  • Expanding the xamwebgrid row to show additional details

    - by user252160
    I have the following idea: when the user clicks on the more... button of a grid row, the row must expand into a detailed state that shows additional details for the current entry. I know that xamwebgrid provides an expand command, but isn't it just for hierarchical data purposes? How can I display some movie screenshots let's say, only in expanded view ?

  • How to start a ColorAnimation from a MultiTrigger in a ControlTemplate ?

    - by banzai
    Hi all I have the following ControlTemplate for a WPF TabItem: <ControlTemplate x:Key="DefaultTabItemTemplate" TargetType="{x:Type TabItem}"> <ControlTemplate.Resources> <SolidColorBrush x:Key="UnselectedForegroundBrush" Color="#414141" /> <!-- Unique color for this template --> <SolidColorBrush x:Key="SelectedForegroundBrush" Color="#457581" /> <!-- Unique color for this template --> <SolidColorBrush x:Key="MouseOverTextBrush" x:Name="local_MouseOverTextBrush" Color="#FFF2F2F2"/> </ControlTemplate.Resources> <Grid> <Border Name="Border" MinHeight="30" Margin="0,0,0,-1" Background="{DynamicResource TabControlBackgroundBrush}" BorderBrush="{DynamicResource ndt_DisabledForegroundBrush}" BorderThickness="1,1,1,1" CornerRadius="0,0,0,0" > <ContentPresenter x:Name="ContentSite" VerticalAlignment="Center" HorizontalAlignment="Center" TextElement.FontStretch="UltraExpanded" TextElement.FontWeight="UltraBlack" ContentSource="Header" Margin="12,2,12,2" RecognizesAccessKey="True" /> </Border> </Grid> <ControlTemplate.Triggers> <Trigger Property="IsSelected" Value="True"> <Setter Property="Panel.ZIndex" Value="2" /> <Setter TargetName="Border" Property="Background" Value="{DynamicResource ndt_TabControlBackgroundBrush}" /> <Setter TargetName="Border" Property="BorderThickness" Value="1,1,1,0" /> <Setter TargetName="ContentSite" Property="TextElement.Foreground" Value="{StaticResource SelectedForegroundBrush}" /> </Trigger> <Trigger Property="IsEnabled" Value="False"> <Setter TargetName="Border" Property="Background" Value="{DynamicResource ndt_DisabledBackgroundBrush}" /> <Setter TargetName="ContentSite" Property="TextElement.Foreground" Value="{DynamicResource ndt_DarkGray}" /> <Setter Property="Foreground" Value="{DynamicResource ndt_DisabledForegroundBrush}" /> </Trigger> <MultiTrigger> <MultiTrigger.Conditions> <Condition Property="IsMouseOver" Value="True" /> <Condition Property="IsSelected" Value="False" /> </MultiTrigger.Conditions> <Setter TargetName="Border" Property="Background" Value="{DynamicResource ndt_NavigationAreaBrush}" /> <Setter TargetName="ContentSite" Property="TextElement.Foreground" Value="{DynamicResource MouseOverTextBrush}" /> </MultiTrigger> </ControlTemplate.Triggers> </ControlTemplate> Everything works fine so far. The MultiTrigger at the end of the template defines a mouse over effect for not selected TabItems. Now I thought the change in color for this mouse over effect looks a bit brash so let´s animate it with a ColorAnimation. But don´t count the chickens before they hatch - everything I tried didn´t work. Maybe I oversee the obvious - but how to achieve this feat ? Thanks in advance banzai

  • Which ASP.NET MVC controls toolset do you prefer?

    - by papakost
    I have seen demos of ComponentArt's and Telerik's toolsets. I am interested mainly on finding a grid control, a tabstrip control, a menu control and a treeview control Do you know any company besides the forementioned that offers ASP.NET MVC controls solutions? Which one do you think is the best/most reliable?

  • Is there a declarative way to force a set of Buttons to be the same size?

