    I am newbie to Linux and Centos6. I bought server just now and want to deploy my web app in it. I am getting error while I am compiling my servlet classes. It showing me bash: javac: command not found when I try to compile my classes. But when I checked my class in '/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0/bin .'I found my javac there. Then I checked javac with the help of command ./javac i got ERROR..   • Apache error with suEXEC only

    When I enable suEXEC by following the tutorial here, I am able to get PHP to run over Apache in cgi mode, but when I start trying to use suEXEC I get a 403, and the following error appears in the error log "client denied by server configuration". The suEXEC log is empty. How can I get this working? My ultimate goal is to run fastcgi with suexec, and this error has stopped me at every turn.     I am trying to set up SSL in Apache but when I go to the server in Firefox I get the following error message: An error occurred during a connection to sludge.home.   • Sun-JRE on CentOS-4.8 RPM error: post-install scriptlet failed, exit status 5

    I have a server with CentOS 4.8 installed. The provided is rubbish, but there's only a few months left, and they're busy being sued by Chase bank, so I doubt I can get CentOS 5. I wiped the server clean using Virtuozzo, and found that the default image is VERY empty. I even had to install yum myself. I've reached the point where I want to install TomCat. I downloaded the Sun JRE as a .rpm.bin file, did chmod a+x and ran it.     I'm trying to image a SATA laptop hard drive, using DriveImageXML, that is attached to my computer via a USB adapter. I'm running Win7 Ultimate 64 bit. DriveXML is returning: Could not initialize Windows Volume Shadow Service (VSS). ERROR C:\Program Files (x86)\Runtime Software\Drivelmage XML\vss64.exe failed to start. ERROR TIMEOUT Make sure VSSVC.EXE is running in your task manager. Click Help for more information. VSSVC.EXE is running in Task Manager, as is VSS64.exe. Looking at the FAQ on the Runtime webpage this turned up: Please verify in Settings-Control Panel-Administrative Tools-Services that the following services are enabled: MS Software Shadow Copy Provider Volume Shadow Copy Also make sure you are able to stop and start these services. Possible reasons for VSS failures: For VSS to work, at least one volume in your computer must be NTFS. If you use only FAT drives, VSS will not function. The required NTFS volume does not need to be identical with the volume you want to image. You should make sure that VSSVC.EXE is running in your task manager. If the problems persist, registering "oleaut.dll" and "oleaut32.dll" using "regsvr32" might help. Both of those services are running and can be started and stopped without issue. Using "regsvr32" to register ""oleaut32.dll" returns successful, but "oleaut.dll" returns: The module "oleaut.dll" failed to load. Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent .DLL files. The specified module could not be found. Some other information that might be relevant. Browsing to the drive is successful, but accessing certain folders returns an "access" error. Windows runs a permissions adder that adds the current user profile to the NFTS permissions. Could this be the cause of the issue? DriveImage XML is running as Administrator. Thoughts?

    When I attempt to connect to a server running XP x64 (so essentially Server 2003) using a PPTP connection, it fails with client-side error Registering your computer on the network... Error 720: A connection to the remote computer could not be established. You might need to change the network settings for this configuration. and server-side error Event ID: 20050 The user WINSERV3\Andy connected to port VPN8-1 has been disconnected because no network protocols were successfully negotiated. I have configured the router to pass both TCP packets on 1723 and GRE packets. I have used Wireshark (filtering out ARP, UDP, and all TCP ports other than 1723) to observe the packets received by the server. Wireshark does not explicitly name any protocol GRE, but it does tell me the server sent and received TCP, PPTP, PPP LCP, PPP CHAP, PPP CBCP, and PPP IPCP. The connection seems to go wrong at packet 30, where the protocol is PPP LCP, with the payload of the packet being labeled "Protocol Reject". Obviously, this is going from server to client. This would seem to lead to the conclusion that there is something wrong with my client, which runs Windows 7 Ultimate x64. However, it is able to connect to my house's router, which runs the DD-WRT firmware and is thus a PPTP endpoint. I'm thoroughly at a loss. Please help!

