    This forum comment and this superuser answer suggest that the audio compression contributes to loss of quality. I've noticed that music played over my BT setup sometimes pitch bends in ways I don't remember the original doing, and I'm wondering if SBC has something to do with it. I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 on a Mac Pro, connecting to a pair of Sony DR-BT50's. Is there a way to inspect which Bluetooth codec pulseaudio is using, what codecs both ends of the bluetooth link support?

    How do I run a script when a drive is mounted under OSX ? My usecase is that I would like to automatically copy images from my USB memory/harddrive when it is inserted in my USB card reader, and when a DVD or CD is inserted I would like to copy it for storage in my media center. I've tried using Marcopolo but from what I can see it can only detect the presence of a certain USB device, not the presence of specific harddrive.     I am looking for a tool that will let me take an mp4 and burn it as a DVD (you know, the kind I can watch in my DVD player). I tried DVD Flick but when the DVD was done the audio was off by at least a full second. After a while on superuser, opening up a new windows for each question that interests me, Expose looks like this: It is of minimal value seeing each preview is so small.     I am looking for free software to do batch conversions of divx video files to iPhone format. I have read the thread: http://superuser.com/questions/5784/looking-to-convert-video-to-iphone-format Handbrake works good for single files but it has very little customization with regards to files names and the batch functionality is not very good (or at least I can't get it to work very easily). Can anyone recommend a good batch converter? A script for Handbrake to do a batch for all in a specific directory would be useful even.

    I have a strange problem, everytime i plugin my external hard drive, its letter increase, "g,h,i,j,k,l,m, then n, and now o" I went to computer manager and did what is described in this question: http://superuser.com/questions/76165/windows-changing-an-external-hard-drives-drive-letter To change the drive letter, but i found that the letters from h to n are all missed and not in the list. How to solve this problem? I am using windows 7 ultimate edition 32. 2GB Ram.

    When I delete folders or files in through osx terminal using the rm -rf, where do they go? I heard that some say they are deleted directly, but some also say it only "remove the link to the file making it unable to be found or accessed without special tools" (http://superuser.com/questions/370786/where-do-files-and-directories-go-when-i-run-rm-rf-folder-or-file-name-in-ubu). Someone said something about ext3 being able to save rm-ed files in ubuntu but what about mac?

    I once used gnome-mount like this gnome-mount -o ro -d /dev/sda2 or gnome-mount -o ro -p "Macintosh HD" But, alas, gnome-mount seems to be no more. RIP. I can do this gvfs-mount -d /dev/sda2 (which generates a whole lot of errors but does mount the partition in the /media directory.)   • Disable scroll acceleration (windows/lenovo)

    Exactly the opposite of http://superuser.com/questions/101482/global-scroll-acceleration-in-windows, is there a way to disable scroll-accelartion on windows (touchpad -- maybe from lenovo drivers). It's heck of annoying -- using no accelartion but high sensitivity like on linux is so much more precise. ( With this silly acceleration, I either have incredibly slow scrolling, or scrolling so fast it skips whole chunks of text at once. Speed control but not acceleration control. Could say the same for mouse cursor, though that's less annoying. )