    - by Jekke
    I'm writing a form in XAML that has multiple buttons with content of different sizes (ie "OK" and "Save As...") Ideally, I'd like them all to be the smallest size possible to hold the largest content. In the example above, both buttons would be the width necessary to hold "Save As..." plus the margins and padding. If they were Grid cells, I could use a SizeGroup. Is there a similar declaration for Buttons?

  • How do I display many images (by imagefield) in all my nodes of a type?

    - by Leon
    The thing is that I have hundreds of nodes each with 4 to 12 images all of them around the same size in an imagefield but I want to order that so it looks at the end in a grid or something like that. I know that panels and views are the answer but I think I've seen all of the tutorials available but nothing. If anyone know where can I find something like I need, I'll be very gratefull.

  • access static class from asp.net form

    - by Eden
    I am using <%# MyFormatClass(Eval("fieldname")) % to display data in a grid view on my page. MyFormatClass works fine, but now I want to move it to a central location that can be used by many pages. When I try to access the class <%# Utils.MyFormatClass(Eval("fieldname")) % it no longer works. Is this something we are allowed to do?

  • Play animation (storyboard) backwards

    - by drasto
    Is there a simple way to play some StoryBoad backward (reversed) ? As there is a method Storyboard.Begin() I would expect that there is some method like "Storyboard.BeginReversed()" but I cannot find it. If there is no way to play an animation backwards that I have to write for most of my animations complementary animations. That smells bad to me (code duplication of some kind). Basically I just animate a Grid that shows and than hides.

  • SelectedItem in ListView binding

    - by Matt
    I'm new in wfp. In my sample application I'm using a ListView to display contents of property. I don't know how to bind SelectedItem in ListView to property and then bind to TextBlock. Window.xaml <Window x:Class="Exec.App" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="Main window" Height="446" Width="475" > <Grid> <ListView Name="ListViewPersonDetails" Margin="15,12,29,196" ItemsSource="{Binding Persons}" SelectedItem="{Binding CurrentSelectedPerson}"> <ListView.View> <GridView> <GridViewColumn Header="FirstName" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding FstNamePerson}"/> <GridViewColumn Header="LastName" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding SndNamePerson}"/> <GridViewColumn Header="Address" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding AdressPerson}"/> </GridView> </ListView.View> </ListView> <TextBlock Height="23" Name="textFirstNameBlock" FontSize="12" Margin="97,240,155,144"> <Run Text="Name: " /> <Run Text="{Binding CurrentSelectedPerson.FstNamePerson}" FontWeight="Bold" /> </TextBlock> <TextBlock Height="23" Name="textLastNameBlock" FontSize="12" Margin="97,263,155,121"> <Run Text="Branch: " /> <Run Text="{Binding CurrentSelectedPerson.SndNamePerson}" FontWeight="Bold" /> </TextBlock> <TextBlock Height="23" Name="textAddressBlock" FontSize="12" Margin="0,281,155,103" HorizontalAlignment="Right" Width="138"> <Run Text="City: " /> <Run Text="{Binding CurrentSelectedPerson.AdressPerson}" FontWeight="Bold" /> </TextBlock> </Grid> </Window> MainWindow.xaml.cs Tman manager = new Tman(); private List<Person> persons; public List<Person> Persons { get { return this.persons; } set { if (value != null) { this.persons = value; this.NotifyPropertyChanged("Data"); } } } private Person currentSelectedPerson; public Person CurrentSelectedPerson { get { return currentSelectedPerson; } set { this.currentSelectedPerson = value; this.NotifyPropertyChanged("CurrentSelectedItem"); } } public event PropertyChangedEventHandler PropertyChanged; private void NotifyPropertyChanged(string propertyName) { var handler = this.PropertyChanged; if (handler != null) { handler(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs(propertyName)); } } private void Window_Loaded(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e){ ListViewPersonDetails.ItemsSource= manager.GetPersons(); } Person.cs class Person { public string FirstName { get; set; } public string LastName { get; set; } public string Address { get; set; } } Thanks for any help.

