  • Developer Preview available for the Java Access Bridge is now included in Java SE 7 Update 6

    The Java Access Bridge product is now being included with Java SE 7u6. Manual installation of the Java Access Bridge will no longer be required. All Access Bridge files will be automatically installed by the JRE and the JDK.             The Developer Preview for this feature is now available and can be downloaded from http://jdk7.java.net/download.html.            By default, the Java Access Bridge is disabled. In order to use the Java Access Bridge, enable it using the steps mentioned below and test your applications for accessibility.             Enable the Java Access Bridge: Use one of these mechanism:             1. Ease Of Access control panel.     On Windows Vista and later the Java Access Bridge can be enabled     from Ease of Access Center.     Select "Use the computer without a display". In "Other programs     installed" section , select the check box to     "Enable Java Access Bridge" and apply. 2. Or run the following command in the Command Window.     %JRE_HOME%\bin\jabswitch -enable Note: You must restart your Assistive Technology software and Java application after enabling the bridge.             Test the Java Access Bridge: 1. I have a field that will have a currency value that will be either euro's or sterling dependent on whether or not the applicable record is in the currency zone.     Hi! I have Access DB with One StudentTable. I have created multiple queries from that table then Exported to SharePoint Different Sites. Student table is exported to Site Collection. I added multiple records to Student Table that is uploded in site collection. Now My problem is - those new records don't get reflected to other list (created queries and exported to SP sites) that are in different sites Is there any way to work around above problem.     hey everyone i have an access 2007 database where i have 2 tables one is exp_cash and exp_cheque each are link to exp_cat, where exp_cat contains categories list where exp_cash contains id,cat_id,exp_date,exp_amount,exp_note same thing in exp_cheque where when i came to combine them nothing in result unless i remove the cat_name from my query i used a simple query which is SELECT DISTINCT exp_cat.cat_name, exp_cash.exp_amount, exp_cheque.exp_amount FROM (exp_cat INNER JOIN exp_cash ON exp_cat.ID = exp_cash.exp_cat_id) INNER JOIN exp_cheque ON exp_cat.ID = exp_cheque.exp_cat_id;

    I installed Ubuntu 12.10 on an old Compaq C300. I want to use it to share my movies over lan so that the rest of my family can watch without hi-jacking my pc. I installed samba and shared the Public folder under the Home folder of my user account. But I can only access this folder from my Win 7 pc when I am logged in. If I log out or restart without logging in then I cannot access the shared folder. I am used to the Windows service that starts at boot making shared files available over the network before the user has logged in. How can I accomplish this in Ubuntu?

    I'm doing a .NET unit as part of my studies. I've only just started, with a lecturer that as kinda failed to give me the most solid foundation with .NET, so excuse the noobishness. I'm making a pretty simple and generic database-driven application. I'm using C# and I'm accessing a Microsoft Access 2007 database. I've put the database-ish stuff in its own class with the methods just spitting out OleDbDataAdapters that I use for committing. I feed any methods which preform a query a DataSet object from the main program, which is where I'm keeping the data (multiple tables in the db). I've made a very generic private method that I use to perform SQL SELECT queries and have some public methods wrapping that method to get products, orders.etc (it's a generic retail database). The generic method uses a separate Connect method to actually make the connection, and it is as follows: private static OleDbConnection Connect() { OleDbConnection conn = new OleDbConnection( @"Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0; Data Source=C:\Temp\db.accdb"); return conn; } The generic method is as follows: private static OleDbDataAdapter GenericSelectQuery( DataSet ds, string namedTable, String selectString) { OleDbCommand oleCommand = new OleDbCommand(); OleDbConnection conn = Connect(); oleCommand.CommandText = selectString; oleCommand.Connection = conn; oleCommand.CommandType = CommandType.Text; OleDbDataAdapter adapter = new OleDbDataAdapter(); adapter.SelectCommand = oleCommand; adapter.MissingSchemaAction = MissingSchemaAction.AddWithKey; adapter.Fill(ds, namedTable); return adapter; } The wrapper methods just pass along the DataSet that they received from the main program, the namedtable string is the name of the table in the dataset, and you pass in the query you wish to make. It doesn't matter which query I give it (even something simple like SELECT * FROM TableName) I still get thrown an OleDbException, stating that there was en error with the FROM clause of the query. I've just resorted to building the queries with Access, but there's still no use. Obviously there's something wrong with my code, which wouldn't actually surprise me. Here are some wrapper methods I'm using. public static OleDbDataAdapter GetOrderLines(DataSet ds) { OleDbDataAdapter adapter = GenericSelectQuery( ds, "orderlines", "SELECT OrderLine.* FROM OrderLine;"); return adapter; } They all look the same, it's just the SQL that changes.

I need to migrate existing products from MS Access to MYSQL. I thought of putting both on server and writing SQL queries in MYSQL workbench, untill I have a good script for that, but I'm very new to SQL, so I'd rather avoid that. I there a better way and more efficient for that?
