  • How do I change an existing XCode target from dynamic to static?

    - by Eric
I'm working with an existing project that produces a dynamic library (Cocoa API). I'd rather generate a static library, but if I change the [Linking|Mach-O Type] field from "Dynamic Library" to "Static Library", both the Clean Project and Build Project complain that the target has an invalid MACH_O_TYPE value of 'staticlib'. Is there a straightforward way to get the build to produce a static .a file? Thanks, Eric

  • Delphi 6: How to search a dynamic array for sub-string quickly?

    - by Robert Oschler
How can I search a dynamic array of char in Delphi 6 for a sub-string and get back an index to a match, not a pointer? I've seen functions in Delphi 6 that do this for strings but not for dynamic char arrays. There is a function called SearchBuf but that function returns a PChar pointer to the match location when what I need is the array index of the match. Thanks.

  • [Castle Dynamic Proxy] What really interceptors do with my c# class?

    - by Pandiya Chendur
I was asked to implement castle dynamic proxy in my asp.net web application and i was going through couple of articles which i got from Castle Project and Code Project about castle dynamic proxy in asp.net web application.... Both articles delt with creating interceptors but i can't get the idea why interceptors are used with classes.... Why should i intercept my class which is behaving properly?

  • Pass data to Child Window in Silverlight 4 using MVVM

    - by Archie
    Hello, I have a datagrid with master detail implementation as follows: <data:DataGrid x:Name="dgData" Width="600" ItemsSource="{Binding Path=ItemCollection}" HorizontalScrollBarVisibility="Hidden" CanUserSortColumns="False" RowDetailsVisibilityChanged="dgData_RowDetailsVisibilityChanged"> <data:DataGrid.Columns> <data:DataGridTextColumn Header="Item" Width="*" Binding="{Binding Item,Mode=TwoWay}"/> <data:DataGridTextColumn Header="Company" Width="*" Binding="{Binding Company,Mode=TwoWay}"/> </data:DataGrid.Columns> <data:DataGrid.RowDetailsTemplate> <DataTemplate> <data:DataGrid x:Name="dgrdRowDetail" Width="400" AutoGenerateColumns="False" HorizontalAlignment="Center" HorizontalScrollBarVisibility="Hidden" Grid.Row="1"> <data:DataGrid.Columns> <data:DataGridTextColumn Header="Date" Width="*" Binding="{Binding Date,Mode=TwoWay}"/> <data:DataGridTextColumn Header="Price" Width="*" Binding="{Binding Price, Mode=TwoWay}"/> <data:DataGridTemplateColumn> <data:DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Button Content="Show More Details" Click="buttonShowDetail_Click"></Button> </DataTemplate> </data:DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> </data:DataGridTemplateColumn> </data:DataGrid.Columns> </data:DataGrid> </DataTemplate> </data:DataGrid.RowDetailsTemplate> </data:DataGrid> I want to open a Child window in clicking the button which shows more details about the product. I'm using MVVM pattern. My Model contains a method which takes the Item name as input and retursn the Details data. My problem is how should I pass the Item to ViewModel which will get the Details data from Model? and where shoukd I open the new Child Window? In View or ViewModel? Please help.Thanks.

  • Access to bound data in IMultiValueConverter.ConvertBack() in C#/WPF

    - by absence
I have a problem with a multibinding: <Canvas> <local:SPoint x:Name="sp" Width="10" Height="10"> <Canvas.Left><!-- irrelevant binding here --></Canvas.Left> <Canvas.Top> <MultiBinding Converter="{StaticResource myConverter}" Mode="TwoWay"> <Binding ElementName="cp1" Path="(Canvas.Top)"/> <Binding ElementName="cp1" Path="Height"/> <Binding ElementName="cp2" Path="(Canvas.Top)"/> <Binding ElementName="cp2" Path="Height"/> <Binding ElementName="sp" Path="Height"/> <Binding ElementName="sp" Path="Slope" Mode="TwoWay"/> </MultiBinding> </Canvas.Top> </local:SPoint> <local:CPoint x:Name="cp1" Width="10" Height="10" Canvas.Left="20" Canvas.Top="150"/> <local:CPoint x:Name="cp2" Width="10" Height="10" Canvas.Left="100" Canvas.Top="20"/> </Canvas> In order to calculate the Canvas.Top value, myConverter needs all the bound values. This works great in Convert(). Going the other way, myConverter should ideally calculate the Slope value (Binding.DoNothing for the rest), but it needs the other values in addition to the Canvas.Top one passed to ConvertBack(). What is the right way to solve this? I have tried making the binding OneWay and create an additional multibinding for local:SPoint.Slope, but that causes infinite recursion and stack overflow. I was thinking the ConverterParameter could be used, but it seems like it's not possible to bind to it.