  • Estimating the boundary of arbitrarily distributed data

    - by Dave
    I have two dimensional discrete spatial data. I would like to make an approximation of the spatial boundaries of this data so that I can produce a plot with another dataset on top of it. Ideally, this would be an ordered set of (x,y) points that matplotlib can plot with the plt.Polygon() patch. My initial attempt is very inelegant: I place a fine grid over the data, and where data is found in a cell, a square matplotlib patch is created of that cell. The resolution of the boundary thus depends on the sampling frequency of the grid. Here is an example, where the grey region are the cells containing data, black where no data exists. OK, problem solved - why am I still here? Well.... I'd like a more "elegant" solution, or at least one that is faster (ie. I don't want to get on with "real" work, I'd like to have some fun with this!). The best way I can think of is a ray-tracing approach - eg: from xmin to xmax, at y=ymin, check if data boundary crossed in intervals dx y=ymin+dy, do 1 do 1-2, but now sample in y An alternative is defining a centre, and sampling in r-theta space - ie radial spokes in dtheta increments. Both would produce a set of (x,y) points, but then how do I order/link neighbouring points them to create the boundary? A nearest neighbour approach is not appropriate as, for example (to borrow from Geography), an isthmus (think of Panama connecting N&S America) could then close off and isolate regions. This also might not deal very well with the holes seen in the data, which I would like to represent as a different plt.Polygon. The solution perhaps comes from solving an area maximisation problem. For a set of points defining the data limits, what is the maximum contiguous area contained within those points To form the enclosed area, what are the neighbouring points for the nth point? How will the holes be treated in this scheme - is this erring into topology now? Apologies, much of this is me thinking out loud. I'd be grateful for some hints, suggestions or solutions. I suspect this is an oft-studied problem with many solution techniques, but I'm looking for something simple to code and quick to run... I guess everyone is, really! Cheers, David

  • Insane CPU usage in QT 5.0

    - by GravityScore
    I'm having trouble using the QT framework, particularly with the paintEvent of QWidget. I have a QWidget set up, and am overriding the paintEvent of it. I need to render a bunch of rectangles (grid system), 51 by 19, leading to 969 rectangles being drawn. This is done in a for loop. Then I also need to draw an image on each on of these grids. The QWidget is added to a QMainWindow, which is shown. This works nicely, but it's using up 47% of CPU per window open! And I want to allow the user to open multiple windows like this, likey having 3-4 open at a time, which puts the CPU close to 150%. Why does this happen? Here is the paintEvent contents. The JNI calls don't cause the CPU usage, commenting them out doesn't lower it, but commenting out the p.fillRect and Renderer::renderString (which draws the image) lowers the CPU to about 5%. // Background QPainter p(this); p.fillRect(0, 0, this->width(), this->height(), QBrush(QColor(0, 0, 0))); // Lines for (int y = 0; y < Global::terminalHeight; y++) { // Line and color method ID jmethodID lineid = Manager::jenv->GetMethodID(this->javaClass, "getLine", "(I)Ljava/lang/String;"); error(); jmethodID colorid = Manager::jenv->GetMethodID(this->javaClass, "getColorLine", "(I)Ljava/lang/String;"); error(); // Values jstring jl = (jstring) Manager::jenv->CallObjectMethod(this->javaObject, lineid, jint(y)); error(); jstring cjl = (jstring) Manager::jenv->CallObjectMethod(this->javaObject, colorid, jint(y)); error(); // Convert to C values const char *l = Manager::jenv->GetStringUTFChars(jl, 0); const char *cl = Manager::jenv->GetStringUTFChars(cjl, 0); QString line = QString(l); QString color = QString(cl); // Render line for (int x = 0; x < Global::terminalWidth; x++) { QColor bg = Renderer::colorForHex(color.mid(x + color.length() / 2, 1)); // Cell location on widget int cellx = x * Global::cellWidth + Global::xoffset; int celly = y * Global::cellHeight + Global::yoffset; // Background p.fillRect(cellx, celly, Global::cellWidth, Global::cellHeight, QBrush(bg)); // String // Renders the image to the grid Renderer::renderString(p, tc, text, cellx, celly); } // Release Manager::jenv->ReleaseStringUTFChars(jl, l); Manager::jenv->ReleaseStringUTFChars(cjl, cl); }

