  • CORE Keygen Problem

    - by David Schiefer
Hi, after fighting several versions of the CoreKeyGen created by some "minamoto" guy, a new version has appeared. This version is particularly sophisticated and seems to modify the actual binary itself, using a dylib known as libbassmod.dylib (this is in the keygen's mac os folder). Has anyone ever come across this & can give me advice on how to stop it? If so, how can I stop the keygen? it seems like the library can see what calls my app makes and stop them somehow, I'm not too sure.

  • core-plot barchart does not work!!

  • Core Data Inferred Migration – Automatic "lightweight" vs Manual

    - by ohhorob
I've updated the model of an existing iPhone app in some simple ways (remove attribute, add attribute, remove index), and can use automatic lightweight migration to migrate the persistent store. Due to the typical size of the data set, the processing time is not insignificant, and warrants feedback for the user. NSMigrationManager provides a simple but useful migrationProgress value that sends KVO notifications as the migration is performed. That forms the basis of providing feedback, however attempting to use an inferred model ([NSMappingModel inferredMappingModelForSourceModel:destinationModel:error:]) results in drastically different timing for the exact same dataset. Profile results on and original iPhone (2G) Automatic inferred lightweight migration PROFILE: CacheManager -migrateStore PROFILE: 0.6130 (+0.6130) models loaded PROFILE: 1.1759 (+0.5629) delegate -CacheManagerWillMigrate: PROFILE: 1.2516 (+0.0757) persistent store coordinator loaded PROFILE: 5.1436 (+3.8920) automatic lightweight migration completed PROFILE: 5.5435 (+0.3999) delegate -CacheManagerDidFinishMigration:withError: Manual inferred migration PROFILE: CacheManager -migrateStore PROFILE: 0.6660 (+0.6660) models loaded PROFILE: 1.1471 (+0.4811) inferred mapping model generated PROFILE: 1.4046 (+0.2574) delegate -CacheManagerWillMigrate: PROFILE: 1.5058 (+0.1013) persistent store coordinator loaded PROFILE: 22.6952 (+21.1894) manual migration completed PROFILE: 23.1478 (+0.4525) delegate -CacheManagerDidFinishMigration:withError: So, with an inferred model, the manual migration takes over 5 times longer than automatic! It's a big inconsistency, and the lightweight option that NSPersistentStoreCoordinator -addPersistentStoreWithType:configuration:URL:options:error: provides absolutely no indication of progress while processing. Can anybody provide a supported way to get the migrationProgress values during automatic migration, OR a way to configure an inferred mapping model to be as fast during manual processing as automatic?

  • Cocoa Core Data - Efficient Related Entities Counts

    - by Gary
I am working on my first iPhone application and I've hit a wall. I'm trying to develop a 'statistics' page for a three entity relationship. My entities are the following: Department - Name, Address, Building, etc. People - Name, Gender (BOOL), Phone, etc If I have fetched a specific department how do I filter those results and only return people that are Male (Gender == 0)? If I do NSLog(@"%d", [department.people count]); I get the correct number of people in that department so I know I'm in the neighborhood. I know I could re-fetch and modify the predicate each time but with 20+ stats in my app that seems inefficient. Thanks for any advice!

  • My Core Animation block isn't working like I'd expect

    - by Alex Reynolds
I have a UIView called activityView, which contains two subviews activityIndicator and cancelOperationsButton. These views are embedded in a XIB and wired up to my view controller. I have two methods that deal with activating (showing) and deactivating (hiding) these two subviews: - (void) enableActivityIndicator { [activityIndicator startAnimating]; [cancelOperationsButton setHidden:NO]; } - (void) disableActivityIndicator { [activityIndicator stopAnimating]; [cancelOperationsButton setHidden:YES]; } By themselves, these two methods work fine. To give this a bit of polish, I'd like to add an animation that fades these subviews in and out: - (void) enableActivityIndicator { [activityIndicator startAnimating]; [cancelOperationsButton setHidden:NO]; [UIView beginAnimations:@"fadeIn" context:nil]; [UIView setAnimationDelay:0.0f]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:1.0f]; [UIView setAnimationCurve:UIViewAnimationCurveEaseIn]; activityView.alpha = 1.0f; [UIView commitAnimations]; } - (void) disableActivityIndicator { [UIView beginAnimations:@"fadeOut" context:nil]; [UIView setAnimationDelay:0.0f]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:1.0f]; [UIView setAnimationCurve:UIViewAnimationCurveEaseOut]; activityView.alpha = 0.0f; [UIView commitAnimations]; [activityIndicator stopAnimating]; [cancelOperationsButton setHidden:YES]; } But the animations are not working — the subviews just show up or disappear without the parent view's alpha property having an effect on transparency. How should I write these methods to get the fade-in, fade-out effect I am after?

