  • "domain crashed" when creating new Xen instance

    I have downloaded a Xen virtual machine image from the appscale project, and I am trying to start it up. However once I run the command; xm create -c -f xen.conf The instance immediately crashes and provides no console output. however it produces logs that I have posted below. but this is the error; [2011-03-01 12:34:03 xend.XendDomainInfo 3580] WARNING (XendDomainInfo:1178) Domain has crashed: name=appscale-1.4b id=10. I have managed to mount the root.img file locally and verify that it is actually an ext3 file system. I am running Xen 3.0.3 that is a stock RPM from the CentOS 5 repos; # rpm -qa | grep -i xen xen-libs-3.0.3-105.el5_5.5 xen-3.0.3-105.el5_5.5 xen-libs-3.0.3-105.el5_5.5 kernel-xen-2.6.18-194.32.1.el5 any suggestions on how to proceed with troubleshooting?   • iproute2 rules and iptables NAT... what is the difference?

    We have 2 different ISP connections. Our previous "IT guy" setup our firewall like so: When /etc/rc.local was executed on startup, it did a bunch of ip rule add and ip route add commands in order to route certain internal hosts to use certain ISP connections. Then at the end of /etc/rc.local, he executed our iptables firewall rules that were generated by Firewall Builder. These iptables rules have both Policy and NAT rules setup in them. What I don't understand, is why did he use iproute2 to specify rules and routes but also specify NAT rules for iptables? Why didn't he just do it all in one or the other instead of using them both? Could he have got rid of the iproute2 rules and routes and just put all those same rules into the iptables NAT settings?

    I trying to change the configuration of our router, it's a Cisco 2821 Integrated Services Router. I don't know much about Cisco products. While looking at the PDF manual for the router I notices it talked about SDM Security Device Manager. But when I point my web browser at the IP address of the router, it give me a very simple web interface. It's sort of like a string builder for CLI commands. I'm guessing SDM was not installed on it.     My Pydev set up in OS X is kind of busted. I'm working on a Django project and I find that Ctrl-Click never actually goes to the definitions of any of my objects or functions. I actually have a symlink to Django/django in my workspace so that it's easier to cross reference Django code. My guess is that something is wrong with the builder, but it doesn't throw up any errors. Does anyone have advice here? Different topic: does anyone know of a good way to use Ctrl-Shift-R (Open resource) and filter files by folder? It's not that useful in python projects where you have 20 urls.py showing up.

    I ordered a Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit os online and just received a DVD & Key Code sticker. The DVD label shows it to be a reinstallation DVD, Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit Dell branded and states that the DVD is only to be used to reinstall the OS on a Dell PC. I built this PC & it previously has had XP Pro installed for the last several years. A couple of weeks ago I had a problem with some Malware & made the mistake of attempting to reinstall the XP Pro only to find out that MS has locked out my key, the same one I have been using on this built PC for the last 3 years. The previous PC was built by a local PC builder & I just reinstalled the OS on the new system. Should I send this Win7 DVD back to where I bought it, or can I use it? What a mess, Thanks DWB

    Adobe Help that came with Creative Suite 5 and/or Flash Builder Pro is constantly creating network traffic with an Adobe site, www.wip4.adobe.com In the Adobe Help application Preferences, I find that I can change the settings so that I must manually download updates, but apparently the application still likes to call home and chatter non-stop with www.wip4.adobe.com. I could use something like Little Snitch to block all this spyware-like behavior, but I'd really prefer to just change the application's behavior. Is there a hidden setting or configuration file to adjust this behavior to something more appropriate and polite?

    I created a small Windows app, and am builder a setup for it using NSIS, but what I can't find out is where to put the executables to conform to the new Windows security model. Traditionally we put program files in, well, "c:\program files". With the security model getting more mangled with each Windows version, some users have restricted accounts, and I'm not sure installing into program files will work for these users.   • How to configure Notepad++ (Scintilla) to write below EOF after EOL [on hold]

    Is it possible to configure scintilla to "brake" EOL/EOF while writing ? Now, if I want to begin writing in a column after EOL, I use ALT+left mouse button and start typing after click. No idea how to begin writing below EOF. Pressing Enter key many times is the only method now. Other explanation: If You open a new document, doesnt matter what kind of (php/txt etc) all You have is just one line. If You want to write in line 5 - must press Enter 5 times. Every other editor I know (IDE in Builder C++/MultiEdit) "ignore" eof and you can write anywhere in document. Because of php/html I've found notepad++ as a best editor but I'd like to "brake" limitations of (probably) scintilla

  • Computer Software Needed

    A friend started my website with Frontpage 2000 in Oct04. I used it until 09 and started to use Kompozer. I am starting to have difficulty updating my picture pages. Some pictures never show up or show up as X. I'm not sure what the problem is. I haven't been able to figure out how to upload files to Filezilla either. Is there a software program similar to Frontpage and Kompozer that will allow me to do weekly updates/addition to my picture pages without recreating the whole page? I dabbled with Web Builder 8-Easy WebEditor-Expression Web and Pagebreeze.

  • Strange "INavigatorContent" error compiling in 4.0

    I've recently decided to try an upgrade to 4.0. The only error I still can't work out is this one: "The children of Halo navigators must implement INavigatorContent" I seem to be getting it on all my ViewStacks that have validators. <mx:ViewStack xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml"> <mx:NumberValidator id="systolicValidator" source="{systolic}" required="true" property="text" minValue="10" maxValue="300" domain="int"/> <mx:NumberValidator id="diastolicValidator" source="{diastolic}" required="true" property="text" minValue="10" maxValue="200" domain="int"/> <mx:TextInput id="systolic"/> <mx:TextInput id="diastolic"/> ... The error gets thrown on the validator tags. My compiler is set to "flex 3 compatibility mode" and my theme is set to Halo (default). This seems like it should be a really straight forward fix, so I hate to spin my wheels on it for too long. Any ideas what I might be missing?

Modify the original grammar to remove the left recursion using some procedure Write the grammar originally not to have the left recursion What people normally use for removing (not having) the left recursion with ANTLR? I've used flex/bison for parser, but I need to use ANTLR. The only thing I'm concerned about using ANTLR (or LL parser in genearal) is left recursion removal. In practical sense, how serious of removing left recursion in ANTLR? Is this a showstopper in using ANTLR? Or, nobody cares about it in ANTLR community? I like the idea of AST generation of ANTLR. In terms of getting AST quick and easy way, which method (out of the 2 removing left recursion methods) is preferable?

  • Ant Copy Task: Failed to copy due to java.io.FileNotFoundException

    I'm trying to compile a Flex application in Ant (no problems here, I can do it fine). When I try to publish the contents of the project to a Windows network drive (known as "Z:\" on my system), I get the following LAME exception thrown by Java/Ant: BUILD FAILED C:\workspace\bkeller\build.xml:42: Failed to copy C:\workspace\bkeller\web\assets\text\biography.html to Z:\web\bkeller\assets\text\biography.html due to java.io.FileNotFoundException Z:\web\bkeller\assets\text\biography.html (The system cannot find the file specified) Which kind of sucks. I can't find any way to get rid of this problem and it's pretty crucial to my project that I get this working. I know for sure that I have read/write/execute permissions on the network drive, I can create/edit/delete files on the drive just fine through Windows explorer. Drive Z is a network mount to virtualbox, allowing me to get access to my host OS, Ubuntu. I've double checked that it has write permissions. Any ideas?
