    I want to set the color of the TextView by the function getcolorss. I tried a lot of different ways but i cant get in it. Please help me i think the solution is easy. import java.awt.*; import android.graphics.Color; public class test extends Activity { TextView text1 = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.text1); text1.setTextColor(getcolorss(1)); public Color getcolorss(int x) { switch(x) { case 1: return Color.BLUE; case 2: return Color.RED; } } }

  • File/printer sharing issues on network with multiple OSes

    - by DanZ
    My workplace consists of computers running a variety of different operating systems, and I have been running into problems getting some of them to connect to a shared drive and printer over the network. Here is a brief description of the computers involved and the issues I have encountered: 1: Dell desktop, Windows Vista Business-- This is the computer I want the others to connect to. It has a USB printer and eSATA hard drive enclosure that I have set up for sharing, with different accounts for the various users. 2: Fujitsu laptop, Windows XP Tablet edition-- No problems. Can connect to both the shared printer and hard drive. 3: Lenovo laptop, Windows Vista Business 64 bit-- No problems. Can connect to both the shared printer and drive. 4: Apple MacBook, OS 10.4-- Can connect to the shared drive, but not to the shared printer. I am aware that the printer issue is due to a known incompatibility between Vista and OS 10.4 and earlier with regards to Samba. It is not a big problem, however, as this computer can access a network printer. 5: Sony laptop, Windows Vista Home Premium-- Can connect to the shared printer, but not the shared drive. It can see computer 1 and its shared drive on the network, and appears to successfully log in to user accounts. However, if you try to access the shared drive, it says you do not have permission. I have tried both standard and administrator accounts, and none can access the drive from this computer. 6: MacBook Pro, OS 10.5 (there are two of these)-- Can connect to the shared printer, but not the shared drive. They can't see computer 1 on the network. For that matter, they also can't see each other or the older Mac, but can see and access shared folders on the XP machine (computer 2) and can see other PCs in the building. I was able to add the shared printer manually by typing in its network location, but was unable to manually add the shared drive in the same way. So, what I am looking for is suggestions on how to get computers 5 and 6 to connect to the shared drive. Since they can already connect to the shared printer (which is on the same computer as the shared drive), it seems reasonable that they should be able to access the drive as well.

  • OpenGL-ES: Change (multiply) color when using color arrays?

    - by arberg
    Following the ideas in OpenGL ES iPhone - drawing anti aliased lines, I am trying to draw stroked anti-aliased lines and I am successful so far. After line is draw by the finger, I wish to fade the path, that is I need to change the opacity (color) of the entire path. I have computed a large array of vertex positions, vertex colors, texture coordinates, and indices and then I give these to opengl but I would like reduce the opacity of all the drawn triangles without having to change each of the color coordinates. Normally I would use glColor4f(r,g,b,a) before calling drawElements, but it has no effect due to the color array. I am working on Android, but I believe it shouldn't make the big difference, as long as it is OpenGL-ES 1.1 (or 1.0). I have the following code : gl.glEnable(GL10.GL_BLEND); gl.glBlendFunc(GL10.GL_ONE, GL10.GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA); gl.glEnableClientState(GL10.GL_COLOR_ARRAY); gl.glShadeModel(GL10.GL_SMOOTH); gl.glEnableClientState(GL10.GL_VERTEX_ARRAY); gl.glEnableClientState(GL10.GL_TEXTURE_COORD_ARRAY); gl.glEnable(GL10.GL_TEXTURE_2D); // Should set rgb to greyish, and alpha to half-transparent, the greyish is // just there to make the question more general its the alpha i'm interested in gl.glColor4f(.75f, .75f, .75f, 0.5f); gl.glVertexPointer(mVertexSize, GL10.GL_FLOAT, 0, mVertexBuffer); gl.glColorPointer(4, GL10.GL_FLOAT, 0, mColorBuffer); gl.glTexCoordPointer(2, GL10.GL_FLOAT, 0, mTexCoordBuffer); gl.glDrawElements(GL10.GL_TRIANGLES, indexCount, GL10.GL_UNSIGNED_SHORT, mIndexBuffer.position(startIndex)); If I disable the color array gl.glEnableClientState(GL10.GL_COLOR_ARRAY);, then the glColor4f works, if I enable the color array it does nothing. Is there any way in OpenGl-ES to change the coloring without changing all the color coordinates? I think that in OpenGl one might use a fragment shader, but it seems OpenGL does not have a fragment shader (not that I know how to use one).