  • Core Data => Adding a related object always nil

    - by mongeta
Hello, I have two tables related: DataEntered and Model DataEntered -currentModel Model One DataEntered can have only ONE Model, but a Model can stay into many DataEntered. The relationship is from DataEntered to Model (No To Many-relathionship) and no inverse relation. XCode generates the setters for DataEnteredModel: @property (nonatomic, retain) NSSet * current_model; - (void)addCurrent_modelObject:(CarModel *)value; - (void)addCurrent_model:(NSSet *)value; I have a Table and when I select a model, I want to store it to DataEntered: Model *model = [fetchedResultsController objectAtIndexPath:indexPath]; NSLog(@"Model %@",model.name); // ==> gives me the correct model name [dataEntered addCurrent_modelObject:model]; // ==> always nil [dataEntered setCurrent_model:[fetchedResultsController objectAtIndexPath:indexPath]]; // the same, always nil what I'm doing wrong ????? thanks, r.

  • iPhone CALayer Stacking Order

    - by Brian
I'm using CALayers to draw to a UITableViewCell. I'm trying to figure out how layers are ordered with the content of the UITableViewCell. For instance: I add labels to the UITableViewCell in my cellForRow:atIndexPath method In the drawRect method of UITableViewCell I draw some content using the current context Also, in drawRect I add a few sublayers So what would be the order of these elements. I know I have zPosition on the CALayers but I'm not sure if they are always on top of any subviews of the UITableViewCell. And I'm not sure where the content that is drawn in drawRect comes in the order. Any help or links to documentation would be great. I have read through the Core Animation Programming Guide and didn't see anywhere where this would be answered.

  • CORE DATA objectId changes constantly

    - by mongeta
Hello, I have some data that I export into an XML file and put in a remote FTP Server. I have to identified each object with a unique attribute, it doesn't matter wich is, but must be persistent always = it can never change. I don't want to create a unique attribute, sequence, serial, etc. I'm using the objectID but every time I use it a get a new reference. I know that before the object has been saved, it has a 'temporal id', but once it's saved, it gets the definitive. I'm not seeing this, never. When I export, just fetch all data and loop, and always I get a new reference: NSURL *objectID = [[personalDataObject objectID] URIRepresentation]; // some of id received for the SAME OBJECT (no changes made, saved, ...) // 61993296 // 62194624 thanks, r. edit I was using %d instead of %@, now the returned data is: x-coredata://F46F3300-8FED-4876-B0BF-E4D2A9D80913/DataEntered/p1 x-coredata://F46F3300-8FED-4876-B0BF-E4D2A9D80913/DataEntered/p2

  • Objects do not retain the frame that I give then when using CGAffineTransforms with Core Animation

    - by user170030
Hi, I'm making a game where when a card is touched, it grows so that it is focused, and when you 'let go', it goes back to its original size and place. This seems pretty standard, however, when I add cards and move the hand around to accommodate different numbers of cards, touching the card makes it go to its original place, and not to the new place. This has been stumping me for a while now Any hints would be much appreciated. Thanks !

  • UITableView with Core Data and fetchedResultsController - don't want to call it at start up

    - by zebulon
Hi all, I started with the Navigation-based application. I have a UITableView that shows the content fetched from CoreData - using the - (NSFetchedResultsController *)fetchedResultsController from the template. The thing is that I don't want to fill the TableView with the results at the start-up, instead I want to fill the TableView with the results from a search. In my app I have an UITextField, where the user can type a string. And from that string, using predicate, I want to fill the UITableView with the results. In other words, at start-up, the UITableView should be empty and later filled with the search-results. Does anyone have an idea on how to accomplish this? Thanks in advance! EDIT: Solved it by moving out if (![fetchedResultsController_ performFetch:&error]) { and calling it later. I feel a bit stupid ;)

  • Core Data: fetch an NSManagedObject by its properties

    - by niklassaers
Hi guys, I have an object NetworkMember that has no attributes but is defined by its relationships Person, Network, Level and Role. In my app, I've found all the four relationships, but I want to make sure not to double-register my NetworkMember, thus I'd like to search for this NSManagedObject before instantiating it. How should I write a query that queries for an NSManagedObject just consisting of relationships? Cheers Nik

  • When does validation happen in Core Data?

