  • Loop over array and set all vars to false or true in javascript

    - by Sixfoot Studio
    Hi All, I need to loop over my array and set all the vars to false or true. I have tried numerous options, none of which are working and it's clearly my lack of javascript syntax knowledge..Please take a look at this: var closeAllCells = [IncomeOpen = "false", RehabOpen = "false", AttendantCareOpen = "false", HomeMaintenanceOpen = "false", DependantCareOpen = "false", IndexationOpen = "false", DeathFuneralOpen = "false", ComprehensiveOpen = "false", CollisionOpen = "false", LiabilityOpen = "false", DCPDOpen = "false"]; So my thinking is that I can just loop over this as follows for (var i=0;i<closeAllCells.length;i++) { closeAllCells[i] = true; // or false if I wished }

  • What does this mean?

    - by LeonixSolutions
I found this in some code examples while googling : $sql = 'INSERT INTO users (username, passwordHash) VALUES (?,?)'; it's new to me, but I would guess that it a substitution method and equivalent to $sql = "INSERT INTO users (username, passwordHash) VALUES ($username,$passwordHash)";` or $sql = 'INSERT INTO users (username, passwordHash) VALUES (' . $username . ',' . $passwordHash . ')';` would that be correct? Is it an actual PHP syntax, or was he just trying to simplify his example?

  • MS SQL Server stored procedure meaning

    - by den-javamaniac
Hi. I'm developing a simple database architecture in VisualParadigm and lately ran over next code excerpt. IF EXISTS (SELECT * FROM sys.objects WHERE object_id = OBJECT_ID(N'getType') AND type in (N'P', N'PC')) DROP PROCEDURE getType; Next goes my stored procedure: CREATE PROCEDURE getType @typeId int AS SELECT * FROM type t WHERE t.type_id = @typeId; Can anyone explain what does it mean? P.S.: It would be great, if you may also check for any syntax errors as I'm totally new to MSSQL and stored procedures.

  • Semantic #region usage

    - by Luca
What's your opinion about using #region folding using application semantic, instead of folding for "syntax". For example: #region Application Loop #region User Management #region This Kinf of stuffs instead of #region Private Routines #region Public Properties #region ThisRoutine // (Yes, I've seen this also!) In this logic, I'm starting fold even routine bodies. I'm starting to love #region directive (even using #pragma region when using C++!).

  • T-SQL get SELECTed value of stored procedure

    - by David
In T-SQL, this is allowed: DECLARE @SelectedValue int SELECT @SelectedValue = MyIntField FROM MyTable WHERE MyPrimaryKeyField = 1 So, it's possible to get the value of a SELECT and stuff it in a variable (provided it's scalar, obviously). If I put the same select logic in a stored procedure: CREATE PROCEDURE GetMyInt AS SELECT MyIntField FROM MyTable WHERE MyPrimaryKeyField = 1 Can I get the output of this stored procedure and stuff it in a variable? Something like: DECLARE @SelectedValue int SELECT @SelectedValue = EXEC GetMyInt (I know the syntax above is not allowed because I tried it!)

  • Custom warning in Xcode

    - by maximumnamelength
I'm working on an API library and I'd like to add a few warnings that would appear when another developers builds the app if an optional apikey is not included. It should be buildable w/o the key (since it's optional) so I can't just add a syntax error to force a build error. I know Xcode supports TODO and FIXME but those aren't really highlighted anywhere major. Any other thoughts on how to approach this?

  • Where can I find some good tutorials for C++

    - by Rob
My friend has convinced me to start learning some C++, so my question is simple: where can I find some good tutorials for it? But please don't link me to the usual dry boring tutorials that only tells you the function syntax, I need more thorough explanations. I get sidetracked very easily, and I need tutorials that are more on a human level, that I'll not only learn from, but enjoy reading as well. So I'd appreciate any links that would help :)

  • What does the following line of a bash script do?

    - by Bialecki
Usually work in Windows, but trying to setup RabbitMQ on my Mac. Can someone let me know what the line below does? [ "x" = "x$RABBITMQ_NODE_IP_ADDRESS" ] && [ "x" != "x$NODE_IP_ADDRESS" ] && RABBITMQ_NODE_IP_ADDRESS=${NODE_IP_ADDRESS} Specifically, I'm curious about the [ "x" = "x$RAB..."] syntax.

  • How to store the hostname in a variable in a .bat file?

    - by eqbridges
I would like to convert this /bin/sh syntax into a widely compatible Windows batch script: host=`hostname` echo ${host} How to do this so that it'll work on any Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Windows 2000 machine? To clarify: I would then like to go on in the program and use the hostname as stored in the variable host. In other words, the larger goal of the program is not to simply echo the hostname.

  • scala implicit or explicit conversion from iterator to iterable

    - by landon9720
Does Scala provide a built-in class, utility, syntax, or other mechanism for converting (by wrapping) an Iterator with an Iterable? For example, I have an Iterator[Foo] and I need an Iterable[Foo], so currently I am: val foo1: Iterator[Foo] = .... val foo2: Iterable[Foo] = new Iterable[Foo] { def elements = foo1 } This seems ugly and unnecessary. What's a better way?

  • Calling and writing javascript functions

    - by Ankur
I think I have not got the syntax correct for writing a javascript function and calling it to assign its return value to a variable. My function is: getObjName(objId){ var objName =""; $.ajax( { type : "GET", url : "Object", dataType: 'json', data : "objId="+objId, success : function(data) { objName = data; } }); return objName; } I am trying to call it and assign it to a variable with: var objName = getObjName(objId); However Eclipse is telling me that "there is no such function getObjName() defined"

  • Calling function with 1 paremeter @ selector.

    - by Mr. McPepperNuts
I want to call this guy -(void)addFavorite:(NSString *)favoriteToAdd at, @selector here action:@selector([addFavorite favoriteToAdd:@"string"])]; But I keep getting syntax error no matter which way I write it. Can someone point out the appropriate way to call this function? When it had no parameter and was "addFavorite," it worked fine.