  • Drawing Color Spectrum with Waveform

    - by TheDarkIn1978
    i've come across this ActionScript sample, which demonstrates drawing of the color spectrum, one line at a time via a loop, using waveforms. however, the waveform location of each RGB channel create a color spectrum that is missing colors (pure yellow, cyan and magenta) and therefore the spectrum is incomplete. how can i remedy this problem so that the drawn color spectrum will exhibit all colors? // Loop through all of the pixels from '0' to the specified width. for(var i:int = 0; i < nWidth; i++) { // Calculate the color percentage based on the current pixel. nColorPercent = i / nWidth; // Calculate the radians of the angle to use for rotating color values. nRadians = (-360 * nColorPercent) * (Math.PI / 180); // Calculate the RGB channels based on the angle. nR = Math.cos(nRadians) * 127 + 128 << 16; nG = Math.cos(nRadians + 2 * Math.PI / 3) * 127 + 128 << 8; nB = Math.cos(nRadians + 4 * Math.PI / 3) * 127 + 128; // OR the individual color channels together. nColor = nR | nG | nB; }

  • Color picker does not give gradient appearance

    - by ykaratoprak
    i added below codes. But it generates to me 16 color. but i need 16 color between "red" and "khaki". i don't need gradient flow. My colors look like gradient flow. My colors must not closer to each other. Because i will use this codes return values in chart columns. they are too near each other. static class Program { [STAThread] static void Main() { Form form = new Form(); Color start = Color.Red, end = Color.Khaki; for (int i = 0; i < 16; i++) { int r = Interpolate(start.R, end.R, 15, i), g = Interpolate(start.G, end.G, 15, i), b = Interpolate(start.B, end.B, 15, i); Button button = new Button(); button.Dock = DockStyle.Top; button.BackColor = Color.FromArgb(r, g, b); form.Controls.Add(button); button.BringToFront(); } Application.Run(form); } static int Interpolate(int start, int end, int steps, int count) { float s = start, e = end, final = s + (((e - s) / steps) * count); return (int)final; } }

  • How to convert a printer driver to a stand-alone console application which can generate a printer fi

    - by Thorbjørn Ravn Andersen
    I have a situation where the only way to generate a certain datafile is to print it manually to FILE: under Windows and save it in a file for further processing. I would really like to have a small stand-alone program which embeds this binary printer driver so I can run it from a batch file and have it generate that binary file for me, as we can then fully automate the "save file in Visio, 'print' it and upload it to the final destination and trigger a remote test". Is this possible with a suitable Windows SDK? I am a Java programmer, so I do not know Visual Studio and the possibilities with MSDN - yet! - but I'd appreciate pointers. EDIT: I have the installation files for that printer driver, both 32 and 64 bit. Older versions may include a 16 bit driver. EDIT: The "print to FILE:" functionality is just what was recommended by the documentation. I have played a little bit with using the LPR-protocol to see what it can do. I'd still prefer the "invoke small binary" approach.

  • How do you blend multiple colors in HSV (polar) color-space?