    - by dontWatchMyProfile
From the docs: If you make changes to managed objects associated with a given context, those changes remain local to that context until you commit the changes by sending the context a save: message. At that point—provided that there are no validation errors—the changes are committed to the store. So does that essentially mean, that validation happens automatically as soon as I call -save?

  • How to delete drupal's unused core modules correctly?

    - by vegatron
Hi I want to delete the unused drupal modules like ( blog, Forum, taxonomy ...) but I'm worried if I delete the modules from the modules directory I might cause an error (now or in the future) . is it safe? and if I deleted the corresponding tables what will happen? the reason for this is because I want to deliver the site to my client, and teach him how to use the admin page, but I want to make as easy as possible for him..

  • How to properly set relationships in Core Data when using setValue and data already exists

    - by ern
Let's say I have two objects: Articles and Categories. For the sake of this example all relevant categories have already been added to the data store. When looping through data that holds edits for articles, there is category relationship information that needs to be saved. I was planning on using the -setValue method in the Article class in order to set the relationships like so: - (void)setValue:(id)value forUndefinedKey:(NSString *)key { if([key isEqualToString:@"categories"]){ NSLog(@"trying to set categories..."); } } The problem is that value isn't a Category, it is just a string (or array of strings) holding the title of a category. I could certainly do a lookup within this method for each category and assign it, but that seems inefficient when processing a whole bunch of articles at once. Another option is to populate an array of all possible categories and just filter, but my question is where to store that array? Should it be a class method on Article? Is there a way to pass in additional data to the -setValue method? Is there another, better option for setting the relationship I'm not thinking of? Thanks for your help.

  • How do I query/filter a to-many relationship in Core Data

    - by Kris Bixler
I have Customer, Event and Address objects in my data model. Both Customer and Address have a one-to-many relationship to Event. I can get the distinct list of addresses for a customer's events for by doing this: NSSet *addressSet = [customer valueForKeyPath:@"events.address"]; For the part of the UI I'm working on now, I need to display the address from the most recent event prior to now that has an address. I'm starting to go down the path of creating a NSFetchRequest, setting it's entity, sort descriptors, predicate and then looping through the results, but it seems like a lot of code. Am I missing some obvious way of filtering/sorting on the "events" relationship of the Customer object or is creating the NSFetchRequest the best solution?

  • Core Data - Relationship to dissimilar entities

    - by carotene
Suppose I have the following data model: Entity Person Attribute name String Attribute personType String Attribute dailyRecords Entity CarpenterDailyRecord Attribute numberOfNailsHammered Int Attribute picNameOfFinishedCabinet String Entity WindowWasherDailyRecord Attribute nameOfBuildingWashed String Attribute numberOfWindowsWashed Int I would like to establish a to-many relationship between the Person.dailyRecords and 1 of the daily record entities (which changes depending on the person type). Of course, i could create a CarpenterPerson and WindowWasher entity which each points to it's unique daily record structure, but i have to group people together in my app somehow. so if i do a Group Entity: Entity Group Attribute people array i'm still stuck. how do i point to multiple & different Person entities? There must be an obvious answer, it's just i'm so new to all of this. thanks!

  • Multi-property "transactions" in Core Data / NSManagedObject / NSFetchedResultsController?

    - by Martijn Thé
Hi, Is it possible to set multiple properties of an NSManagedObject and have the NSFetchedResultsController call controllerDidChangeContent: only once? In other words, is it possible to say something like: [managedObject beginChanges]; [managedObject setPropertyA:@"Foo"]; [managedObject setPropertyB:@"Bar"]; [managedObject commitChanges]; and then have the NSFetchedResultsController call controllerDidChangeContent: (and the other methods) only one time? Thanks!

