  • SubSonic Change DropDown Value for Load Drops SUB

    I used the subsonic generator to create some aspx pages, It works fine. On some of the pages it automaticaly generated the dropdown boxes for foreign key values. How Can change that value in the load drops code? Or where I need to change it. For instance I have a workers table and a workersweek table. The workers table has a workerid,firstname and lastname field and the workersweek has a workerID field. The generator automatically set it up to show the firstname in the dropdown. I want to change the value to be both firstname and lastname. I am sure I will have to add code that does something like firstname + " " + Lastname. I am just not sure where to do it withing the code that was generated. I see the load drops sub, but it does not seem like that is the one I need to modify.

    Hello everyone, If the title was not clear, I will try to clarify what I am asking: Imagine I have a variable called counter, I know I can see its current value by doing something like: std::cout << counter << std::endl; However, assume I have lots of variables and I don't know which I'm going to want to look at until runtime. Does anyone know a way I can fetch the value of a variable by using its name, for example: std::cout << valueOf("counter") << std::endl; I feel being able to do this might make debugging large complex projects easier.     What is the point of pruning old objects from Active Directory, especially computer accounts? If a computer is wiped or destroyed, then the stale computer account doesn't pose any security risk because it can't be used any more. And I can't imagine that stale objects affect performance very much, because if they aren't being changed then they aren't being replicated. So, what is the real motivation to keep Active Directory clean of stale objects?

  • Intersection() and Except() is too slow with large collections of custom objects

    I am importing data from another database. My process is importing data from a remote DB into a List<DataModel> named remoteData and also importing data from the local DB into a List<DataModel> named localData. I am then using LINQ to create a list of records that are different so that I can update the local DB to match the data pulled from remote DB. Like this: var outdatedData = this.localData.Intersect(this.remoteData, new OutdatedDataComparer()).ToList(); I am then using LINQ to create a list of records that no longer exist in remoteData, but do exist in localData, so that I delete them from local database. Like this: var oldData = this.localData.Except(this.remoteData, new MatchingDataComparer()).ToList(); I am then using LINQ to do the opposite of the above to add the new data to the local database. Like this: var newData = this.remoteData.Except(this.localData, new MatchingDataComparer()).ToList(); Each collection imports about 70k records, and each of the 3 LINQ operation take between 5 - 10 minutes to complete. How can I make this faster? Here is the object the collections are using: internal class DataModel { public string Key1{ get; set; } public string Key2{ get; set; } public string Value1{ get; set; } public string Value2{ get; set; } public byte?     I have a sentence and correction model class Sentence < ActiveRecord::Base has_one :correction class Correction < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :sentence and I'm trying find all sentences which don't have a correction. To do this I'm simply looking for corrections which don't exist i.e. whose id = nil. But it is failing and i can't figure out why Sentence.find :all, :include => :correction, :conditions => {:correction => {:id => nil}} Perhaps its the syntax or maybe just the overall approach. Can anyone help?

Is it done in runtime or generates a file? How do you know its behavior? And most importantly - what is the work flow of using such a framework (what is the step-by-step for creating a test). Can anyone explain? You can choose whichever framework you like for example, just say what it is.

    Hello, I'm using for now List< to iterate through some object collection and find matching element, The problem is that object has only 2 significant values Name and Link (strings) but has some other values wich I dont want to compare. I'm thinkig about using something like HashSet (wich is exactly what I'm searching for - fast) from .NET 3.5 but target framework has to be 2.0. There is something called Power Collections here: http://powercollections.codeplex.com/ But maybe there is other way? If not, can you suggest me a suitable custom collection?

    First a database example: id, product_id, cat, name, value -------------------------------- 1,1,Algemeen,Processor,2 Ghz 2,1,Algemeen,Geheugen,4 GB 3,2,Algemeen,Processor,3 Ghz 4,2,Algemeen,Geheugen,4 GB 5,3,Beeldscherm,Inch,22" 6,3,Beeldscherm,Kleur,Zwart 7,3,Algemeen,Geheugen,3 GB 8,3,Algemeen,Processor,3 Ghz I want with one query to select the follow id's: 1,2,3,4,7,8 Because the cat = algemeen and the name = processor by these products. ID 5,6 are only present by product 3. So, the entry's (cat and name) which are present by all products (product_id) have to be selected. The database contains 80.000 entry's with a lot of diffrent cat's, name's and value's. Is this possible with one query or is some php necessary? How do I do this? My apologies for the bad English.

    I have an image uploading script in which i use the following setup to assign names to uploaded images; $saltdate = date( 'U' ); $saltuser = $_SERVER[REMOTE_ADDR]; $saltname = md5($saltdate.$saltuser); // Recieve, Process, Save uploaded image // Update database with image name The problem that i encounter is that after processing/saving the image, when its time to add this file name to the database, the value of $saltdate seems to have changed and i will get a file name in the database that doesnt exist. How can i make sure that the value doesn't change once i establish it?

    I'm using the GLUTesselator for Polygons. Right now the vertex callback does glvertex2f and gltex2f. Would it be better simply to collect the verticies from the vertex callback in a std::vector then use gldrawarrays()? Or would this actually be less efficient since it has to put the verts and texture coordinates in a vector? Thanks

    Hi all- I have a simple problem, but am having trouble wrapping my head around it. I have an video object that should have one or more "genres". This list of genres should be prepopulated and then the user should just select one or more using autocomplete or some such. Here is the question: Is it worth creating a table with genres for the static selection? Or should it just be included in the presentation layer? If there is a static table, how do we name it correctly. I envision something like this class Video < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :genres ... end class Genre < ... belongs_to :video ... end But then we get a table called genre, that basically maps all the selected genres to their parent videos. There would need to be some static table to reference the static genres. Is this the best way to do it? Sorry if this was rambl-y a little stream of conciousness. Thanks!

    Hello, I am connecting to ADS through ODBC DSN. Everything works well until I tried out my Save Routine. Data is saved quite alright but I get an error that says - "Option value changed". What could this be? Can't find in the help file. The full error message is: ODBC - 2169 [iAnywhere Solutions][Advantage ODBC Driver] Option Value Changed. I sent an email in respect of this to [email protected] since this error number falls between error numbers: 2168 - 2188 Internal Error that should be reported.   • Performance of Serialized Objects in C++

    Hi Everyone, I'm wondering if there is a fast way to dump an STL set to disk and then read it back later. The internal structure of a set is a binary tree, so if I serialize it naively, when I read it back the program will have to go though the process of inserting each element again. I think this is slow even if it is read back in correct order, correct me if I am wrong. Is there a way to "dump" the memory containing the set into disk and then read it back later? That is, keep everything in binary format, thus avoiding the re-insertion. Do the boost serialization tools do this? Thanks!