    I installed Redmine on MacOSX Server 10.6.8 according to this installation description. So far everything works fine: When I start webrick the server serves the Redmine pages. The gems and redmine are installed under the user "redmine". After that I aimed configuring apache2 with passenger as described here. As suggested by the description I also installed the passenger-pane which stores its virtual host configuration files in /private/etc/apache2/passenger_pane_vhosts. This is what I came up with after a lot of manual try and error.     Hello I have a setup of exim4 on domain1 in front of other server, domain2 (with sendmail). Second server have no direct access to internet, so domain1 is MX for domain2. And domain2 is set as hubbed_host in the exim4 on domain1. When spammer sends message for no_such_user@domain2, its sendmail do a reject: 550 5.1.1 <no_such_user@domain2>... User unknown Then, exim4 at domain1 do an auto-reply like this: This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: no_such_user@domain2 SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<no_such_user@domain2>: host 10.0.0.1 [10.0.0.1]: 550 5.1.1 <no_such_user@domain2>... User unknown The spammers uses fake "from" field, and such generated messages are frozen by exim for a long time. How can I disable some or all autoreplies from exim4? Ideally, I want a filter, if message was not delivered with error "User unknown" than don't generate any autoreply from mailer-daemon. Thanks!

    Hi, I'm getting the following error when trying to load an Asp.NET MVC App on IIS 7 with Sql Server 2008 Express. The App uses Linq to SQL. A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) I've done some searching and all answers point to enabling TCP connections in Sql Server Configuration which I have done to no avail. The connection string I am using is: Server=SERVERNAME\SQLEXPRESS;Database=DBName;Integrated Security=true The catch. I have another app that already could talk to the Sql Server just fine. Even before playing around with the Sql Server Configuration Settings. The other app uses the following connectionstring: Data Source=SERVERNAME\SQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=OtherDbName;Integrated Security=True;Persist Security Info=False;Connect Timeout=120 I've tried this connectionstring on the app that isn't working and it still doesn't work. Please help. I think i'm about to go crazy

  • Error when trying to deploy Windows XP SP3 with WDS

    I have created a WDS server running Windows Server 2008 R2. I have built my custom images of Windows 7 using WAIK and MDT 2010 that are installed on the server. I used this guide to help me through the process. The Windows 7 images that I have created capture and deploy properly. I am attempting to follow the same steps from the guide I linked to capture and deploy a Windows XP SP3 image. I am able to sysprep and capture the reference machine with no errors. I am then able to import the custom .wim that I just captured in to MDT 2010 with no issues either. However when I try to deploy this image to a test virtual machine I get the following error: Deployment Error: I have made sure that the .iso that I am importing the source files from originally to create the sysprep and capture sequence is indeed a Windows XP SP3 iso. When I first select a PE boot environment before I deploy I select the x86 PE boot image that I created originally when making this for my Windows 7 deployments. Could this be the issue? If so how do I make a boot image specific for Windows XP SP3 deployments? I have Googled around for this error and some places point to the deployment image not being able to find setup.exe and other important system files for installing the operating system. If so, how do I add these to the image? Any ideas?

  • PHP 5.3 on IIS gives 404 error in CGI mode

    Slowly losing my mind here. I had PHP 5.2 working fine (ISAPI) under IIS, but for some extension I needed 5.3. So no worries, I installed this but it turns out ISAPI is not supplied anymore. I followed the install tutorials for fastcgi and ended up with a 500 internal server error for every PHP page served. So my current situation is: I have fastcgi removed. In my websites I have added PHP (head, get, post) and routed them to c:\php\php-cgi.exe. Result: every PHP page I try (even the ones with just text) gives 404 not found error. Any HTML file I put in the same folder, serves without a hitch. Who can help me please... How hard can something like this be right? For me apparently very hard. Extra information: ran the installer as suggested below. Set it to use fastcgi. my fcgiext.ini file looks like this now: [types] php=c:\php\php-cgi.exe [c:\php\php-cgi.exe] exepath=c:\php\php-cgi.exe from the command-line a 3 line PHP file with just phpinfo(); works fine from the server the same PHP file with just phpinfo(); results in the internal server 500 error. from the server a PHP file with just text works fine when changing the document types in IIS management console and point the PHP extension directly to c:\php\php-cgi.exe results in 404 for every PHP file the php.ini is the php.ini.production file which came in the distribution. No edits were made. Setting the IIS PHP handler directly to PHP (not via fastcgi) c:\php\php-cgi.exe results in the following: display a PHP page with only text....works fine display a page with only phpinfo(); results in 404 not found

  • BOINC error code -1200 when opening...