  • Implement delegates for Core Data's fetched results controller or not

    - by Spanky

  • Core Animation bad access on device

    - by user1595102
    I'm trying to do a frame by frame animation with CAlayers. I'm doing this with this tutorial http://mysterycoconut.com/blog/2011/01/cag1/ but everything works with disable ARC, when I'm try to rewrite code with ARC, it's works on simulator perfectly but on device I got a bad access memory. Layer Class interface #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> #import <QuartzCore/QuartzCore.h> @interface MCSpriteLayer : CALayer { unsigned int sampleIndex; } // SampleIndex needs to be > 0 @property (readwrite, nonatomic) unsigned int sampleIndex; // For use with sample rects set by the delegate + (id)layerWithImage:(CGImageRef)img; - (id)initWithImage:(CGImageRef)img; // If all samples are the same size + (id)layerWithImage:(CGImageRef)img sampleSize:(CGSize)size; - (id)initWithImage:(CGImageRef)img sampleSize:(CGSize)size; // Use this method instead of sprite.sampleIndex to obtain the index currently displayed on screen - (unsigned int)currentSampleIndex; @end Layer Class implementation @implementation MCSpriteLayer @synthesize sampleIndex; - (id)initWithImage:(CGImageRef)img; { self = [super init]; if (self != nil) { self.contents = (__bridge id)img; sampleIndex = 1; } return self; } + (id)layerWithImage:(CGImageRef)img; { MCSpriteLayer *layer = [(MCSpriteLayer*)[self alloc] initWithImage:img]; return layer ; } - (id)initWithImage:(CGImageRef)img sampleSize:(CGSize)size; { self = [self initWithImage:img]; if (self != nil) { CGSize sampleSizeNormalized = CGSizeMake(size.width/CGImageGetWidth(img), size.height/CGImageGetHeight(img)); self.bounds = CGRectMake( 0, 0, size.width, size.height ); self.contentsRect = CGRectMake( 0, 0, sampleSizeNormalized.width, sampleSizeNormalized.height ); } return self; } + (id)layerWithImage:(CGImageRef)img sampleSize:(CGSize)size; { MCSpriteLayer *layer = [[self alloc] initWithImage:img sampleSize:size]; return layer; } + (BOOL)needsDisplayForKey:(NSString *)key; { return [key isEqualToString:@"sampleIndex"]; } // contentsRect or bounds changes are not animated + (id < CAAction >)defaultActionForKey:(NSString *)aKey; { if ([aKey isEqualToString:@"contentsRect"] || [aKey isEqualToString:@"bounds"]) return (id < CAAction >)[NSNull null]; return [super defaultActionForKey:aKey]; } - (unsigned int)currentSampleIndex; { return ((MCSpriteLayer*)[self presentationLayer]).sampleIndex; } // Implement displayLayer: on the delegate to override how sample rectangles are calculated; remember to use currentSampleIndex, ignore sampleIndex == 0, and set the layer's bounds - (void)display; { if ([self.delegate respondsToSelector:@selector(displayLayer:)]) { [self.delegate displayLayer:self]; return; } unsigned int currentSampleIndex = [self currentSampleIndex]; if (!currentSampleIndex) return; CGSize sampleSize = self.contentsRect.size; self.contentsRect = CGRectMake( ((currentSampleIndex - 1) % (int)(1/sampleSize.width)) * sampleSize.width, ((currentSampleIndex - 1) / (int)(1/sampleSize.width)) * sampleSize.height, sampleSize.width, sampleSize.height ); } @end I create the layer on viewDidAppear and start animate by clicking on button, but after init I got a bad access error -(void)viewDidAppear:(BOOL)animated { [super viewDidAppear:animated]; NSString *path = [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"mama_default.png" ofType:nil]; CGImageRef richterImg = [UIImage imageWithContentsOfFile:path].CGImage; CGSize fixedSize = animacja.frame.size; NSLog(@"wid: %f, heigh: %f", animacja.frame.size.width, animacja.frame.size.height); NSLog(@"%f", animacja.frame.size.width); richter = [MCSpriteLayer layerWithImage:richterImg sampleSize:fixedSize]; animacja.hidden = 1; richter.position = animacja.center; [self.view.layer addSublayer:richter]; } -(IBAction)animacja:(id)sender { if ([richter animationForKey:@"sampleIndex"]) {NSLog(@"jest"); } if (! [richter animationForKey:@"sampleIndex"]) { CABasicAnimation *anim = [CABasicAnimation animationWithKeyPath:@"sampleIndex"]; anim.fromValue = [NSNumber numberWithInt:0]; anim.toValue = [NSNumber numberWithInt:22]; anim.duration = 4; anim.repeatCount = 1; [richter addAnimation:anim forKey:@"sampleIndex"]; } } Have you got any idea how to fix it?