  • WPF Toolkit Datagrid - how do you turn selection off?

    - by RodH257
I have a datagrid in WPF that I am binding to an object. I have a DataGridCheckBoxColumn on there which I want the users to be able to go through and tick the ones they want. Problem is they have to click twice, once for selection then again to check/uncheck. How on earth do you turn this off, I've been searching for way to long to find the answer to this. The datagrid has SelectionMode and SelectionUnit properties - neither of which accept 'none' or 'go away' Any help is appreciated! My code is below for reference <my:DataGrid Margin="15" Name="dgPreview" AutoGenerateColumns="False" CanUserSortColumns="True" CanUserDeleteRows="True" Background="White" ColumnHeaderHeight="20" VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Visible" RowDetailsVisibilityMode="Visible" > <my:DataGrid.Columns> <my:DataGridCheckBoxColumn MinWidth="50" Width="Auto" Header="Include" Binding="{Binding Include}" /> <my:DataGridTextColumn MinWidth="50" Width="Auto" Header="Override #" Binding="{Binding OverrideNumber}" /> <my:DataGridTextColumn MinWidth="220" Width="*" Header="Name" Binding="{Binding Name}" /> <my:DataGridTextColumn MinWidth="50" Width="Auto" IsReadOnly="True" Header="Preview" Binding="{Binding Preview}" /> </my:DataGrid.Columns> </my:DataGrid>

  • Exception during secure communication implementation

    - by Liran
hi everyone. im trying to implement simple secured client server communiction using WCF. when im launching mt server everty thing is OK , But when im launching my client im getting this error: Error : An error occurred while making the HTTP request to https://localhost:800 0/ExchangeService. This could be due to the fact that the server certificate is not configured properly with HTTP.SYS in the HTTPS case. This could also be caus ed by a mismatch of the security binding between the client and the server. this is the server code : Uri address = new Uri("https://localhost:8000/ExchangeService"); WSHttpBinding binding = new WSHttpBinding(); //Set Binding Params binding.Security.Mode = SecurityMode.Transport; binding.Security.Transport.ClientCredentialType = HttpClientCredentialType.None; binding.Security.Transport.ProxyCredentialType = HttpProxyCredentialType.None; Type contract = typeof(ExchangeService.ServiceContract.ITradeService); ServiceHost host = new ServiceHost(typeof(TradeService)); host.AddServiceEndpoint(contract, binding, address); host.Open(); this is the client configuration (app.config): </client> <bindings> <wsHttpBinding> <binding name="TradeWsHttpBinding"> <security mode="Transport"> <transport clientCredentialType="None" proxyCredentialType ="None"/> </security> </binding> </wsHttpBinding> </bindings> the security configuration at both the client and the server are the same , and i dont need certificate for the server in that kind of security (transport) so why do i get this exception ???? thanks...

  • getting SIGSEGV in std::_List_const_iterator<Exiv2::Exifdatum>::operator++ whilst using jni

  • 2-Way databinding with Entity Framework and WPF DataGrid , is Possible ?

    - by Panindra
    i am working on POS application using SQL CE , WPF , Entity framework 3.5sp2 and iam trying to use data grid as my Order Entry Control for User to enter Products Order . Iam plannning to bind this to enitiy frmae work model , abd looking for 2 way updating ? private void button1_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { using (MasterEntities nwEntities = new MasterEntities()) { var users = from d in nwEntities.Companies select new { d.CompanyId, d.CompanyName, d.Place }; listBox1.DataContext = users; dataGrid1.DataContext = users; // foreach (String c in customers) // { // MessageBox.Show(c.ToString()); // } } } When try to double clikc on the datagrid it through s a error with Caption " Invalid Operation Execption was unhandled " and Message " A TwoWay or OneWayToSource binding cannot work on the read-only property 'CompanyId' of type '<f__AnonymousType0`3[System.Int32,System.String,System.String]'. whats wrong here and my xaml coding goes like this <Grid> <ListBox Name="listBox1" ItemsSource="{Binding}" /> <Button Content="Show " Name="button1" Click="button1_Click" /> <DataGrid AutoGenerateColumns="False" Name="dataGrid1" ItemsSource="{Binding}" > <DataGrid.Columns> <DataGridTextColumn Header=" ID" Binding="{Binding CompanyId}"/> <DataGridTextColumn Header="Company Name" Binding="{Binding CompanyName}"/> <DataGridTextColumn Header="Place" Binding="{Binding Place}" /> </DataGrid.Columns> </DataGrid> </Grid> EDITED : i made the changes shown by @vorrtex, But, then i added another button to save the chages and in button click event i added follwing code , butit showing Updating error private void button2_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { nwEntities.SaveChanges(); }

