But once I make it stop using [player stop](where player is the object of AVAudioplayer] It is not starting again to play after some time when I call method [player play], So can any one tell me how to do the same in my application??     could anyone help me on my problem, my /var/plone folder's ownership was accidentally changed. can anyone tell me who the owner of this folder? could it be www:root or www-data:root or root:root? btw i changed it to www:root and some images and styles cannot be loaded on my site. Everytime somebody opens the site, it keeps loading and loading and after a few minutes it stops and some images are not loaded and style are not well displayed as it is supposed to be. thanks

I would like to try to disable as many dlls and programs from loading at boot as I can. What files in vista do I change to go about doing this? All the guides I've seen do it from within Vista. I have a BartPE bootable cd that I'm using to get into the file system. I just need to know which files to modify. Thanks much for reading

  • Wordpress serving PHP but not CSS or JS

    I'm trying to set up an Amazon EC2 instance to run a Django app and a WP instance side by side, differing only by the incoming URL. Initially, accessing the site via mysite.com/wordpress worked, but I also needed to catch the incoming requests from a subdomain address blog.mysite.com. To do that, I created a default file in /etc/apache2/sites-enabled and included two virtualhost directives, one of which was <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName www.blog.mysite.com <Directory /var/www/wordpress> Order deny,allow Allow from all </Directory> </VirtualHost> This created some errors with the other virtualhost, so I restored the default 000-default file configuration and restarted. Now, accessing mysite.com/wordpress takes forever, and even then the CSS and JS files are not loading. Iside the Firebug Net tab, I can see the HTML response, but the CSS and JS files are not loading at all. What happened here?

  • Avoid Windows Explorer to load complete executable file

    On Windows Vista, when browsing to a network folder containing executables, Windows Explorer seems to load all the files completely just to be able to show the executable icon (the resource monitor indicates loads of traffic during the loading of the directory) On XP only a part of the file is loaded. Is there a way to avoid the complete loading of these files? Note that disabling my anti virus does not help. Update: This only happens with for executable linked with /SWAPRUN:NET. Microsoft confirmed this as a bug in Vista, but they seem not very eager to fix this.

  • Unexpected "waiting for localhost"?

    So I ran into something that kind of worried me today. Lately my computer has been kind of slow and I'm dealing with that, but today when I opened Facebook in Google Chrome, I noticed a message in the bottom left corner while it was loading the site that said "Waiting for localhost". It was brief and I managed to notice it because my computer is slower than it used to & it caused Chrome to hang briefly, long enough for me to read it. As I'm quite confident in that Facebook isn't running on my localhost, I'm wondering what could potentially make Chrome wait for localhost while I'm loading webpages from external servers. Is there a malware of some kind that I should be worrying about? Unfortunately I have no other information than this to go on, and I have no idea how to further investigate this, if it generated any logs or whatever. I'd appreciate any help in figuring out this matter!

  • What happened to the ability to go back in a already-loaded YouTube video?

    For many years, my experience with YouTube had been, consistently and on any computer/browser, that once a section of that video were loaded, or the whole video, if you wanted to see an earlier part of the video again, you could simply click on the loading bar to that area and you would instantly go to that part. More recently (6 months?) this has changed. Now, clicking in an earlier part of the video forces a reload of the whole video (that is, the grey bar goes back to 0) and you have to hope your loading will be fast enough to make waiting to watch it again even worth it. It is a huge regression in usability for me. Is there any way to watch YouTube videos in the "old way"? I use Firefox 17.0.1 at this point and have an updated (I think) Flash, but I'd be willing to try other browsers or versions if it made a difference.

It allows the user to input a music phrase which the piece will be based on, or lets them choose to have a phrase generated randomly. I had been using the following method (successfully) to simply stop and start the music, which runs in a thread using the Player class from JFugue. Basically, the idea is to make it simulate "real time" adjustments to the generated music for the user. Well, I have been beating my head against the wall on this for a couple of weeks. I've read all the standard java documentation, researched, read, and searched forums, and I have tried many different ideas, none of which have succeeded. The problem I've run into with all approaches I've tried is that when I start the new thread with the new, updated musical pattern, all the old threads ALSO start, and there is a cacophony of unintelligible noise instead of my desired output. From what I've gathered, the issue seems to be that all the methods I've come across require that the thread is able to periodically check the value of a "flag" variable and then shut itself down from within its "run" block in response to that variable. However, since my thread makes a call that takes several minutes minimum to execute (playing the music), and I need to terminate it WHILE it is executing this, there is really no safe way to do so. So, I'm wondering if there is something I'm missing when it comes to threads, or if perhaps I can accomplish my goal using a totally different approach. Any ideas or guidance is greatly appreciated!