    I installed boinc 6.10.21 on my macosx 10.5 in order to upgrade from a 6.6 version that I was running today, and I am the admin user, and I was logged in as the admin user. As I was installing 6.10.21 I was asked if non admin users should be allowed to use boinc, and I said 'yes' to this. Then when I tried to open boinc I got a message like the following: "You currently are not authorized to manage the client. Either re-install and allow non-admin users or contact your administrator to add you to the 'boinc_master' user group." So I tried to reinstall first, and I was not asked if non admin users should be allowed to use boinc.. so I retried a few times and got no different result.. So I downloaded 6.10.43 and installed that, and again I was not asked if non admin users should be allowed to use boinc.. and when I tried to run boinc I got the same message like: "You currently are not authorized to manage the client. Either re-install and allow non-admin users or contact your administrator to add you to the 'boinc_master' user group." So I did a google search trying to figure out how to add my admin user to the bonic_master user group and found this which suggested I run the following in terminal: "sudo dscl . -append /Groups/boinc_master GroupMembership <your user's short name> CR" So I did this and now I get the following error: BOINC ownership or permissions are not set properly; please reinstall BOINC (Error code -1200) So I reinstall and I am ever asked the question about allowing non admin users again, and I still get this error message every after every reinstall attempt.. What should I do?..

  • Intermittent PHP error: Undefined function <core function>

    In the last week I've been coming across an incredibly annoying error on one of Slicehost slices. It appears that every now and then PHP will fail with a fatal error, saying a certain function is undefined. The function changes, but is always a core PHP function e.g. defined(), version_compare(), etc. This problem has occurred while using several different PHP applications - PHPMyAdmin, my own custom built apps, etc, leading me to believe that the problem is not specific to the running code. Here are some details: - Debian Lenny - Apache 2.2.9 - PHP 5.2.6-1+lenny4 with Suhosin-Patch (running eAccelerator 0.9.6) Apache and PHP are installed from Debian packages. Error logs show nothing out of the ordinary. I thought memory might be an issue, but free -m reports upwards of 100MB free almost all the time. Another thing I'm trying to investigate is if the problem might be related to eAccelerator, but testing this theory out is incredibly hard because the issue doesn't appear very often and I've been using eAccelerator for months on this install without any problems up until now. Has anyone ever come across anything like this? Why would PHP report undefined core functions?

  • Apache 403 Forbidden Error when accessing local web server using local IP address

    I have an odd problem when attempting to browse to pages stored on a local web server (Apache 2.2). The pages are served as expected when I browse to localhost or 127.0.0.1 on port 80. Yet when I attempt to browse to the same pages by referencing the local IP address (192.168.x.x), I receive a HTTP 403 (Forbidden) error. In essence, http://localhost:80 works but 192.168.x.x:80 doesn't even though I'm specifying the IP of the local machine. You may be thinking "who cares? just use localhost". However, this is the first step in troubleshooting why I cannot remotely access these pages from different hosts on my LAN. I'm presuming this can't be a firewall issue as I'm only connecting to the local machine. Even so, I verified there was no iptables rules that could be having an effect. I've checked the Apache error logs and the corresponding line of relevance is: [Sat Oct 19 07:38:35 2013] [error] [client 192.168.x.x] client denied by server configuration: /var/www/ I've inspected most of the apache config files and they don't appear to differ from what you would expect with a default install. I can't see anything in apache2.conf that would be a problem and httpd.conf is an empty file.     I'm trying to deploy an MSI via the Group Policy in Active Directory. But these are the errors I'm getting in the System event log after logging in: The assignment of application XStandard from policy install failed. The error was : %%1274 The removal of the assignment of application XStandard from policy install failed. The error was : %%2 Failed to apply changes to software installation settings. The installation of software deployed through Group Policy for this user has been delayed until the next logon because the changes must be applied before the user logon. The error was : %%1274 The Group Policy Client Side Extension Software Installation was unable to apply one or more settings because the changes must be processed before system startup or user logon. The system will wait for Group Policy processing to finish completely before the next startup or logon for this user, and this may result in slow startup and boot performance. When I reboot and log in again I simply get the same messages about needing to perform the update before the next logon. I'm on a Windows Vista 32-bit laptop. I'm rather new to deploying via group policy so what other information would be helpful in determining the issue? I tried a different MSI with the same results. I'm able to install the MSI using the command line and msiexec when logged into the computer, so I know the MSI is working ok at least.

