  Eclipse Vaadin plugin has cool autobuild feature. Just clicking "restart application" in debug console will bring up to date application version to live. Unfortunately importing maven generated vaadin project(using m2e) and copy-pasting .project buildCommands and natures from vaadin eclipse plugin generated project does not works. I'm unnable to "Run on server...", tomcat does not deploy app for unknown reason. I can see app in wtpapps folder but it still does not deploys.

  Hi all I made a custom sharepoint workflow with Visual studio, the workflow starts when a new item is inserted in a list I assigned the title of the task to reference a field in the new item TaskProps.Title = "Please prepare Hardware for project " + workflowProperties.Item["Contract"].ToString().Split('#')[1]; the task title is correct but i find the string (exteranl participant) concatenated the title of the task what can be the reason for this ? thanks

  Is it possible to limit the number of JMS receiver instances to a single instance? I.e. only process a single message from a queue at any one time? The reason I ask is because I have a fairly intensive render type process to run for each message (potentially many thousands).   I am using the Logging Application Block (of Microsoft Enterprise Library 5.0) to log exceptions in the Event Viewer that occur in my WPF XBAP application. However, exceptions are only being logged if the application is run on my machine (the machine it was built on). Any other machine it doesn't log anything. I've tried to find a reason why this might be occurring - I've tried setting requirePermission to false - but to no avail. Anyone any ideas on why this might be happening?

  I have a table with 5 string columns, all can be NULLs. After I read the data from this table, I want to convert any null values into empty strings. The reason is that I need to compare these columns with columns in another table of the same schema (using conditional split), and null values would cause the comparison to evaluate to NULL. Is there any functionality in SSIS that allows me to convert NULL's to empty strings, or just not having to deal with NULL's at all?

My question is: Is there some fundamental reason why the 0-address would be an invalid memory-location for an object in C/C++? Or are we in theory "wasting" one byte of memory due to this reservation?

  The signature of the hashCode() method is public int hashCode(){ return x; } in this case x must be an int(primitive) but plz can anyone explain it to me that the number which the hashCode() returns must be a prime number, even number...etc or there is no specification ? the reason behind i am asking this question is i have seen it in different ids the auto generated code always returns a prime number, so i need to know why? thanks in advance

• Better alternative to autonumber primary keys

  I am looking for a better primary key than the autonumber data type, namely for the reason that it's limited to a long integer, when I really just need the field to reflect a number or text string that will never ever repeat, no matter HOW many records are added or deleted from the table. The problem is I am not sure how to implement something like turning the current date and time into a hexadecimal string and using that as a unique field I can use as a primary key. Am I just being too paranoid about running out of space?

• Treeview nodes won't highlight using PopulateOndemand

  Hi everyone, I have a treeview and I want to highlight (change the text color) of a node in the treeview once that node has been selected. This isnt working for me for some reason. when I select a node nothing happens, but when I click the plus on the same node I just selected...it highlights...and even then when I click any of the childnodes, nothing happens and the root node stays highlighted always. Can anyone point me in the right direction...I'm using c#.

  I have a regular input box (no onchange attribute). <input type="text" id="bar" name="bar" /> For some reason, IE6+ does returns [object], while FF and Chrome returns null. if ((elem.getAttributeNode('onchange')) != null) elem.onchange(); I did also try as: if (typeof(elem.onchange) !== 'undefined') elem.onchange(); What would be the proper cross-browser way to check if the element has the attribute? Can anyone please explain the reason behind this ? what is the specialty of multiqueue here?

• Why is the Objective-C Boolean data type defined as a signed char?

  Something that has piqued my interest is Objective-C's BOOL type definition. Why is it defined as a signed char (which could cause unexpected behaviour if a value greater than 1 byte in length is assigned to it) rather than as an int, as C does (much less margin for error: a zero value is false, a non-zero value is true)? The only reason I can think of is the Objective-C designers micro-optimising storage because the char will use less memory than the int. Please can someone enlighten me?

  I am monitoring my application using Activity Monitor and whenever NSOpenPanel is called the application appears as having 9 threads and stays like that until the application is closed. • Find out how much storage a row is taking up in the database

  Is there a way to find out how much space (on disk) a row in my database takes up? I would love to see it for SQL Server CE, but failing that SQL Server 2008 works (I am storing about the same data in both). The reason I ask is that I have a Image column in my SQL Server CE db (it is a varbinary[max] in the SQL 2008 db) and I need to know now many rows I can store before I max out the memory on my device.