  • Mouse left button up event and openfiledialog

    - by phm
    I have few images in a grid, then when i click a button, a "open file dialog" comes up.(of course, over the images) Microsoft.Win32.OpenFileDialog dlgOpenFiles = new Microsoft.Win32.OpenFileDialog(); dlgOpenFile.DoModal(); The images have a LeftButtonUp event attached. The problem is that if i select a file by double clicking it, the open file dialog closes(which is good), but besides that, the image behind the clicked file is receiving a LeftButtonUp message which is not good at all. I am using wpf/c#/vs2010

  • web service filling gridview awfully slow, as is paging/sorting

    - by nat
    Hi I am making a page which calls a web service to fill a gridview this is returning alot of data, and is horribly slow. i ran the svcutil.exe on the wsdl page and it generated me the class and config so i have a load of strongly typed objects coming back from each request to the many service functions. i am then using LINQ to loop around the objects grabbing the necessary information as i go, but for each row in the grid i need to loop around an object, and grab another list of objects (from the same request) and loop around each of them.. 1 to many parent object child one.. all of this then gets dropped into a custom datatable a row at a time.. hope that makes sense.... im not sure there is any way to speed up the initial load. but surely i should be able to page/sort alot faster than it is doing. as at the moment, it appears to be taking as long to page/sort as it is to load initially. i thought if when i first loaded i put the datasource of the grid in the session, that i could whip it out of the session to deal with paging/sorting and the like. basically it is doing the below protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { //init the datatable //grab the filter vars (if there are any) WebServiceObj WS = WSClient.Method(args); //fill the datatable (around and around we go) foreach (ParentObject po in WS.ReturnedObj) { var COs = from ChildObject c in WS.AnotherReturnedObj where c.whatever.equals(...) ...etc foreach(ChildObject c in COs){ myDataTable.Rows.Add(tlo.this, tlo.that, c.thisthing, c.thatthing, etc......); } } grdListing.DataSource = myDataTable; Session["dt"] = myDataTable; grdListing.DataBind(); } protected void Listing_PageIndexChanging(object sender, GridViewPageEventArgs e) { grdListing.PageIndex = e.NewPageIndex; grdListing.DataSource = Session["dt"] as DataTable; grdListing.DataBind(); } protected void Listing_Sorting(object sender, GridViewSortEventArgs e) { DataTable dt = Session["dt"] as DataTable; DataView dv = new DataView(dt); string sortDirection = " ASC"; if (e.SortDirection == SortDirection.Descending) sortDirection = " DESC"; dv.Sort = e.SortExpression + sortDirection; grdListing.DataSource = dv.ToTable(); grdListing.DataBind(); } am i doing this totally wrongly? or is the slowness just coming from the amount of data being bound in/return from the Web Service.. there are maybe 15 columns(ish) and a whole load of rows.. with more being added to the data the webservice is querying from all the time any suggestions / tips happily received thanks

  • Best way for cross browser applications

    - by Xpiatio
    In our organization, we are still on .net 1.1 environment, using javascript, a few open source applications/widgets. Development is done using Visual Studio 2003, grid view, and iframes. Our application works in Internet Explorer 7 and IE 8 (in compatibilily mode). Can anyone give any basic steps we can take to get our application to work cross browsers? What are the starting locations we can get at to start making existing code work in different browsers?

  • Silverlight 4 Datagrid Sorting

    - by DavyMac23
    I'm having a heck of a time trying to get a silverlight datagrid to properly sort, and do so quickly (sub 1/10 second). Here's the scenario: -WCF callback every 1/5 of a second -Take the callback, match up to the existing record in an ObservableCollection -Update the ObservableCollection's properties -Bind the grid. I've tried a linq query, PagedCollectionView, and observablecollection.select(), all are waaaaaaay too slow, and introduce 12+ second delays in processing. Anyone else experience this?