  • Apache start failing after apache config modifications, showing syntax error, cannot load php5apache2_2.dll into server

    I am stuck again with apache setup guys. I am working on a Windows 7 system. I copied the working php5 installation directory from teammates, copied the necessary .dll files from inside php5 installation folder (like they were in the working setup of teammates) to my windows/system32/. Apache server started successfully with the default apache config file. I was able to access localhost in browser. But php code was not parsing. I noticed no such line like the following in the apache config file:- # PHP5 module LoadModule php5_module D:/php5/php5apache2_2.dll If I add this line, apache server start fails. Running test configuration gives the following error - httpd.exe: Syntax error on line 60 of C:/Program Files (x86)/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load D:/php5/php5apache2_2.dll into server: The specified procedure could not be found. But the dll file is there in the specified location and I have given all permissions to the current system user to the php5 installation directory. The same line also appears in the apache error log, though I am not sure when exactly logs are written to the log file. I am confused if log entries are not made if I have opened the log file for reading? lol ... because I could not observe a pattern in when entries are made. I saw some log entries being made, some not. Oh, why is apache setup such a headache always????

    We've migrated a client from google apps to an MS Exchange 2010 SP2 on-premise setup. The setup /prepareAD went well, and the software was installed with the Administrator account. We've used the Exchange Management Console to setup mailboxes and had to google up the appropriate workarounds such as going into each users Advanced Security Settings and selecting "include inheritable permissions from this object's parents", and changing their logon-to from specific machines to "all computers" so that they can connect to Outlook Web Access, and in turn so their Outlook 2007-2010 clients can connect to Exchange. Sending and receiving emails are working well. Now that all this is in place, we can create Dynamic Distrubution Lists with no problem, but as soon as we try and create a DISTRIBUTION LIST, either in the EMC or the Exchange PowerShell, we get an error. As the error message in the powershell is more verbose, I include this if anyone can suggest how we remedy this: [PS] C:\Windows\system32new-DistributionGroup -Name 'projects' -SamAccountName 'projects' -Alias 'projects' Active Directory operation failed on DC.cppe.local.   • VPN Error 691 but server says authenticated on server

    Hello all, I have a problem with a vpn connection on Windows XP SP3 that appears to be related to an account (maybe privilleges or an option that I have missed). When connecting using my account, which is a domain administrator account it will connect to through the vpn fine. However, using an account created for another person they receive Error 691: Username or Password is not valid for this domain. On the domain controller (windows 2003) I see a logon successful message: User DOMAIN\user was granted access. Fully-Qualified-User-Name = int.company.net.au/People/Management/User NAS-IP-Address = 10.30.0.3 NAS-Identifier = not present Client-Friendly-Name = MelbourneCore Client-IP-Address = Router-ip Calling-Station-Identifier = not present NAS-Port-Type = Virtual NAS-Port = 77 Proxy-Policy-Name = Use Windows authentication for all users Authentication-Provider = Windows Authentication-Server = undetermined Policy-Name = Remote VPN Access Authentication-Type = MS-CHAPv1 EAP-Type = Does anyone have any ideas as to where else I should look for finding a solution? If i use the wrong password it gives a logon failure error in the event viewer. Also removing them from the remote access group gives a logon failure error. Nothing appears in the event viewer on the local machine. In the past all that is required is to add them into our Remote Access Users group. Any help?