    - by Toxikman
    In RGB color space, you can do a weighted multiple-color blend by just doing: Start with R = G = B = 0. Then we perform a blend at index i using a set of colors C, and a set of normalized weights w like so: R += w[i] * C[i].r G += w[i] * C[i].g B += w[i] * C[i].b But I'd like to interpolate the colors in the HSV color-space instead, so that saturation and brightness are uniform across the interpolation. I know I can blend saturation and brightness in the same way as above, but the HUE component is an angle around a continuous circle, since HSV is essentially a polar coordinate system. Blending only two HSV colors makes sense to me, you just find the shortest arc around the circle and interpolate between the two hues. But when you attempt to blend more than 2 colors, it becomes a bit of a puzzle. You have to handle anomalous cases, like 4 equally-weighted colors with a hue at 0, 90, 180, and 270 degrees. They basically cancel each other out, so any hue will do. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

But it shows up as some other color. I opened it up in firebug, and it shows the computed color to be #FFFFF:

  • Trying to install Canon iP7250 printer

    - by Chris Burmajster
    I'm trying to install my Canon iP7250 printer on a fresh install of 13:10 64bit. Last time I installed it successfully via http://handytutorial.com/install-canon-printer-driver-for-ubuntu-13-04-12-10-12-04 which entailed adding a repository via the terminal and then updating it. I then opened Synaptic and searched for my printer model and Synaptic then installed everything. This time round I added the repositories but the update failed with the following error: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/michael-gru...amd64/Packages 404 Not Found Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/michael-gru...-i386/Packages 404 Not Found Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead. An internet search failed to find another way of installing this printer so I'm stuck. My laptop also runs 64 bit 13:10 and the printer works, as I installed it months ago. Is there any way I can take something off that to use on this new machine? Thank you all in advance P.S. I have just found and downloaded the official Canon driver from the Canon website and extracted it, but I don't know how to install it.

  • CUPS - Configuring default printer options

    - by user193661
    I'm using a CUPS printer and trying to set the default options for the printer using /etc/cups/ppd and /etc/cups/printers.conf but I don't see a complete list of available options. Currently I'm trying Option page-top 2 Option page-bottom 2 Option scaling 95 My end goal is getting the printer to stop cutting off the top and bottom page content. I would like to automatically scale the content to fit on the page size being used (default "letter") if possible and if not, resume printing on another page without removing any of the content.

  • Trouble with printer canon lbp2900-Ubuntu 14.04

    - by user288922
    I use Ubuntu 14.04. I installed the printer Canon LBP2900 following the guide and did all steps and now the printer works. I added CCPD in Startup Application (with command: sudo /etc/init.d/ccpd start). But after I log out or restart my pc, the printer can't print until I have to open terminal and run sudo /etc/init.d/ccpd restart && sudo /etc/init.d/cups restart. Once more, after restarting my pc I’ve just only printed 1 job (of course it can't print), and I run sudo /etc/init.d/ccpd restart && sudo /etc/init.d/cups restart, the printer will work but it prints the same job three times.

  • CMYK + CMYK = ? CMYK / 2 = ?

    - by Pete
    Suppose there are two colors defined in CMYK: color1 = 30, 40, 50, 60 color2 = 50, 60, 70, 80 If they were to be printed what values would the resulting color have? color_new = min(cyan1 + cyan2, 100), min(magenta1 + magenta2, 100), min(yellow1 + yellow2, 100), min(black1 + black2, 100)? Suppose there is a color defined in CMYK: color = 40, 30, 30, 100 It is possible to print a color at partial intensity, i.e. as a tint. What values would have a 50% tint of that color? color_new = cyan / 2, magenta / 2, yellow / 2, black / 2? I'm asking this to better understand the "tintTransform" function in PDF Reference 1.7, 4.5.5 Special Color Spaces, DeviceN Color Spaces Update: To better clarify: I'm not entirely concerned with human perception or how the CMYK dyies react to the paper. If someone specifies 90% tint which, when printed, looks like full intensity colorant, that's ok. In other words, if I asking how to compute 50% of cmyk(40, 30, 30, 100) I'm asking how to compute the new values, regardless of whether the result looks half-dark or not. Update 2: I'm confused now. I checked this in InDesign and Acrobat. For example Pantone 3005 has CMYK 100, 34, 0, 2, and its 25% tint has CMYK 25, 8.5, 0, 0.5. Does it mean I can "monkey around in a linear way"?

