also, this code seems to be create the file default.txt but what if it already exists, will it ignore the creation and just open it to write or do I have to catch something like FileAlreadyExists(if such an exception exists) which then just opens it and writes? • Which tools to use and how to find file descriptors leaking from Glassfish?

  We release new code to production every week and Glassfish hasn't had any problems. This weekend we had to move racks at our hosting provider. There were not any code changes (they just powered off, moved, re-racked and powered on) but we're on a new network infrastructure and suddenly we're leaking file descriptors like a sieve. So I'm guessing there is some sort of connection attempting to be made which now fails due to a network change. I'm running Glassfish v2ur2-b04/AS9.1_02 on RHEL4 with an embedded IMQ instance. [#|2010-04-25T05:34:03.327+0000|WARNING|sun-appserver9.1|javax.enterprise.system.stream.err|_ThreadID=34;_ThreadName=Timer-1;_RequestID=d27e1b94-d359-4d90-a6e3-c7ec49a0f383;|java.lang.NullPointerException at com.sun.jbi.management.system.AutoAdminTask.pollAutoDirectory(AutoAdminTask.java:1031) Using lsof I check the number of file descriptors and I see quite a few entries which look like: java 18510 root 8556u sock 0,4 1555182 can't identify protocol java 18510 root 8557u sock 0,4 1555320 can't identify protocol java 18510 root 8558u sock 0,4 1555736 can't identify protocol java 18510 root 8559u sock 0,4 1555883 can't identify protocol If I do a count of open file descriptors every minute I see it growing by 12 every minute. I have no idea what these sockets are. I've undeployed my application so there is only a plain Glassfish instance running and I still see it leaking 12 file descriptors a minute. So I think this leak is in Glassfish or potentially IMQ. What approach should I take to tracking down these sockets of unknown protocol? What tools can I use (or flags can I pass to lsof) to get more information about where to look? thanks, chuck

• PhoneGap/Cordova. childBrowser plugin giving starnge URL (iOS)

  I am having a great deal of difficulty getting the childBrowser plugin to work Currently when I click my link it does nothing on my iOS simulator and when I click it using a browser I get a Web Page Not Found error with the web address looking something like: file://myapp/www/%C3%A2%E2%82%AC%C2%9D#??????? I am really stuck for ideas on whats going on and what is causing this, any advice would be greatly appreciated.   How to validate the sequence of attributes? • PHP: retrieve all declared namespaces of a DOMElement

  I am using the DOM extension to parse an xml file containing xml namespaces. I would have that namespace declarations are treated just like any other attribute, but my tests seem to disagree. • How to stop Android GPS using "Mobile data"

  My app requests location updates with "minTime" set to 2 seconds. When "Mobile data" is switched on (in the phone's settings) and GPS is enabled the app uses "mobile data" at between 5 and 10 megabytes per hour. This is recorded in the ICS "Data usage" screen as usage by "Android OS". In an attempt to prevent this I have unticked Settings-"Location services"-"Google's location service". Does this refer to Assisted GPS, or is it something more than that? Whatever it is, it seems to make no difference to my app's internet access. As further confirmation that it is the GPS usage by my app that is causing the mobile data access I have observed that the internet data activity indicator on the status bar shows activity when and only when the GPS indicator is present. The only way to prevent this mobile data usage seems to be to switch "Mobile data" off, and GPS accuracy seems to be almost as good without the support of mobile data. However, it is obviously unsatisfactory to have to switch mobile data off. The only permissions in the Manifest are "android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION" (and "android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE"), so the app has no explicit permission to use internet data. The LocationManager code is ` criteria.setAccuracy(Criteria.ACCURACY_FINE); criteria.setSpeedRequired(false); criteria.setAltitudeRequired(false); criteria.setBearingRequired(true); criteria.setCostAllowed(false); criteria.setPowerRequirement(Criteria.NO_REQUIREMENT); bestProvider = lm.getBestProvider(criteria, true); if (bestProvider != null) { lm.requestLocationUpdates(bestProvider, gpsMinTime, gpsMinDistance, this); ` The reference for LocationManager.getBestProvider says If no provider meets the criteria, the criteria are loosened ... Note that the requirement on monetary cost is not removed in this process. However, despite setting setCostAllowed to false the app still incurs a potential monetary cost. What else can I do to prevent the app from using mobile data?

• JavaScript alert not working in Android WebView

  In my application I am using WebView and in that I am using JavaScript alert( ) method but its not working, no pop-up appears. in my manifest file I have added <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET"></uses-permission> and in activity file I have added mWebView = (WebView) findViewById(R.id.webview); mWebView.getSettings().setJavaScriptEnabled(true); mWebView.loadUrl("file:///android_asset/demo.html"); In layout xml file I have added <WebView android:id="@+id/webview" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" /> Any clue how to enable full JavaScript in WebView. Update Thanks mark the alert() method in the html file are working now :) . Now there are two issues in WebView : 1: I am using a in the html file that i am loading in WebView , and trying to write in Hindi language font in it, but when i try to write Hindi text it displays as symbols ( rectangle symbols like [] ) . when i do the same in firefox browser on desktop it works fine. any clue how to give support for multiple language in textarea in WebView ? 2: When I am clicking submit and trying to open the value of text in alert() method in another java script it doesn't work , does it mean even after using WebChromeClient its applicable only for current loaded html page and not java scripts called from that page ?

• boost::asio::async_resolve Problem

  Hi All, I'm in the process of constructing a Socket class that uses boost::asio. To start with, I made a connect method that took a host and a port and resolved it to an IP address. This worked well, so I decided to look in to async_resolve.
