  • Alias multiple DNS entries to one Amazon S3 Bucket

    I have a bucket on Amazon S3. Lets call it "webstatic.mydomain.com". I have a DNS alias setup for that bucket webstatic.mydomain.com CNAME - web-static.mydomain.com.s3.amazonaws.com. This all works great, however for some rather complicated reasons I now need: webstatic.myOtherDomain.com to point to that same amazon bucket so: webstatic.myOtherDomain.com CNAME - web-static.mydomain.com.s3.amazonaws.com. Fails, as the bucket is not called the same as the referring DNS. Can anyone tell me how to have two different DNS entries pointing to the same amazon bucket?

  • Sendmail Alias for Nonlocal Email Account

    I admin a server which is running a number of web applications for a software dev team (source control, bug tracking, etc). The server has sendmail running solely as a transport to the departmental email server over which I have no control. We have someone who is still in the department but no longer on the dev team so I need to configure the transport agent to redirect all outgoing email (which would be coming from these applications) to the person that has taken their place. I added an entry in /etc/aliases like such: [email protected]: [email protected] But when I run /etc/init.d/sendmail newaliases I get the following error: /etc/mail/aliases: line 32: [email protected]... cannot alias non-local names So clearly I'm doing something I shouldn't. Is there a way to get aliases to work with non-local names or alternatively is their a way to accomplish my goal of redirecting outgoing mail for this user to another one? Technical Specs if the matter: Ubuntu 6.06 sendmail 8.13 (ubuntu provided package)

  • Sendmail.mc: alias all incoming e-mails to one account

    I need to alias all mail coming from another SMTP server to this one account "myinbox". The system in question is to receive all e-mail on the domain, if that's any help. http://william.shallum.net/random-notes/sendmailredirectallmailfordevelopment is a template for the beginning of a solution, but that routes everything (including outgoing and internal mail) to that one account, and trying to understand how these R rules work is making my head spin. I think the answer is in sendmail.mc rather than any Procmail configuration. So I think what I generally don't want the filter to do is: Interfere w/any outgoing e-mail Interfere w/any internal e-mail Sometimes some cron job causes "root" to mail to "root". I don't want these to go to myinbox. Cause infinite loops Who does? Bounce messages and any DSNs come to mind. I'm running Sendmail 8.13.1 and Procmail 3.22.

    How do I setup an IP alias on a bridge (br0) device on Ubuntu ? If I wait for br0 to come up and then do /sbin/ifconfig br0:0 192.168.10.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 then it works fine. If however I add the following to my /etc/network/interfaces file, it does not work and the network fails to start: auto br0:0 iface br0:0 inet static address 192.168.10.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 At the moment, I have a script in /etc/network/if-up.d/bridge_alias that does this as follows: #!/bin/bash if [ "${LOGICAL}" == "br0" ] && [ "${PHASE}" = "post-up" ]; then echo -n "Starting br0:0 ... " /sbin/ifconfig br0:0 192.168.10.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 echo "Done!" fi What is the right way of doing this though, just using the OS network config files ?

However I want the Chiliproject to be like http://abc.com/Chiliproject as I want the abc.com to be used for other application. Following is my Chiliproject vhost setting: ServerName abc.com DocumentRoot /var/www/chiliproject/public Alias /chiliproject /var/www/chiliproject/public Options -MultiViews AllowOverride all When I go to abc.com, the Chiliproject page will appear but when I go to abc.com/chiliproject, I will reach the 404 page not found instead. If I change the DocumentRoot to /var/www, the page abc.com will be what I want, but the abc.com/chiliproject will comes to the 'Directory view' of my page.

  • Can't enable apache mod on emerge

    I want to add mod_proxy and mod_proxy_http to Apache server on my Gentoo, but apparently some file with high priority on the system is disabling the mods and preventing me to install. I am currently editing /usr/portage/profiles/base/make.defaults file, but it gets updated (and changes lost) every time I update the system. I have to edit it every time I update the system/reinstall Apache. Besides that, I have already added dependencies to the /etc/portage/package.use file: www-servers/apache proxy proxy_http What other files do I have do change or should check flags so I can enable proxy and do not have to edit files again every time?

    All is perfect, 96 fps average. Until an item tries to enter a buildcraft pipe. Tekkit instantly crashes, no error dialog. I have no idea what logs to look at for information on the crash, or how to fix it.   • How can I override mod-php5's .php mapping to php4-cgi per VirtualHost or Directory?

