  I am looking to be able to launch a network file on our local intranet using FF or Chrome Currently the link work good in IE <a href="\\Start\Of\My\Network\file.xlsx">View Report</a>&nbsp; but in FF it show <a href="http://mydomain.com/\\Start\Of\My\Network\file.xlsx">View Report</a>&nbsp; is there a way to get the link to render properly...Just a simple click from a href tag.

  So I am playing audio file in Chrome and I want to detect when playing has ended so I can delete references to it. Here is my code var source = context.createBufferSource(); source.buffer = sound.buffer; source.loop = sound.loop; source.onended = function() { delete playingSounds[soundName]; } source.connect(mainNode); source.start(0, sound.start, sound.length); however, the event handler doesn't fire. Is this not yet supported as described by the W3 specification? Or am I doing something wrong?

• Chrome Rewrite of Host: in HTML GET

  At some point in the past I had a plugin for firefox that rewrites the HTML headers being sent by your browser, specifically the "Host:" line in the HTML GET request. I can't find this plugin online. Does anyone know a plugin/way to do this? I am looking for one for Chrome but any would work. The specific reason for this is I am trying to work on a wordpress website which I just did a DNS change on. Until that DNS change goes into effect I can use the IP but since its a shared host the Host line isn't set right.

• Chromium/Chrome tabs crashes on Ubuntu/Edubuntu 12.04.3

  For some reason the tabs of Chromium and Chrome have started to crash (He's dead Jim) when running on Ubuntu or Edubuntu 12.04.3. It seems to happen only when I log in. I tried the browsers on Ubuntu 13.10 and everything worked fine. Any suggestions? Ps. The browser doesn't crash, just the tabs, and I can open new ones (but they also crash after a while). • Chrome and Catalyst - no tab text

  I just installed Ubuntu, updated, installed AMD proprietary drivers (for my Radeon HD6870) and noticed that some (most) of the tabs in Google Chrome don't have text, only the favicon. My first idea was that maybe 13.10 may have some issues with the new drivers so I switched to the normal driver instead of the beta one. It was not good. Okay then, I put back the open source drivers. It worked. Okay, it's strange. Let's install Ubuntu Gnome to see if it's Unity. No it was not. Let's install Ubuntu 13.04. Same behavoir. By this time I was desperate. I installed Fedora, the problem was there. Now I'm back to Ubuntu 13.10, but am out of ideas. Could anyone help me, please? P.s.: I can upload a screenshot, if needed.

• chrome download interrupted leaving ".crdownload" temporary file

  I am using Google Chrome 15.0.874.121 in Ubuntu 10.10. It was fine until recently. Whenever download a file, it always reports "Interrupted", but it actually finishes the downloading, leaving an intermediate file with extension ".crdownload". If removed the extension, the file will be perfect. Note that downloading in Firefox works fine at the same time. So I wonder if it is a bug or how I can fix it? Thanks and regards!

  After I installed the GNOME shell in Ubuntu, I decided that I didn't like having the "Close/Minimize/Maximize" buttons on the right, so I switched them over to the left using gconftool-2 --set "/apps/metacity/general/button_layout" --type string "close, minimize, maximize:" After resetting the shell, however, I found that with the GTK+ theme, only the close button shows up. Using system title bar and borders will make all the buttons appear, but I really want to use the theme because the system title bar makes the top bar too thick. Logging out and back in didn't fix it, and I tried reinstalling Chrome, but the problem persists.

  Hy Everyone! I have some graphics glich when enable gpu acc. in chrome. If i disable acceleraion it fix the glich but, in full HD most of flash videos frame rate drop above frogs a**, so very slow... :) Any idea, what can i do? I Upload 2 pics from glich. My hardware: CM Hyper TX 3 on AMD A5300 with HD 7480D 6 GB RAM I use official AMD driver from amd.com, Ubuntu 14.04(I upgraded from 12.04, in Ubuntu 12, same glitch with old drivers.) I reinstalld x.org completly and purge all config files, but this didnt resolve the problem.   It seems that my menu bar is displayed with a different font stretch in Firefox than it is in Chrome. See the following: Here is the CSS applied to this element: font-variant: small-caps; font-size:13px; letter-spacing: 0px; font-family: Arial; font-stretch: normal; text-decoration: none; As far as I can tell everything regarding that font is exactly the same, yet they still display differently (see pic).   I am a bit unsure where to post this, but i guess it should be here, as it has to do with rendering in a browser. We have a sencha touch 1.1 application running in Google Chrome. On mij own computer (ubuntu) there are no problems. On the touch screen attached to a computer running debian-OS, transparency is shown as semi-transparent. It happens on sliders. Sliders have a button on them. This button is rendered bij sencha with CSS. It is NOT an image. Anyone has any idea how to get it 'nice' on debian too