  • Prevent event from parent element to child element in jquery

    - by sonam
I have binded event as below: $(document).delegate('.budget', 'click', function(e){ if ($(this).hasClass('collapsed')) { $(this).removeClass('collapsed'); $(this).addClass('expanded'); } else if ($(this).hasClass('expanded')) { $(this).removeClass('expanded'); $(this).addClass('collapsed'); } }); Basically this toggles between expand and collapse. I have another event binded as below: $('[id^="tree"]').delegate('.collapsed', 'click', function(e){ var elementId = $(this).attr('id'); hideChildElement(elementId); }); The elements binded by the second event binding are parents of elements binded by first event binding. What happens is that on clicking on the element from the first binding event method also triggers the event binded by second event binding. I want to prevent any events from binding from second event binding to 1st event binding method. If element A is binded to click event from first event binding and B is binded to second event binding (A is inside B or A is child of B), I dont want any event of B to propagate to A. Note I tried e.stopImmediatePropagation(); but did not worked

  • What is the actual MSMQ address used by the respective WCF binding?

    - by mark
Dear ladies and sirs. This question is related to this one. Given that WCF binding uses net.msmq:// URL, for instance net.msmq://server/private/nc_queue, how can one know what is the actual MSMQ address to which this URL is translated? Is there some kind of a trace that can be activated? Or an external tool that would help one capture the address? Thanks. EDIT1 OK, I owe a clarification. One can talk directly to MSMQ through the respective .NET API. In the case of MSMQ over its native port 1801, I would use this MSMQ address: FormatName:Direct=OS:server\private$\nc_queue When MSMQ is configured over HTTP, the address changes to something like this: FormatName:Direct=http://server/msmq/nc_queue But the WCF binding uses a standard URL to describe the address, like: net.msmq://server/private/nc_queue So, how can I know what is the actual MSMQ address (the one with the FormatName) to which the net.msmq:// is translated?

  • What is a good pattern for binding a collection of objects coming from WCF, in Silverlight?

    - by Krishna
Hi there, I've got a question about a Silverlight WCF Databinding pattern: There are many examples about how to bind data using {Binding} expressions in XAML, how to make async calls to a WCF service, set the DataContext property of a element in the UI, how to use ObservableCollections and INotifyPropertyChanged, INotifyCollectionChanged and so on. Background: I'm using the MVVM pattern, and have a Silverlight ItemsControl, whose ItemsSource is set to an ObservableCollection property on my ViewModel object. My view is of course the XAML which has the {Binding}. Say the model object is called 'Metric'. My ViewModel periodically makes calls to a WCF service that returns ObservableCollection. MetricInfo is the data transfer object (DTO). My question is two-fold: Is there any way to avoid copying each property of MetricInfo to the model class - Metric? When the WCF calls completes, is there any way to make sure I sync the items which are in both my local ObservableCollection and the result of the WCF call - without having to first clear out all the items in the local collection and then add all the ones from the WCF call result? thanks, Krishna

  • Can't bind gnome-do to Super + Space or Ctrl+Alt+Space

    - by johnf
With today's updates to 12.04 I can no longer bind gnome-do to either ctrl+alt+space or super+space. With 11.10 it wasn't possible to use super+space, on a fresh install of 12.04 super+space was working properly. Today it stopped working, if I try to bind control+alt+space then the controlkey shows up in the keyboard binding as Primary. I am running Unity, which in the past blocked super+space, it seemed to have stopped blocking it on 12.04. It shouldn't affect ctrl+alt+space. Configuring either binding produces the following error in the gnome-do output: libdo-WARNING **: Binding 'space' failed! libdo-WARNING **: Binding 'space' failed! I'm stuck binding to shift+alt+space.

  • WPF: Is it possible to nest TreeView items with a binding expression?

