    Hi, I'm building a download manager in python for fun, and sometimes the connection to the server is still on but the server doesn't send me data, so read method (of HTTPResponse) block me forever. This happens, for example, when I download from a server, which located outside of my country, that limit the bandwidth to other countries. How can I set a timeout for the read method (2 minutes for example)? Thanks, Nir.

    Hello everyone, I'm interested in building a JBoss service. Because I'm reusing some existing code, the service must be able to talk SSL/TLS and Protocol Buffers. The documentation I see on the JBoss wiki makes it look like services have their transport and data interpretation handled by JBoss itself. Is it really the case?     I am currently building a small visual designer using the Netbeans Platform. All my components that can be placed on the JPanel show correctly in the Palette Window. What I am struggling to do at the moment, is to let the property window show the properties of the component that was either just dragged and dropped or showing the currently selected component in the JPanel in the Properties window.     So here's the scenario, I'm building a theme that would display sub category of a parent post for Food: [Food] -Hotdog -Eggs -Fries for Toys: [Toys] -Doll -Car -Drums for People: [People] -Mom -Dad -Uncle now I don't want to display their parent category, just their subcategory (eg Doll, Car, Drums). I've looked list_cats() and wp_list_categories() but I can't figure out how to display it right. Thanks!

However I can't find any simple examples anywhere of how to specify a required library, and find that library where it might be in various different places. I've currently got: AC_CHECK_LIB(['event'], ['event_init']) but: It doesn't find the version installed in /opt/local/lib It doesn't complain if the library isn't actually found I need to set the include path to /opt/local/include too any help, or links to decent tutorials much appreciated...

    After building the application GUI, I realised it was a little bit too complex and I could reuse some of the Swing components. The result is a complex class with many anidated JPanels.   • Can I get a person's display name or composite name from Apple AddressBook on OSX platform?

    I have come across ABRecordCopyCompositeName() in these pages but, having Spotlighted it, have a hunch it's only available for the IOS platform. The AddressBook app itself, and ABPeoplePicker obviously do something similar internally, so is there an equivalent API for OSX? It's a tedious thing to retrieve title, first name, middle name, last name, suffix and work out if it's a company before building it yourself.

    I'm building a django app and I can't get the templates to see the CSS files... My settings.py file looks like: MEDIA_ROOT = os.path.join(os.path.abspath(os.path.dirname(__file__)), 'media') MEDIA_URL = '/media/' I've got the CSS files in /mysite/media/css/ and the template code contains: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/media/css/site_base.css" />` then, in the url.py file I have: # DEVELOPMENT ONLY (r'^media/(?P<path>.*)$', 'django.views.static.serve', {'document_root': '/media'}), but the development server serves the plain html (without styles). What am I doing wrong?