  All windows work fine but maximized G. Chrome window starts moving whenever I click under title bar without moving the cursor, but I don't want to move the windows, just to focus. Under the title bar is next to the tabs, on the blue part. This is annoying. It goes from maximized to moving windows function, with the cross instead of the pointer, only with single steady click.   I've read some articles here that suggest that we are able to retrieve Chrome's history as SQLite databases: Export history from chome browser How can I view "archived" Google Chrome history — i.e. history older than three months? I can't seem to find the folder where these are supposed to be located. In the first article, the provided path was ~/Library/Application\ Support/Google/Chrome/Default/History, but there is no such directory in my filesystem. I am using Chrome 26.0.1410.65 on Mac OS X Lion. And I am signed in with my Google account. • Can I fix memory leaks in browsers? (Win7 64bit IE9 Chrome)

  I have a habit of opening websites in their own window, then getting interested in something else in another window while leaving the first window open with the intention of returning to finishing reading. Sometimes I'll leave browser windows open for quite a while. When I do, the browser locks-up gigs of memory until it uses so much, IE will no longer respond. I've seen one browser window use up over 2 gigs just sitting there doing nothing. Chrome appears to do it too, but it doesn't use nearly as much as IE. Is there a way to stop this? Any ideas what may be causing it? Is it a problem with the OS or the browsers? Any insight is appreciated.

• Cannot move Google Chrome tabs to different monitor in ubuntu

  When I use Chrome in Windows, I can grab a tab and drag it over to my second monitor and it will automatically maximize. In ubuntu, when I try to do the same, the tab will snap back to my primary monitor and maximize there. There is a related bug report for Chromium that is labeled "fixed" here, but when I try using Chromium instead of Chrome, I get the same behavior (not what I called fixed). So far the only other thing I've tried is changing themes, resetting Chrome's settings to default and tested Chromium as I pointed out above. I've also tried installing Chrome from a live Linux disc, and the behavior is still the same. The issue does not occur with Firefox, but I need to use Chrome for work-related reasons, so simply switching isn't really an option personally (though it is a viable workaround). I'm using Chrome 30 and ubuntu 13.04. Does anyone have any solutions?

  I am using some offline apps for google chrome and because of this an application indicator pops un in the gnome panel. My problem is that this indicator uses the google chrome default system tray icon and I think it looks ugly with my current theme so I would basically like to change the icon. I can't find the icons that google chrome is using for this purpose but I have no problem finding the other icons used by google chrome and changing them, like the 24x24 or 22x22 icons that you see in the gnome application menu (which by default looks like the application indicator for google chrome). It doens't seem like Google Chrome is taking the icon from e.g /usr/share/icons/ and I can't change the icon by changing the icon theme in like gconf-editor Is there anyway to see the preferences (like you can do with launchers) of the application indicators in the gnome-panel and then locate the indicator icon or change it in another way?

  Google Chrome randomly stopped working one day and is giving me this error: Google Chrome is having trouble accessing the network. This may be because your firewall or antivirus software wrongly thinks that Google Chrome is an intruder on your computer and is blocking it from connecting to the Internet. Here are some suggestions: Add Google Chrome as a permitted programme in your firewall or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted programme, try deleting it from the list of permitted programmes and adding it again. Error 138 (net::ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED): Unable to access the network. I didn't make any changes to my firewall settings between the time it was working and when it wasn't working. I'm using the default Windows Firewall. I added Chrome to the allowed programs and restarted, but that didn't fix the error. I even reinstalled Chrome completely and that didn't work either. Any help would be appreciated. EDIT: I forgot to mention that Firefox and IE9 work fine.

• Chrome logs me out of everything when I exit--tried cookie-related stuff already

  I've been using Chrome very successfully for a long time. It has always kept me logged in to all my sites even after exiting the app. Recently it started logging me out of everything when I exit Chrome. I've fooled around with all the various advanced cookie settings, and I've cycled through the options hoping that Chrome just needed a wakeup call or a reset or something. I've also deleted all the cookies in case a corrupted one is confusing Chrome. Nothing works! I see cookies when I log in, but they all go away when I exit Chrome. I've searched all over the place and seen only the standard answers relating to resetting cookies, local data, sessions, that sort of thing. Any Chrome gurus out there, please send a telepathic message to my browser asking it to resume its previous excellent behavior. Alternatively, you could suggest other possible solutions.
