  • Command button requires two clicks (sometimes)

    i am using icefaces 1.8.2. For some command buttons, sometimes i need to click the button twice. previously whole applivcation was working fine with single click. after upgrade to 1.8.2,i am facing this problem......Any suggestion,what could be the reason??? Thanks

  • How to resolve merging conflicts in Mercurial (v1.0.2)?

    I have a merging conflict, using Mercurial 1.0.2: merging test.h warning: conflicts during merge. merging test.h failed! 6 files updated, 0 files merged, 0 files removed, 1 files unresolved There are unresolved merges, you can redo the full merge using: hg update -C 19 hg merge 18 I can't figure out how to resolve this. Google search results instruct to use: hg resolve but for some reason my Mercurial (v1.0.2) doesn't have a resolve command: hg: unknown command 'resolve' How can I resolve this conflict?

  • Why can't i access page viewstate in usercontrol?

    I stored a object in viewstate on Page. Now when i access the same viewsate object on usercontrol,it shows as null. I even tried creating the same viewstate with same name in usercontrol and page.Both holds different value. I understand that viewstate is a protected property. How does this thing implement in above scenerio or is there any other reason for this behaviour.

  • Getting started with unit testing in VS2010?

    I'm new to both unit testing and Visual Studio 2010 (just upgraded from 2008). I'm interested in using VS2010's new built-in unit testing tools, but would like to get the lay of the land first. I haven't been able to find any resources or tutorials on unit testing with VS2010 specifically - has anyone found a good walk-through? I'm also open to persuasion that we should stick with NUnit or the like, if anyone knows a reason to avoid the built-in tools.

  • Cannot get Request.Form by name in ASP.NET

    I have an ASP.NET page which utilizes jQuery for an autocomplete-type scenario. The jQuery tucks the actual selected values into a hidden field it creates on the fly, but for some reason I cannot get the value of that standard HTML field on postback by calling Request.Form["HiddenFieldName"]. I can see it by ordinal in the Request.Form object, but if I add/remove controls it will break. Any suggestions?

  • Why doesn't Java allow for the creaton of generic arrays?

    There are plenty of questions on stackoverflow from people who have attempted to create an array of generics like so: ArrayList<Foo>[] poo = new ArrayList<Foo>[5]; And the answer of course is that the Java specification doesn't allow you to declare an array of generics. My question however is why ? What is the technical reason underlying this restriction in the java language or java vm? It's a technical curiosity I've always wondered about.

    Well thats all there is to it...is this possible? I understand that officially it's not supported but has anyone figured it out? I have some work to do where XP would be the preferred platform. I would expect that users of the actual device are not required to use Windows 7 so it stands to reason that this can be done. Any poitners in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.   • IE6 is duplicating characters, can't figure out why. Suggestions?

    Problem is located on http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/ We have a dresses slider at the bottom, select tabs different dresses shown. Works fine everywhere else, but for some reason, in IE6, the letters "ls" (from the tab "Best Deals") are duplicating inside the content and causing rendering issues. I've yet to find anything that can fix this, or anything that can be blamed for causing this either. I've changed the letters at the end of Best Deals, and the duplicated letters change as well. Open to any suggestions.

' My tableview has 30 cells that are appearing with no sections.

  • PHP Based session variable not retaining value. Works on localhost, but not on server.

    I've been trying to debug this problem for many hours, but to no avail. I've been using PHP for many years, and got back into it after long hiatus, so I'm still a bit rusty. Anyways, my $_SESSION vars are not retaining their value for some reason that I can't figure out. The site worked on localhost perfectly, but uploading it to the server seemed to break it. First thing I checked was the PHP.ini server settings. Everything seems fine. In fact, my login system is session based and it works perfectly. So now that I know $_SESSIONS are working properly and retaining their value for my login, I'm presuming the server is setup and the problem is in my script. Here's a stripped version of the code that's causing a problem. $type, $order and $style are not being retained after they are set via a GET variable. The user clicks a link, which sets a variable via GET, and this variable is retained for the remainder of their session.   • is there an easy way to convert jquery code to javascript?

    hopefully the question doesn't sound stupid, but there are lots of examples out there of achieving certain things in javascript/dom using jQuery. Using jQuery is not always an option (or even a want) which can make understanding the examples of javascript solutions written in jQuery hard. Is there an easy way to convert jQuery code to regular javascript? I guess without having to access or understand the jQuery source code... edit (future readers): pretend there is a logical reason why jQuery isn't available!

    hi, I'm trying to check if a given URL is valid and i'm doing it like this: - (BOOL)urlIsValid:(NSString *)address { NSURL *testURL = [NSURL URLWithString:address]; if (testURL == nil) { return NO; } else { return YES; } } Since "URLWithString" is supposed to return "nil" if the URL is malformed I thought this would work but it doesn't for some reason. I built the site in Dreamweaver and it worked fine in testing on Safari and Firefox but the live version isn't playing ball. Any suggestions.

  • Why isnt int pow(int base, int exponent) in the standard C++ libraries?

    I feel like I must just be unable to find it. Is there any reason that the c++ pow function does not implement the "power" function for anything except floats and doubles? I know the implementation is trivial, I just feel like I'm doing work that should be in a standard library. A robust power function (ie handles overflow in some consistent, explicit way) is not fun to write.
