  • Add querystring parameters to link_to

    I'm having difficultly adding querystring parameters to link_to UrlHelper. I have an Index view, for example, that has UI elements for sorting, filtering, and pagination (via will_paginate). The will_paginate plugin manages the intra-page persistence of querystring parameters correctly. Is there an automatic mechanism to add the querystring parameters to a give named route, or do I need to do so manually? A great deal of research on this seemingly simple construct has left me clueless.

    According to http://www.delphigroups.info/2/3/181838.html The preferred approach with ADO components is to use TADODataSet and TADOCommand. TADOQuery (and TADOTable and TADOStoredProc) are provided for compatibility. Use TADODataSet for SQL that returns result-sets and TADOCommand for SQL that does not. I am a clueless n00b - who is about to code a lot of ADO stuph. Is that correct? Which components should I use fop something which does/does not return a result?

  • flex coverflow adding links to the images

    Hi, I'm using sebastiaan holtrop's cover flow component in Flex. I would like to be able to add the sources to the images using xml. I would also like each image to have its own URL assosiated with it, so when I click it (if it's in the front of the coverflow), I go to that URL. I'm a bit clueless as to how to get that done (this is the first time I use Flex and the project docs think I'm a higher level Flex programmer...). Thanks, Niv

I found the "Language Reference" section on the PHP manual, but it doesn't look as detailed as the JLS.   • VS2010 Database Compare. How do you create a *.DBSchema extensioned file?

    I'd like to take a snapshot of my database, make some changes and then use the db compare functionality to identify the changes, and who knows, maybe even generate scripts to make the change. I'd like to avoid having to backup the current db and restore it as a separate db just to have a "before" snapshot. I'm guessing I shouldn't have to.     I'm trying to convert a dictionery into a json object, so that I can work with it in my front end. sortFields = <%= SchrodersHtmlHelper.ToJson(ViewData["SortInfo"])%>; However, I keep on getting "Expected expression" for this all the time and I'm clueless why. Could anyone explain to me what I'm doing wrong? Edit: The conversion works fine, but I still get this issue in the front end, causing the browser to complain about it.

    Using Visual Source Safe with IIS integration (the working dir is the IIS site) Visual Studio, pointed to the IIS site would load up the Web project. It would be under VSS control (have to check out files, etc). Recently, we had to switch to Integrated Security for our database connections from the web app. This means changing the impersonation of the IIS app pool (and anon authentication) to the impersonated account. Since I did this -- my project loads in Visual Studio, but it acts as if I'm not me, and the files aren't under source control anymore. I'm going to assume it's something with the pass-through from IIS to the VSS (as if you'll remember you had to add IIS_USERS to the VSS list of users). Even trying to add the impersonated account didn't work. Any ideas?

  • svnserve.conf authentication not worked

    I can setup Subversion server. I can commit change. The only thing I am not sure is to set up the basic authentication with svnserve. Here is the tutorial I followed: http://tortoisesvn.net/docs/release/TortoiseSVN_en/tsvn-serversetup-svnserve.html#tsvn-serversetup-svnserve-4 Based on the tutorial, I edited the 2 files: svnserve.conf and passwd, and restarted the apache server. But the authentication still cannot work. Even if I set: anon-access = none and restart apache, I can still read svn files and commit change from Eclipse. Have I missed any steps?