    - by John Gietzen
    Lets say I have the following data: <XmlDataProvider x:Key="Values"> <x:XData> <folder name="C:"> <folder name="stuff" /> <folder name="things" /> <folder name="windows"> <folder name="system32" /> </folder> </folder> </x:XData> </XmlDataProvider> How can I get that into a treeview? I can't seem to grok hierarchical binding... I know that I can get it in there in C# code, but I wanted to do it with a binding expression.

  • Why does the data binding in this validation example work?

    - by MartyIX
I'm wondering how exactly the XAML sample (MSDN sample) works: <Style x:Key="textBoxInError" TargetType="{x:Type TextBox}"> <Style.Triggers> <Trigger Property="Validation.HasError" Value="true"> <Setter Property="ToolTip" Value="{Binding RelativeSource={x:Static RelativeSource.Self}, Path=(Validation.Errors)[0].ErrorContent}"/> </Trigger> </Style.Triggers> </Style> Questions: (Validation.Errors)[0].ErrorContent - Is this code somehow checked by WPF? Because Validation.Errors may be an empty collection and in ordinary C# code this code may throw an exception. If this data-binding returns null for valid input - the null value is then casted to empty string (in a text control for example)? The index 0 corresponds to the first error message. How can I return more error messages from Validate method? Thank you for responses!

  • Get Ready For C# 4.0!

Visual Studio 2010 is here! And of course this means that C# 4.0 is also here. Lets do a quick review of the new language features added in this release. Dynamic The dynamic keyword is a key feature of this release. It closes the gap between dynamic and statically-typed languages. Now you can create dynamic objects and let their types be determined at run time. With the addition of the System.Dynamic namespace, you can create expandable objects and advanced class wrappers, and you can provide interoperability...Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? We already have over 80 articles in several categories including Silverlight. Take a look: here.

  • How do I subtract a binding using a Guice module override?

    - by Jimmy Yuen Ho Wong
So according to my testing, If you have something like: Module modA = new AbstractModule() { public void configure() { bind(A.class).to(AImpl.class); bind(C.class).to(ACImpl.class); bind(E.class).to(EImpl.class); } } Module modB = New AbstractModule() { public void configure() { bind(A.class).to(C.class); bind(D.class).to(DImpl.class); } } Guice.createInjector(Modules.overrides(modA, modB)); // gives me binding for A, C, E AND D with A overridden to A->C. But what if you want to remove the binding for E in modB? I can't seem to find a way to do this without having to break the bind for E into a separate module. Is there a way?

  • Can you use data binding with the Content property of a WPF Frame?

    - by dthrasher
I can use data binding to set the initial Content of a WPF Frame, but subsequent changes to the the bound property (implemented using INotifyPropertyChange) do not seem to change the content. Also, does anyone know if binding directly to the Content property in this way will cause the bound item to appear in the Frame or NavigationWindow's journal? Some context: I realize that I should probably be using the NavigationService to interact with the Frame, but I'm attempting to follow the MVVM pattern. It seems like it would be much simpler to databind to the Content property...

  • Is there a .NET BCL class to help with hand-rolled property path binding?

    - by Wayne
WPF and Silverlight have a data binding model whereby I can provide a Binding with a Path which comprises a dot-notation of property accessors down from a DataContext to a specific value inside a complex object graph (eg. MyDataContext.RootProperty.SubProperty.Thing.Value) I have a (non-UI) requirement to accept such a path expressed as a simple string, and to use reflection on an object which is (hopefully) of a type which exposes the right property getters and setters in order to read and/or write values to those properties. Before I go off and start writing the parser and reflection code, is there a handy Framework 3.5 BCL class to help with this?

  • Workaround for PHP SOAP request failure when wsdl defines service port binding as https and port 80?

    - by scooterhanson
I am consuming a SOAP web service using php5's soap extension. The service' wsdl was generated using Axis java2wsdl, and whatever options are used during generation result in the port binding url being listed as https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx**:80** If I download the wsdl to my server, remove the port 80 specification from the port binding location value, and reference the local file in my soapclient call it works fine. However, if I try to reference it remotely (or download it and reference it locally, as-is) the call fails with a soap fault. I have no input into the service side so I can't make them change their wsdl-generation process. So, unless there's a way to make the soapclient ignorant of the port, I'm stuck with using a locally modified copy of someone else' wsdl (which I'd rather not do). Any thoughts on how to make my soapclient ignore the port 80?