    I am running Debian Linux with apache2 and libapache2-mod-php5 5.3.3-7. I have one VirtualHost which requires php4. So I researched and compiled php4-cgi. However, I cannot seem to: Override mod-php5's mapping of .php in that vhost (or even globally, without disabling php completley). Even find where that mapping is made, in hope of disabling it and enabling mod-php5 or php4-cgi per vhost. This is my php4-cgi mapping (Inside the one php4 vhost): ScriptAlias /php4 /usr/local/php4/bin <Directory /usr/local/php4/bin> Options +ExecCGI +FollowSymLinks </Directory> <Directory /www/test> AddHandler php4-cgi-script .php Action php4-cgi-script /php4/php Options +ExecCGI </Directory> This does not work, mod-php5 still runs all .php files in that vhost/directory. If I change the file extension in the AddHandler above from .php to .php4, then .php4 files do run php4-cgi as expected, but I can't change all the files in the app to .php4. I thought maybe I could disable the mod-php5's mapping in my vhost or directory, then do my cgi-config (as above) but many combinations of these in different contexts did not work: RemoveHandler .php RemoveType .php php_flag engine off (this seems to even disable my php4-cgi so that wont work) The only other place I can find any mapping is in /etc/mime.types, but commenting out the relevant lines and restarting apache2 does not affect mod-php5's .php mapping. I have searched as much as I can, it is now a mystery to me. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

    I've got a driver setup for 32 bit: An INF file and an x86 folder with two 32 bit dlls. I need to replace these 32 bit dll files with 64 bit ones. I just simply overwrite 32 bit files but no lock. How can I make 64 bit version of the driver?     I'd like to be able to set up a host, say "eg", to be an alias to some server on the internet, say "example.example.com". I just need this functionality to be available from my local machine. I'm running dnsmasq on that machine, which is running ubuntu 9.10. Is there a way to configure dnsmasq or the resolver subsystem (including avahi) to resolve that alias hostname via the actual hostname, so that eg will resolve to the ip address of example.example.com?

    I have a web application that needs to support custom domains, in that regard I have set-up the following name based virtual server: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName example.com ServerAlias * *.example.com www.example.com example.com RailsEnv production RackEnv production DocumentRoot /srv/www/example/current/public <Directory /srv/www/example/current/public> AllowOverride all Options -MultiViews FollowSymLinks </Directory> ErrorLog /srv/www/example/log/error.log TransferLog /srv/www/example/log/access.log </VirtualHost> Notice the * as the server alias? that catches all the domains on that server. However, I have other sites on this server which I want to be excluded from this list. It is more economical for me to have a list of excluded domains than manually set every domain a user may register with at this service as a serverAlias... Perhaps this is not the best way to go, but I'm looking for help, in the best (relatively simple) way to set up a web-app that may catch any domains, while allowing other specific domains to be routed to different apps.     I'm working through a problem where I want to select a different static content file based on the incoming Host header. The simple example is a mapping from URLs to files like this: www.example.com/images/logo.gif - \images\logo.gif skin2.example.com/images/logo.gif - \images\skin2\logo.gif skin3.example.com/images/logo.gif - \images\skin3logo.gif I have this working with the following RewriteRules, but I don't like how I have to repeat myself so much. Each host has the same set of rules, and each RewriteCond and RewriteRule has the same path. I'd like to use the RewriteMap, but I don't know how to use it to map the %{HTTP_HOST} to the path. <VirtualHost *:80> DocumentRoot "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/htdocs" ServerName www.example.com ServerAlias skin2.example.com ServerAlias skin3.example.com RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} skin2.example.com RewriteCond %{DOCUMENT_ROOT}$1/skin2/$2 -f RewriteRule ^(.*)/(.*) $1/skin2/$2 [L] RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} skin3.example.com RewriteCond %{DOCUMENT_ROOT}$1/skin3/$2 -f RewriteRule ^(.*)/(.*) $1/skin3/$2 [L] </VirtualHost> The concept behind the rules is if the same filename exists in a subdirectory for that host, use it instead of the direct targeted file. This uses host based subdirectories at the lowest level, and not a top level subdirectory to separate content.

    If I do the following (this is the actual/direct path to the JavaScript file): <script href="http://localhost/tpl/blue/js/functions.js" type="text/javascript"></script> It works fine, and the JavaScript parses - as its meant too. However I'm wanting to shorten the path to the JavaScript file (aswell as do some caching) which is why I'm rewriting all JavaScript files via .htaccess to cache.php (which handles the caching). The .htaccess contains the following: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^js/(.+?\.js)$ cache.php?file=$1 [NC] </IfModule> cache.php contains the following PHP code: <?php if (extension_loaded('zlib')) { ob_start('ob_gzhandler'); } $file = basename($_GET['file']); if (file_exists("tpl/blue/js/".$file)) { header("Content-Type: application/javascript"); header('Cache-Control: must-revalidate'); header('Expires: ' . gmdate('D, d M Y H:i:s', time() + 3600) . ' GMT'); echo file_get_contents("tpl/blue/js/".$file); } ?> and I'm calling the JavaScript file like so: <script href="http://localhost/js/functions.js" type="text/javascript"></script> But doing that the JavaScript doesn't parse? (if I call the functions which are within functions.js later on in the page they don't work) - so theirs a problem either with cache.php or the rewrite rule? (because the file by itself works fine). If I access the rewrited file- http://localhost/js/functions.js directly it prints the JavaScript code, as any JavaScript file would - so I'm confused as to what I'm doing wrong... All help is appreciated! :)