  • CUPS basic auth error through web interface

    - by Inaimathi
    I'm trying to configure CUPS to allow remote administration through the web interface. There's enough documentation out there that I can figure out what to change in my cupsd.conf (changing Listen localhost:631 to Port 631, and adding Allow @LOCAL to the /, /admin and /admin/conf sections). I'm now at the point where I can see the CUPS interface from another machine on the same network. The trouble is, when I try to Add Printer, I'm asked for a username and password, but my response is rejected even when I know I've gotten it right (I assume it's asking for the username and password of someone in the lpadmin group on the server machine; I've sshed in with credentials its rejecting, and the user I'm using has been added to the lpadmin group). If I disable auth outright, by changing DefaultAuthType Basic to DefaultAuthType None, I get an "Unauthorized" error instead of a password request when I try to Add Printer. What am I doing wrong? Is there a way of letting users from the local network to administer the print server through the CUPS web interface? EDIT: By request, my complete cupsd.conf (spoiler: minimally edited default config file that comes with the edition of CUPS from the Debian wheezy repos): LogLevel warn MaxLogSize 0 SystemGroup lpadmin Port 631 # Listen localhost:631 Listen /var/run/cups/cups.sock Browsing On BrowseOrder allow,deny BrowseAllow all BrowseLocalProtocols CUPS dnssd # DefaultAuthType Basic DefaultAuthType None WebInterface Yes <Location /> Order allow,deny Allow @LOCAL </Location> <Location /admin> Order allow,deny Allow @LOCAL </Location> <Location /admin/conf> AuthType Default Require user @SYSTEM Order allow,deny Allow @LOCAL </Location> # Set the default printer/job policies... <Policy default> # Job/subscription privacy... • How does one extract the Canon ip4600 drivers in inf form?

    - by Trix
    I have a x64 machine which needs "additional drivers" for x86 clients. The problem I have is I cannot get the proper .inf files so I can use them. Canon only provides an .exe file, which when extracted has other .exe files and some dll files. I believe Canon changed their drivers, because I did have them extracted at one point, but sadly did not save them :(. The drivers are available here. Hopefully I am clear in what I am trying to do. Canon provides the .exe file. The .exe file when extracted does not produce any .inf driver files. Thanks!

  • Run command before and after printing with CUPS?

    - by leto
    Hello, this is a home setup. A central printer server (Linux) manages the queue, a HP 2430DTN is attached to it via 100Mbit/sec Ethernet. The printer is hooked up to a managable power source. A shell script watches the queue on the server (lpstat -o) and turn on the printer when there is a job. If the queue is empty for 10 minutes it turns the printer off. Now this setup messes up, stops the printer etc. after a couple of weeks and is in general "not so reliable". I now know how to change the stop-printer thing, but: Is there a way to run my turn printer on script and turn printer off script directly from cups without watching the queue? That would be so cool!

  • How to obtain printed page count if no web-gui or driver-gui is available to show it

    - by Macgreggor at your service
    I am curious if windows print servers can keep a count of the printed pages sent to it? Can an individual PC (WinXP+)? Is there some secret command you can send it (with telnet, dos, etc)? I searched & couldn't find any questions similar to this here so lets keep this open-ended for future people who are curious. Is this more suited towards server fault? Maybe, but this is more about printers & local PC's have print servers now-a-days. Anyhow in my situation I have the following printers (yes old) I am curious on page-counts: HP Laserjet 1300 (using some kind of PC-card to LPT/Parallel adapter, then a network adapter on top of that [Netgear PS101 print server]) Canon Faxphone L80 Epson LX-300+
