  • [Alfresco] property qualified-name in method getContentReader

    Hi there, I first apologize for my poor english level and maybe for the stupidity of my question ;) I am on an alfresco project to learn how it works. I have to browse programatically my content repository and gather datas all along. In order to do that I guessed I had to use a ContentReader (I get from my ContentService) but the method getReader wants a nodeRef and a propertyQualifiedName. I am ok with the nodeRef, I get what it's needed for. But the propertyQualifiedName puzzles me, I barely get what it is but I frankly don't get how it is used. Reading some alfresco forum threads I get more and more scared that I dont even get how a reader works, I somewhere saw that a reader can read only one node and only one time per instance. If anyone knows a bit about the Java API for Alfresco Content Repository use I am all hears ! Cheers all !

  • jQuery: tabs where the tab/content can be linked to

    My issue is simple. I have already implemented a tab system, and I'd probably spend more time implementing another one with the solution I need, than giving a shot at adapting the code I have, and learn something while asking :) My problem is that the tabs can't be linked to, I need to be able to link to a tab from another website or page, and have that tab get selected upon page load. ie: I have three tabs showing different products, by default tab 1 is active/selected when the page loads. From the home page I want to link to tab 2 but I can't link to tab 2 because it doesn't get selected. Not sure if that makes sense.   • [WEB] Local/Dev/Live deployment - best workflow

    Hello, situation We our little company with 3 people, each has a localhost webserver and most projects (previous and current) are on one PC network shared disk. We have virtual server, where some of our clients' sites and our site. Our standard workflow is: Coder PC ? Programmer localhost ? dev domain (client.company.com) ? live version (client.com) It often happens, that there are two or three guys working on same projects at the same time - one is on dev version, two are on localhost. When finished, we try to synchronize the files on dev version and ideally not to mess (thanks ILMV:]) up any files, which *knock knock * doesn't happen often. And then one of us deploys dev version on live webserver. question we are looking for a way to simplify this workflow while updating websites - ideally some sort of diff uploader or VCS probably (Git/SVN/VCS/...), but we are not completely sure where to begin or what way would be ideal, therefore I ask you, fellow stackoverflowers for your experience with website / application deployment and recommended workflow. We probably will also need to use Mac in process, so if it won't be a problem, that would be even better. Thank you

    Hi all, I have used wmd-editor in my cakephp v1.3 application.   • Adding jQueryui Buttons to dynamically added content

    I have a list of items that have some jQueryUI buttons associated with them. After an action (deleting an item) I want to reload the list via ajax. Only problem is when I do so the JQueryUI buttons no longer show, just the standard markup. I know I can use jQuery.live() for dynamically adding click handlers etc, but how do I apply a jQueryUI button() to them?

  • parse content away from structure in a binary file

    Using C#, I need to read a packed binary file created using FORTRAN. The file is stored in an "Unformatted Sequential" format as described here (about half-way down the page in the "Unformatted Sequential Files" section): http://www.tacc.utexas.edu/services/userguides/intel8/fc/f_ug1/pggfmsp.htm As you can see from the URL, the file is organized into "chunks" of 130 bytes or less and includes 2 length bytes (inserted by the FORTRAN compiler) surrounding each chunk. So, I need to find an efficient way to parse the actual file payload away from the compiler-inserted formatting. Once I've extracted the actual payload from the file, I'll then need to parse it up into its varying data types. That'll be the next exercise. My first thoughts are to slurp up the entire file into a byte array using File.ReadAllBytes. Then, just iterate through the bytes, skipping the formatting and transferring the actual data to a second byte array. In the end, that second byte array should contain the actual file contents minus all the formatting, which I'd then need to go back through to get what I need. As I'm fairly new to C#, I thought there might be a better, more accepted way of tackling this. Also, in case it's helpful, these files could be fairly large (say 30MB), though most will be much smaller...

    I am trying to write to a folder that is located on my C:\ drive. I keep getting the error of : Could not find a part of the path .. etc My filepath looks basically like this : C:\WebRoot\ManagedFiles\folder\thumbs\5c27a312-343e-4bdf-b294-0d599330c42d\Image\lighthouse.jpg And I am writing to it like so : using (MemoryStream memoryStream = new MemoryStream()) { thumbImage.Save(memoryStream, ImageFormat.Jpeg); using (FileStream diskCacheStream = new FileStream(cachePath, FileMode.CreateNew)) { memoryStream.WriteTo(diskCacheStream); } memoryStream.WriteTo(context.Response.OutputStream); } Don't worry too much about the memory stream. It is just outputting it (After I save it). Since I am creating a file, I am a bit perplexed as to why it cannot find the file (Shouldn't it just write to where I tell it to, regardless?). The strange thing is, It has no issue when I'm testing it above using File.Exists. Obviously that is returning false, But it means that atleast my Filepath is semi legit. Any help is much appreciated.

Please enter the path for Program set /p PROGRAMPATH=Path: ) echo Copying data to "%PROGRAMPATH%"... copy /Y "*.txt" "%PROGRAMPATH%" Now for my question. If a user then enters a new path, is it possible to save that path. So when he executes the self extraction packagde again, it could remember that new path?

If I'm going to use Django as a proxy to serve static files in a view, what are the implications? I'm used to serving static files in Apache and configuring that my media is served without any handlers, but what happens if someone starts downloading 500mb through my Django proxy? Will my Django thread be locked for that user until he recieves the 500mb response?

    To support Window Vista in my game, I have changed were the save files are placed (From under Program Files to My Documents) for both XP and Vista installations. Now I would like to be able to move the current XP users save games from the old location to the new location.     Hi! I'm trying to refactor some code and move some of my before_filter's from the controller to a class. Before: class UsersController < ApplicationController before_filter :find_user def find_user @user = User.find(params[:id]) end end ... After class FindUserFilter def self.filter(controller) @user = User.find(params[:id]) end end class UsersController < ApplicationController before_filter FindUserFilter end class GuestbookController < ApplicationController before_filter FindUserFilter end This results in an error because neither params[:id] nor @user is available/definable in the FindUserFilter-class. Any idea how to fix this?

  • Ideas on simulating webservices for local automated testing.

    I am testing an app, which talks to different webservices over the internet. For my automated testing, I don't want to go over the network. To achieve this, I need to simulate the webservice on my machine using another app. My initial thought is to record all the requests and responses between client and webservice, and then just write a simulation app which replays these responses. The disadvantage here is that everytime the webservice protocol changes a bit, I have to modify all my recorded resposnes. so I am looking to see if there are more elegant solutions. have anyone solved a similar problem? any thoughts, suggestion are appreciated.
